K.S. Krishnamurtis Original Method of Finding a Muhurta

inding the correct Muhurta (auspicious time for making an event successful) has been an important pursuit for many successful astrologers. In the field of KP astrology there is lot of unstandardized literature on Muhurta with KP astrology. In this issue dedicated to K.S. Krishnamurti on his 106th Birth Anniversary, I decided to provide all of you a rare article by K.S. Krishnamurti on selecting a Muhurta, which was published in Astrology and Athrista, February 1964 issue wherein he guided his own daughter in opening a bank account in a bank at an auspicious time. You will clearly see that the great Guru KSK, had a simple way of finding Muhurta based on traditional knowledge as well as his stellar method. It is a must read for all of you who would like to know the old and authentic KSK method and not any modern distortion in the name of KP Muhurta. You will notice in the article that in the old Astrology and Athrista Magazine, as early as in its formative years (it started in 1963), KSK used to call himself as Kayeskay, and wrote many articles in this name. Knowing the history of KP astrology is very crucial for successful prediction because hidden in Astrology and Athristha magazines of yesteryears are the true gems of KP astrology. Only JASA is dedicated in bringing out these authentic and true treasures of KP astrology to the whole world for the benefit of astrology lovers. So, first let us read this article and get enriched.

I am very proud to say that your prestigious international journalJASAhas scored a century this month!! It has crossed the 100 country mark in terms of readership reach and there are 15000+ readers spread across the world who have shown their faith on this journal for its authenticity and high quality. The reason can be seen in this issue itself. In this issue we have close to a dozen KP Astrology articles authored by seasoned and veteran astrologers. Among these, there are KP articles which have made future predictions about the State Assembly Elections of 2013. We have created a new section titled Future Predictions to encourage and showcase such talented astrologers. Apart from these, there are our regular authors who keep on providing us with high class and high quality astrological material by enriching us with their personal astrological experiential journey. They are not only KP astrologer, but also 4 Step Theorists, Naadi Astrologer with family heritage, inventors of tested methodologies and many more. It is my honor to publish their articles in this prestigious international journal of stellar astrology. Last but not the least. One of our readers has made an EXPLOSIVE REVELATION about Intercepted Signs and Karma but providing scanned pages of books which were used by someone to misguide people that Intercepted Signs have nothing to do with Karma. The truth is evident now in JASA.

Enjoy this issue!

I enjoy reading your emails, so do keep on writing.

Goodluck!

n our life, we are at a temporary halt in the continuation of our journey according to what we sow in our previous births. This will continue until we harvest and pay all our debts and get clearance for a release, when there are no more debts to settle.

This cycle could clearly be identified from the astrological charts for death and rebirth chart along with the pre natal epoch (PNE) charts. This is a set of astrological charts which we wish to compare a rebirth with rebirth, death and previous birth including the pre natal epoch. We will start with the re birth chart. The Planetary positions at the time of re birth are as follows; Nirayana Planetary Positions at re birth.

JASA Vol.3 (2) Oct-Dec 2013 th The 12 bhava shows our spending and paying backs in the birth chart which are collected from the first bhava to the 11th bhava. At the same time this is the place where we could indentify the details of our immediate past life. In this chart the 12th bhava falls in the sign of Scorpio and this 12th bhava is extending from the signs of Scorpio to Sagittarius. Both 11th and 12th cusps are falling in the sign of Scorpio. This has resulted an intercepted sign Aquarius as the 2nd cusp is on Capricorn and the 3rd cusp is on Pisces. This interception is again appearing in Leo as the 8th bhava connecting in Cancer and ending in Virgo. In this chart, Jupiter is deposited in the 12th bhava occupying the sign of Sagittarius, in its own sign. This Jupiter is deposited in a star of Kethu. Kethu is the planet in a horoscope who is holding all the qualities of the previous births or past lives. This Kethu is occupying the sign of Gemini and the 7 th bhava thus making the Rahu Kethu axis in Sagittarius and Gemini signs. Uranus is occupying the centre point of this Rahu Kethu axis. This nodal axis from Gemini to Sagittarius is an indication of retaining the truth and having secret connections, in connection with communication and correspondence matters. The owner of this sign, Mercury is deposited in the 10th bhava with trine aspect to Kethu. This Kethu is a good indication of that the native will have a very good social status due to his honest activities in the public life. The owner of the 12th bhava is Mars. This Mars is deposited in the 9th bhava, showing Poorva punya. Mars is deposited in a star of Moon who is occupying the 4th bhava. Next, the planet Saturn is well connected to past life activities Saturn in this chart is the owner of the 2nd bhava and occupying the 5th bhava in the sign of Taurus ruled by Venus. Therefore Saturn will be connected with gains on artistic and sports activities connected with speculations. This Saturn in trine aspect with Uranus in the 9th bhava. The planet Pluto is also deposited in the 9th bhava in Virgo, with square aspect to Jupiter, the owner and the depositor of the 12th bhava. Pluto is the planet who will be helping Rahu to go in its forward march by unearthing the secrets concealing by Kethu specially in a re birth chart. Now we consider the planetary positions of this native in his pre natal epoch chart. Nirayana Planetary Positions at Pre Natal Epoch.

