The light plays an important role in the growth of plant, and it influences much the output and quality of plant in any kind of plant cultivation

How Does the Plant Grow Better?

In previous analysis, we learned that the output of plants can be dramatically increased if there is a better solution of light for plants; however, different color from different wave length of light has different effect on the growth of plant , as below drawing shows, if we can give suitable light for what plant needs, then the plant will surely grow faster and better.

The Effects of Light on Plant Growth

The light, as an important environmental factor in plant growing, is the sole source of external energy and influence much on growth of plants. Different wavelength of light in visible spectrum has different effect on the photosynthetic of plant, it is because different chlorophylls and carotenoids only capture and absorb certain specific wavelength of light in visible spectrum.

From the above analysis, we can see that photosynthetic of plant requires the light in the wavelength of 400 720nm, among which the blue color (440 480nm) and red color (640 680nm) plays the most important role of photosynthetic of plant, there just a little green color (520 610nm) is absorbed in pigment of plant.
