1 Executive Summary First Business was developed beyond history when someone have something as product and he need something, so he decided to give his product to some other person in barter trade system to fulfil his need. Later on a lot of ways introduced in business. People need some thing and they sell their own services or products to other person in trade of money. It is the definition of business according to me. When I studied advanced life skill development, I realized that it is necessary to start my my own business instead of serve any person and get some salary. And when I am supposed to choose any business for my final project, I prefer my family business Heavy transport Garage as my own future business. As it is my family business and it support mostly heavy transport service and sales of spare parts , so I have decided to open it in Suhar region which is mostly accompanied by heavy transport companies and main large industrial area is there and there is more oppurtunities on this region for my business. I will open branch of my business in that area. As from childhood I am observing what are good and bad in this business , and I have 12 year experience of running of my father and uncle garages , so it will be an easy job because I know already what are strength and weakness of this business.

2 Businesses Concept / Idea & Approach

As I have to extend my family business and my family business is running more then 30 years in Oman, I it will a good advantage to open a branch with same name as Al Maamary heavy transport Garage and sell of spare parts. As I discus above that large industrial area is working in Sohar and mostly trucks are going to UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, KSA and all over the Gulf from here, so there is more opportunities for this business. And my shop name is symbol of quality and better service since 30 years so it will help me to introduce in that area faster and help me getting more customer earlier. When I have visited this area for checking opportunities for my business, I have found most of garages have not proper machinery and not good satisfactory service, and these garages are working and just working but not making good profit. But one or two garages are working good as they have good service but still dont have latest machinery. When I will start my business here, I will offer free on road service in Oman, so I will get most of companies as mostly trucks have problems on road, and it is expensive to fix them on road. 3 Business Vision, Mission & Objectives 3.1 Business Vision Vision of any business indicates what is goal or goals of company which it try to achieve in a specific time like 5 or 10 years, so my vision is to make my garage number one garage

in oman which offer free road service if any problem coming with companies trucks and find most of heavy transport companies as my best clients. 3.2 Business Mission With Devotion and motivation of my staff I make my garage customer friendly which make it easy for customer to decide where to go for their heavy transport problems solutions with ease of access. 3.3 Business Objectives/Goals Offer a best and easy service to all Heavy duty Transport with latest equipments. Offer a stock of all spare parts of Heavy duty Transport in a inexpensive price Train the staff to provide the best and customer friendly service to get long time customers companies.

Market Analysis & Product /Service Description

4.1 Market Analysis If I want to analyze the market where I want to start the business, my course teach me good analyzing methods before starting a business so I save from possible loss. These methids are two types which are given below; PSET & SWOT Now I use them in my business analysis. Political Factors : As His highness Sultan Qaboos encourage small and medium size business and also helps to increase business ratio in Oman, so I have no problem to start this business, and also I know He helps small business so I am happy to start with. Economical Factors : as we know most of business are depending upon Heavy transport as corriers and transportation and many more, so I have a good chance to get involved in this field and start making good money, so I have no doubt this factor will be worked well with me. Social Factor : As I know this factor attract the social values of any business, and most of my customers are big companies with a lot of employees, so this factor also not bad for me. Technological Factor : As I discuss above, in this area all garages have old machinery and bad service , so when I am using latest equipment as well as customer friendly service, I will get most of companies as my client. Now I am discuss about SWOT analysis.

Strength : as I am opening branch of my family business which is working for more then 30 years, It is my strength point, and also my competators old tools and bad serive is my good strength , as one customer visit my garage, he will not come to other garages. Weakness : most of companies looking for credit work, but I want to do only cash but reasonable price, so it might be my possible weakness. Opportunities : with excellent and customer friendly service I will focus all market to myself. And low cost spares no customer will go to other shop. Threads : Less staff and credit work which other garages offers may be thread for my business.

4.2 Product and / or Service Description I am opening a garage for heavy duty transport as well as cheap spares for that in Sohar industrial area. I am offering on road service through out Oman for all my clients as still no one offers this. It will be my one more business point which boost my business in days to the peak of growth. I have some compotators but with bad service and old machinery which lead me to success soon. All companies in this area know already my family business back ground and quality provided by my family business from last 30 years , so they should not have any hesitation to work with us. 4.3 Target Customers All my customers are transport companies and people who have heavy transport and they want a good place for service maintenance and spare parts of their vehicles. Most of companies are working with credit work, but I am only offering cash work, so it would be a little bit difficult for me at starting but with the passage of time my business will strart famous gradually for its low cost maintenance nad good quality service.

