The Commission is currently a participant in a regionalized program aimed at providing recreational services to handicapped individuals from various communities. This unique approach has developed into a year-round coordination of programs. For registration information call the Therapeutic Recreation Services Office 526-5650, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm., Monday through Friday. GENERAL POLICIES Supervision: Parents or Guardians of minors are responsible for dropping off and picking up children PROMPTLY. Parent or Guardian are to pick up their child in the building where the program is being held. Eligibility: All township residents are eligible to participate in all programs. Non-residents may participate if there is room in the program and an additional fee is added to the program. Financial Assistance: The Recreation Commission offers reduced fee registration for children who are eligible under the guidelines of the Federal Subsidized Lunch Program. Call the Recreation office for information at 369-4832 PRIOR TO REGISTRATION. Communications: Inclement Weather: Closing notifications due to inclement weather will be emailed to you. Should Hillsborough Township Schools be closed for all or part of the day, the program is canceled on that day.

Coaches Certification and Background Check: All volunteer coaches must be certified with the adopted certification program of the Recreation Commission. (Rutgers Certification) and must have a Background Check.
Refund Policy: The Recreation Commission reserves the right to cancel, alter, supplement, limit registration or change any of the dates, times, locations, ages, fees, or other information listed in this brochure.
There will be NO REFUNDS of any registration fees unless the program is canceled by the Recreation Commission.

This program has been designed from years of youth exercise science research. It will focus on aspects of athleticism through exercises that address strength, power, speed, agility, and flexibility. This is a great way to stay in shape for your sport or recreational activity through the winter. A 45 minute fun filled workout will be offered. Please dress in workout clothes and bring a water bottle.

This class enhances a child's natural love of music! Children ages newborn through 5 years develop their roots in a stimulating, music-rich environment. Singing, dancing, instrument play, stories, prop play, rhymes and rhythms will help your child grow and learn. Our interactive class requires participation with caregivers.

When
March 31 April 25 Practices/Training April 26th June 7th Games begin with Opening Day Ceremony at Singley Park. All leagues will play 2 games during the week and 1 game on Saturday with the exception of the Independent League. THERE WILL NOT BE ANY GAMES SCHEDULED FOR SUNDAYS. June 9 - Single elimination playoffs begin.

Leagues
Independent League- Grades K-TP - Games will be held on Tues. and Sat.
Introduction to the fundamentals of softball. Catching, fielding and hitting will be the primary focus. Coaches will assist in the field and at bat. Players will hit off a tee. Scores will not be kept.
Instructional League- Grades 1st-2nd - Games will be held on Mon, Thurs. and Sat.
Introduction to softball where coaches will pitch. Catching, fielding and hitting will be addressed. Game scores will not be kept.
Junior League- Grades 3rd-4th - Games will be held on Mon, Wed. and Sat.
Introduction to fundamentals of game: hitting, fielding, throwing, sliding and catching. Both coaches and players pitch to help develop game skills.
Middle League Grades 5th-6th - Games will be held on Tues, Thurs. and Sat.
Focus on improving basic hitting and fielding skills. Rules of game are amended similar to the Junior League. Standings will be recorded and playoffs will take place. Coaches will not pitch.
Intermediate League Grades 7th-8th - Games will be held on Mon, Wed. and Sat.
Focus on refinement of fundamental skills such as hitting, fielding, throwing and catching. Introduction to more challenging skills of base running, base stealing, bunting and pitching. Standings will be recorded and playoffs will take place.
Senior League Grades 9th-12th - Games will be held on Tues, Thurs. and Sat.
All skill sets to be reinforced through game play. Hitting, fielding, throwing, catching, base running base stealing, sliding, bunting and pitching, to name a few. Standings will be recorded and playoffs will take place.
