Advanced Production Engineering Course

Bogot, Octubre 21 al 25 2013

Level: Advance Course Description An advanced course of the total system associated with production and transportation of oil and gas. Included are inflow Performance relationships (IPR's), steady state multiphase flow through wells, pipes and restrictions and Nodal Analysis. In-class production engineering problem solving software is incorporated after each major topic to reinforce the material. A capstone design project under a team setting brings all the material taught together. The state of the art research results and their applications in operations and production system design are discussed throughout the course. This course provides an improved and fundamental understanding of production systems. This Course Features: In-depth coverage of production engineering fundamentals along with practical problem solving sessions. A design Project. Utilization of a Commercial Production Design Software. This Course us Designed for: System Engineers, Process Engineers, Operations Engineers, Facilities Engineers, Reservoir Engineers, Production Engineers, Petroleum Engineers, Flow Assurance Engineers, Technical Consultants, and etc. Course Outline 1. Production System Major Components of a Total Production System Examples 2. Review of Mass Transfer Models Black-Oil and Compositional Models (Fluid Beggs and Brill) -Problem Solving with Software 3. Inflow Performance Relationship (IPR) Single-phase Flow (Productivity Index and Flow Efficiency) Two-phase Flow Vogel and Fetkovich Methods Flow Efficiency Future IPR's (Standing and Fetkovich Methods) Specific IPRs Problem Solving with Software 4.
