This is a mock test prepared by AFD academic team and is based on pattern of questions asked in previous years PGDPD entrance exams of the National Institute of Design. Please note these are not past question papers and that this mock test is indicative of the type of questions asked. Paper: 1 (Common For all Streams) 40 marks Time: 1 hr 30 mins

Q1) You are Given an object (tooth brush ). Draw the object from three different angles, emphasizing three distinct features. (Note: you do not have to draw the complete object, but choose an angle, which gives an idea of the whole object) ( 8 marks) ( 3 boxes of 4"x3" were given separately to draw the 3 different angles.) . Q2) Imagine the object is of the size of an elephant / and placed in a garden/park. Draw the scene. You can shade, render etc using any medium of colours. ( 16 marks) (8"x8" square provided ) Q3) Choose any of the following emotion sober, pleasant, sleepy. Give the selected expression to object. Also give a title/caption to your drawing. ( 8 marks) ( 8"x8" provided). Q4)Imagine the object 192 years from now. Draw the futuristic version of the object which will then exist. Explain your concept, and describe the features it will have. ( 8 marks) ( 8"x8" provided).

Communication Design: Graphic Design/ animation design / Film & Video communication Test 2 : 60 Marks Time 1.30 hrs

1.1 Write a Story in 300 words, explaining a a) Inaugural Function b) Personality c) Reality Show that you are familiar with. Your story should have minimum two characters. 1.2 In one square box given below (8 x 8), illustrate any important incident / event from your story. ( 30 marks) 2.1a) Select any INDIAN SEASONAL DRINK and draw it. Show the execution of how you would plan to promote the product. A complete media planning showing the different mediums used and your different ideas.(About 3 sides of blank pages were given) OR 2.1b)Select any INDIAN FOOT ACCESSORY and advertise it, create an ad /animation film of 30 seconds in action with proper music score and voice overs.
