MOL Pakistan: Technical Scholarship Program 2012

MOL Pakistan, as part of its Community Development Program for TAL Block area intends to offer technical scholarship for two years to students belonging to areas of TAL Block in District Karak, Hangu and Kohat who have: 1. Completed two years studies in an engineering university (Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation, Chemical or Petroleum). 2. Completed one year studies for a 3 years diploma in a technical training institute (Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation, Chemical or Petroleum). 3. Completed two year studies for a 4 years B.Sc. Honors course in Geology / Geophysics. 4. The eligible students must have obtained 70% marks or above throughout their academic career since SSC. All Institutions where students are studying should be approved by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and/or Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and/or Board of Technical Education, as applicable. The scholarship will be offered in the selected disciplines mentioned above. Preference will be given to those students belonging to union councils which are part of the Manzalai and Makori D&P Lease and areas of TAL Block where production of oil and/or gas has already started or near to be started. Who can apply?

Those having domicile of TAL Block area in District Karak, Kohat or Hangu. Have completed 2 years studies in engineering university or one year study in technical institute for 3 years diploma in the disciplines mentioned above or 2 years studies in Geology / Geophysics as applicable (attested DMCs from head of institution / department for the relevant years be attached).

Must be 24 years of age or below at the time of submission of application. Have obtained 70% marks (3.00 CGPA) throughout his / her academics since SSC (attested DMCs from head of institution / department for each year be attached). Enrollment slip for the relevant year of admission from the head of institution where degree / diploma is being undertaken. Attested copies of certificates pertaining to candidates co-curricular activities to be attached with the application.

Students who are physically handicapped / disabled and satisfy the above criteria are encouraged to apply. Female students are also eligible and encouraged to apply. Surety from head of institution that the candidate bears good moral character and is not receiving at present any other scholarship or financial assistance from any other source (details of those received shall also be mentioned).

All the interested students meeting the above requirements shall apply through an application form available at MOL Pakistan website and CRO offices at production facilities in District Karak. Application along with attested copies of self CNIC / B Form, fathers CNIC, domicile certificate, two passport size photographs, and other documents mentioned above shall reach to MOL Pakistan through the head of institution by November 05, 2012 at the following address. Direct applications to MOL Pakistan will not be entertained and must be sent through the principal / head of the institute/department.