We have counted the dasa periods according to Vimsoththari dasa system during the birth, death and rebirth. When it is taken from the dasa balance at the time of birth, During the time of birth. When it is taken from the dasa balance at the time of rebirth, During the time of birth. Venus dasa, Mars bukthi Death Rebirth

According to the above explanations it is clear that there is a very good connection in the planetary positions of all the type of astrological charts as we are born again and again till we find the place when there are no more debts to pay. Therefore it is a very good indication that our life is continued proving the following theory of the great scientist Sir Isaac Newton, There is an equal and opposite reaction to all actions. It is perfectly correct in the physical world and our lives. These analyses are done according to some of the rules in the infallible Krishnamurthi Paddhathi and some Western methods of reincarnation. LONG LIVE KRISHNAMURTHI PADDHATHI.

Editors Note
This is a very unique and wonderful article by Sri Silva. As we all know, the very foundation of astrology is based on Birth, Death, Re-birth and the consequent Karma shown through the planetary positions in the horoscope, this article can serve as an eye opener for all the readers to understand the hidden patterns of planetary influences. 19

JASA Vol.3 (2) Oct-Dec 2013 Venus and Venus posited in Gemini sign. By keeping the Horary Moon star lord posited house as Nakshatra Prasna Lagna (NPLagna). Venus is in the star of Mrigaseera whose lord Mars is Jeeva planet of Venus, Jeeva planet Mars is star of Krithika whose lord is Sun, hence Sun has become Sareera planet of Venus. By linking these two planets (Mars and Sun) it is possible to say answer. Dr.Raja said the answer in 2 or 3 minutes. Nakshatra Prasna Lagna Gemini, there we can see all auspicious planets Mercury, Jupiter, Venus posited, this indicates that her wish of joining in the best college will be fulfilled and she will get the best of the best place for admission. Secondly note that Jeeva and Sareera planet of HRM Venus is Mars and Sun posited 12th to NPL. This shows she will go away from house for further studies. Jeeva and Sareera planets Mars and Sun are friends and they are lord of 6,11 and 3rd respectively. Connection of 6 and 11 had given success in her completion and also connection of 3rd indicates seat availability near to her native place. The Jeeva Planet Mars indicates red colour (Building) and Sareera planet the Sun indicates big city that too capital of a state. But during the counselling on 24th July 13 she got admission in Madurai and joined the college by paying the fees and the place is around 400 km from her native place. The colour of the building is also not red. The native is confident that NPL method prediction will come correct. Surprisingly she was called for second counselling on 19 th August 13 and during the counselling she could get a seat in Chennai the capital of Tamil Nadu and college building is of red in colour. We can answeer any question by using Nakshatra Prasna method linking NPL and DRM, HRM and Jeeva Sareera of HRM. Readers can go through the Naksatra Prasna articles published in earlier issues of JASA. Hints:

uestion of the Querent: Will I win court case or not? Horary Number: 122 (out of 249). Time of Judgment: 06-04-2013 (Saturday), 19:12:13 Hrs. (IST). Place of Judgment: Park Street (Long/Lat: 22N27, 88E20), Kolkata, West Bengal.

If the cuspal sublord of 6th signifies or in connection with 6 (Lower Court Matters, being 12th from 5th i.e. Loss of Opponents Success/Gains/Profits) or 4 (being 11th from 6th, Result of the Lawsuits) or 11 (Success, Fulfillment of desire, Profit or Gains through courts decisions), winning in court case is assured in the DBA of 4 or 6 or 11. MOON REVEALS THE NATURE OF QUERY Moon (Aquarius 06-26-42) is in the star of Mars and sub of Self (Moon). Moon is the occupant of 5, owner of 11. Starlord Mars is the occupant of 7, owner of 3 and 8. Mars is in rapt conjunction with Venus. Venus is the occupant of 7, owner of 2 and 9. Sublord Moon is not having stellar (positional) strength i.e. tenanted (there is planet in stars of Moon) and posited in star of Sun. Sun, being untenanted, is the occupant of 6, owner of 12. Moon signifies 11 and in connection with 6, hence query/urge is genuine.