4.4 Competitor Analysis & Competitive Advantage Suhail Bahwan and khimji ramdas is my key competators in this field in that area. I have to do too much advertise and making more effective compensation deals for customer companies to attract them. These competators have very much high prices. Other all garage in that area have less prices but very bad quality. I will compete all these with best quality service with lowest prices. And all parts will be available for customers at any time. And road maintenance kit include all tools necessary for any damaged truck.

4.5 Marketing Strategies

Without marketing starting of any business will take more then a year to get started benefits so I have decided to advertise on radio because all heavy transporters listen radio during driving, so they will attract soon. Once any customer come to me, he will not go other site but bringing more customers for us. We offer on road maintenance which mean in Oman if any of our customer truck is under problem, we will go there and fix free but taking cost of parts used. This offer make all customers crazy and they will come to us as they know time is most important in this field. If one truck is late may be they get too much loss for that.

5 Business Operations & Production/Service Plan

5.1 Legal Status and Approvals required I am opening the branch of my family business which will be trade and service of heavy transport. I am General manager there. All investment is coming from my father as they will happy to expand their business. All approval from ministry of trade and ministry of heavy transport is already in line.

5.2 Production / Service Process I am starting a services business as garage and trading business sell of spare parts of heavy transport which will equip with latest technology and provide best service for heavy transport. Which makes my business grow up fast as well as name of my company provides a trust for customers to come in. I will beat the competators with lowest parts and best client service. 5.3 Location & Facilities Best location for any business is that which is easy to access for your customers , I have open this garage in Sohar which is the main area where all stands for transport companies and all people can access my garage easily, I am providing here truck wash as well as service and also provide cheapest and good quality spare parts of trucks and one special service which is on road maintenance of trucks.

5.4 Plant and equipment

I will fix latest truck wash kit. It need electricity as well as water and computer to operate with. I need a mobile van which provide on road service. And I need showroom furniture for sell for spares. For service I need latest servicing tool which I will buy directly from china. 5.5 Suppliers As it is my family business and I run it for more then 12 years so I know where are the places where I can get spares cheap from china and also my family have all stock for ready use, so if I need any thing in emergency I can purchase from them direct, as it is branch of main company so my company also help me for this.

5.6 Scope of Business Operations If I am start business with analysing the market need and offers what is really attract customer and provide what customer need and satisfy, I will grow my business well. So when I take analyse I found this is the right business for right place which I should do to grow up my money and help the right customer and providing them what is exactly they need at their door step. So I found scope of my business is very clear and gradually upgrading. 6 Organisation 6.1 Organizational Structure Roles & Requirements I need three portions for my business, one garage and other show room so I need staff as follow; Garage: Workers 4 in no. supervisor Sales/Accounts manager Machenic 2 in no. Show room: Sales man 2 in no. Cashier On road service: Machenic 2 in no. Driver 1 in no.

Garage Workers Do service and truck wash, salary 100 OMR Supervisor To super vise truck wash and service procedure ,salary 150 OMR Sales/Accounts manager To maintain cash and work, salary 200 OMR Mechanic To do truck service, salary 120 OMR Show room Sales man To sale spare parts, salary 100 OMR Cashier To maintain cash and inventory. salary 200 OMR On road service Mechanic To do outdoor truck maintenance, salary 150 OMR Driver To take crew to damage truck, salary 120 OMR

7 Risk Assessment

7.1 Risks Risk is important to be calculated before starting any business. These are two types. Which are; Internal risk Staff may be not qualified. Safety risk like fire of minor injury during work

External Risk Reduced supply of spare parts for trucks. Prices might vary. 7.2 Contingency Plan For internal risks. Before keep any staff we will provide good training and make sure he know his work well. And keep only right candidate for right job. Insurance policy and first aid course will be conducted on yearly basis.

For external Risks. As it is my family business, and always have more stock in warehouse from main company, so no need to fear about supply disturbance. As max stock available in ware house, no need to take tension about high cost prices, but it is advantage as we sell low prices spares in high season to make profit. 8 Financial Projections

My business is my family business and my family as well as I know all its pros and cons. And my family is happy to open a branch of their business hence extended their business brings more money for them, so they already agreed to open a new branch in such a suitable location for me. No problem about money, all coming from my family and it is actually a limited partnership as after expences profit will be half. And I am make sure that i will all take back investment in one year. Opening of this business need 25000 OMR, which is already spared by my family.
