Introduction
I first started to look into midwest hip-hop/rap when my mom showed me Kanye West and Jamie Foxxs single Gold Digger I fell in love after I saw Common and Kanye West perform The Food live on the Dave Chappelle show I felt a connection with the music because the soulful rhythm and blues beat made me move my feet and it felt good

The need for immediate profit is not a pressure. The product is promoted to create awareness. (Alternative hip hop started as one of the many different styles during the Golden Age of Hiphop. Usually lots of sampling and reworking of older songs.)

Keep YELLOW words, Replace WHITE

At this point there is a downturn in the market. For example more innovative products are introduced or consumer tastes have changed. Still sometimes on the radio, but mostly through YouTube or Pandora

Competitors are attracted into the market with very similar offerings. De La Soul Once again its time to bite more soul/A flavor you will savor in your soul

Price wars and intense competition occur. At this point the market reaches saturation. If I don't get ran out by Catholics, here come some conservative Baptists/ Claiming I'm overreacting like them black kids in Chiraq b*tch --Yeezus

The Very Beginning

Alternative hip-hop It was adapted from hip-hop from the South Bronx Mixed different genres (funk, jazz, soul)
3 Feet High and Rising not only proved that rappers didn't have to talk about the streets to
succeed, but also expanded the palette of sampling material with a kaleidoscope of sounds and references culled from pop, soul, disco, and even country music. with De La Soul the Daisy Age seemed to promise a new era of positivity in hip-hop Music Critic Jon Bush