CUSPAL ANALYSIS 6th Cusp (Aquarius 25-56-14): The sublord of 6th cusp Ketu is in star of Venus and sub of Mercury. Ketu is the occupant of 8. Ketu is having stellar (positional) strength i.e. untenanted (there is no planet in stars of Ketu) and CSL of 6 and 12. Ketu deposited in sign of Aries and thus acts an agent of Mars. Mars is the occupant of 7, owner of 3 and 8. Starlord Venus is the occupant of 7, owner of 2 and 9. 29

JOINT PERIOD (DBA) Present Dasha Lord: Mars (Upto 19-05-2013) Mars is a fruitful (common) planet. Mars posited in the sub of Rahu. Rahu as an agent of Saturn signifies 6. Thus Mars Dasha is taken into consideration. Present Bhukti Lord: Moon (from 19-10-2012 to 19-05-2013) Moon is a fruitful (common) planet. The Least Planetary Angular Distance between Dasha Lord Mars and Bhukti Lord Moon is 49 which is nearest to 45 (Semi Square Moderately Bad Aspect). However no good western aspect is required between Dasha Lord Mars and Bhukti 30

JASA Vol.3 (2) Oct-Dec 2013 Lord Moon as because Moon itself posited in star of Mars (Dasha Lord). As explained above Moon signifies 11 and in connection with 6, hence Moon Bhukti is taken into consideration. Present Anthra Lord: Venus (from 02-04-2013 to 08-05-2013) Venus is a fruitful (common) planet. Venus posited in sub of Rahu. Rahu as an agent of Saturn signifies 6 which is the prime house. Thus Rahu Anthra is taken into consideration. My Opinion: Winning in court case is assured in DBA of Mars-Moon-Venus (from 02-04-13 to 08-05-13). Actual Fact: Prediction comes correct. The final decision comes in favor of Querent/Native after dismissing case by the court which was earlier suited from opponents end. Pranaam to Lord Ganesh and Guruji KSK ! Pranaam to my Guruji Sri P. uestion: Will Sachin Tendulkar retire from International Test Cricket in 2013? Horary Number: 142 (out of 249). Time of Judgment: 05-10-2013 (Saturday), 10:52:37 Hrs. (IST). Place of Judgment: Park Street (Long/Lat: 22N27, 88E20), Kolkata, West Bengal. Hints: 5th house is considered for all type of sports & game like Cricket. 10th house is judge for profession of an individual like Cricketer. 4 and 9 are the negative houses (being 12th from 5th and 10th, Loss of sports and profession) from 5th and 10th. 12th house indicate life in an unfamiliar environment i.e. new environment & surroundings. Thus, 4th, 9th and 12th houses is to taken into consideration for judging retirement from sports (Cricket) and 10th (Profession) cuspal sublord is the guide. If the 10th (Profession) cuspal sublord be the signifies or in connection with 4 (being 12th from 5th, Loss of sports, end of everything), 9 (being 12th from 10th, Loss or out of Profession), or 12 (life in an unfamiliar environment i.e. new environment & surroundings), retirement from sports (Cricket) is assured during the joint period (DBAS) of significators of 4, 9 and 12. MOON REVEALS THE NATURE OF QUERY Moon (Virgo 20-40-08) is in the star of Self (Moon) and sub of Venus. Planet & Starlord Moon is the occupant of 11, owner of 10. Moon conjoined with Sun. Sun is the occupant of 11. Sublord Venus is the occupant of 1, owner of 1, 8 and 12. Moon signifies and/or in connection with the relevant houses, hence query or urge is genuine. CUSPAL ANALYSIS 10th Cusp (Cancer 28-32-17): The sublord of 10th cusp Saturn is in star of Rahu and sub of Venus. Planet Saturn is the occupant of 12, owner of 4. Saturn is having stellar (positional) strength i.e. untenanted (there is no planet in stars of Saturn) and CSL of 4 and 10. Starlord Rahu is the occupant of 12. Rahu acts an agent of Mercury and Saturn as Rahu conjoined to Mercury and Saturn. Mercury is the occupant of 12, owner of 9 and 11. Saturn as explained above signifies 4, 10 and 12. 33

JASA Vol.3 (2) Oct-Dec 2013 Sublord Venus is having no stellar (positional) strength i.e. tenanted (there is planet in stars of Venus) and posited in star of Jupiter. Jupiter is the occupant of 8, owner of 3 and 5. 10th CSL Saturn signifies 4, 9, 10, 11, 12 and in connection with 5.

