Immediately after Typhoon Yolanda struck the Visayas region and parts of Bicol and South Luzon, CFC-FFL, through its Work With The Poor (WWP) ministry, initiated the A Drop of Love campaign, to raise funds for relief and restoration efforts. Thanks to the generosity and support of the CFC-FFL Family worldwide and our corporate partners, the worth of goods and cash donations received by the third week reached Php 3,785,746.00. WWP ministry is taking the lead in our restoration efforts for the affected areas. In partnership with Habitat for Humanity, plans are underway for the construction and repair of houses and chapels, as well as the provision of sources of livelihood for identified recipients. In order to sustain our rehabilitation plans, we are counting on your generosity. For information on how to send your donations, go to page 2.

Around three hundred members gathered at Tarlac Capitol in Tarlac City last November 10 for the BE. LI.EV.E Echo Conference. The speakers who led the three sessions were Brothers Oca Oblefias, Dino Badilla, and Jepoy Meneses. Though this conference had to be rescheduled due to the occurrence of a typhoon, the participants still came and participated with much enthusiasm. Truly, nothing can dampen the faith of the people who believes in a God that can do wonders!

CFC Singles for Family and Life (SFL) Power Up Committed Servants Weekend for Western Visayas took place last November 23 to 24, 2013 at Binalbagan, Negros Occidental. Seventy SFL Household Servants from Iloilo, Antique, Bacolod, Kabankalan and Binalbagan gathered together to be nourished and empowered to respond to Gods call and to bring the cause of Christ to where the singles are. In one of the sessions, each district shared their dream that, in five years time, the ministry would have presence in all parishes, shall be brought to the corporate world through the Crossworks Program and there would be young couples serving in SFL. Alongside this retreat, Crossworks was also established in Intellicare Bacolod with the first session held entitled One Friend Request. CFC-SFL will continue to serve in this company and is excited to bring the program to more companies. Truly, with the power of the Holy Spirit, even our SFL ministry in Western Visayas is powered up to do more for God.

Good News to the ends of the earth. Such is the privilege of the call that was received by our missionaries from CFC India: Tony and Maria Correia, and Stephanie DSouza, who will set off soon for a mission adventure in Malawi, Africa. Tony and Maria joined CFC in 1987, while Steph joined our youth ministry in 2005. Tony served as the National Director of CFC India from 2004 to 2007, and its Country Servant from 2008 to 2011. In 2012, Tony and Maria served as Unit Servants of SFL in their parish. Prior to becoming missionaries, Tony was a banker, Maria was a High School teacher and Stephanie was a Social Worker. Tony believes that missionaries are sent. They focus on the people to whom they have been sent and they do not focus on coming back! They are committed to serve in Malawi until the Lord gives them a new call.
As a community, we offer our prayers for Tony, Maria and As we continually respond to our calling to be a mis- Steph who are scheduled to leave for Malawi by the second sionary and evangelistic community, we thank God for half of January 2014. May the Spirit empower them to be inspiring men and women to say Yes! to bring the powerful witnesses of the Gospel.
Our BINHI scholars, their parents & siblings, our dear BINHI sponsors, the EFI Staff, and BATA teachers gathered together to celebrate the season of joy and hope last November 30, 2013 at our CFC-FFL Home Office. It was a rare opportunity for our BINHI scholars to be in fellowship with their sponsors. The afternoon was filled with exciting games, fun activities and a Christmas presentation by the Binhi Scholars. The celebration was simple but the happiness and enthusiasm of the scholars was felt by all of us.