(C) Fruitful (Common) planets among (A) and (B): Mars, Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu. Present Dasha Lord: Moon (upto 05-10-2015) Moon is not a fruitful (common) planet. But Moon is present under ruling planets. Now the question arises whether we consider Moon Dasha or not? As from reliable news reports, we all are aware the fact about rumors of retirement of Sachin from international test cricket. So, based on the performance of last 2 years, which is not good as per standards, it may be well assumed that that Sachin will not able continues his profession in International Test Cricket for a long time upto Moon Dasha which ends on 05-10-2015. Further Dasha Lord Moon signifies 10 (Profession) and posited in sub of Venus (a ruling planet). So, we cannot ignore Moon Dasha and accordingly taken into consideration. Present Bhukti Lord: Venus (upto 04-08-2013 to 04-04-2015) 34

JASA Vol.3 (2) Oct-Dec 2013 Venus is a fruitful (common) planet. Venus is in star of Jupiter and sub of Rahu. Planet Venus is the occupant of 1, owner of 1, 8 and 12. Starlord Jupiter is the occupant of 8, owner of 3 and 5. Sublord Rahu is the occupant of 12. Rahu as an agent of Mercury and Saturn, as explained above, signifies 4, 9, 10, 11 and 12. Thus, Bhukti Lord Venus signifies 5, 12 and in connection with 4, 9, 10, 11, 12. Hence, Venus Bhukti is taken into consideration. Present Anthra Lord: Venus (upto 04-08-2013 to 14-11-2013) As explained above, Venus signifies and in connection with all the relevant houses (i.e. 4, 9 and 12) required for retirement from cricket. Hence, Anthra Lord Venus is taken into consideration. My Opinion: Sachin Tendulkar will retire from International Test Cricket during the Joint Period (DBA) of Moon-Venus-Venus (from 04-08-2013 to 14-11-2013).

Pranaam to Lord Ganesh and Guruji KSK! Pranaam to my Guruji Sri P. Roychaudhary!

VII Cusp Sublord Rings The Wedding Bells: A Retrospective 4 Step Theory Analysis Sunil Gondhalekar
Sri Sunil Gondhalekar is the inventor of 4 Step Theory. He developed this theory in 1990 after many years of painstaking research. Sri Gondhalekar is a mechanical engineering diploma holder, who has also studied KP technique from 1980 and is the winner of many awards and titles. From 1993, he is the editor of a Marathi language magazine of astrology: Nakshatrache Dene, published from Maharashtra, India. He has also published various books on astrology in Marathi suc h as Vivaha Yoga, courses on KP, Nakshatra Sandesh, Nakshatra Prabha, Nakshatra Triveni. Email: sunilalaka@yahoo.com

ne of our KP follower Shri Munot from Pune sent me Xerox copy of an article published in K.P.Year Book-2009.The article heading was IV CUSP SUBLORD RINGS THE WEDDING BELL and written by Mr. V.S.N.Murthy from Kurnool. In the said article author has produced one chart of male native wherein 7th sublord was not signifying 2-7-11 houses and still native got married on 12th Nov.2003. So author has used special rule If the 4th cuspal sublord signifies 2-4-7 or 11, which are relevant marital houses, then marriage is promised With due respect to author I have to explain same case where 4 step theory gives the correct answers, no special rule is needed. The birth details of the male native are as follows: D.O.B.: 7th Sept.1974 T.O.B.:05-50 AM Birth place: Anantpur-AP 14N41;77E36 The birth chart is enclosed for the reference. In this chart 7th cusp sublord is Venus and it signifies as follows: The figures indicated in brackets are strong significators. PLANET : VENUS Itself :-------------- Venus:- 12 3 10 It's N.Swami :-------- Ketu:- (10) It's Sub :------------ Mars:- (1) 4 9 It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Sun:- (1) 1 Jupiter-Drusht (7) (5) (8) Saturn-Drusht (11) (6) 7 Rashi-Swami Venus (12) (3) 10

Here Venus signifies 7-11-5-8 houses on 4th step indicates marriage is promised. Now to consider the marriage period we will have to check DBA Native was operating Mars dasa till 20-06-2007.Let us check the signification of Mars, it is as follows: 37

JASA PLANET : MARS Itself :-------------- Mars:- (1) 4 9 It's N.Swami :-------- Sun:- (1) 1 It's Sub :------------ Jupiter:- 7 5 8 It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Rahu:- (4)

Vol.3 (2)

Oct-Dec 2013

Jupiter-Drusht (7) (5) (8) Saturn-Drusht (11) (6) 7 Sun-Drusht 1 1 Rashi-Swami Mars (1) 4 9

It's N.Swami :-------- Mercury:- (1) (2) 11 Dasa swami Mars signifies 2-7-11-5-8 houses. Since 7th sub signifying 5-8 houses indicates delay for marriage till age of 27-28 years. So Saturn Bhukti (from 9-11-2002 to 19-12 2003) can be considered for marriage. Signification of Saturn is as follows: PLANET : SATURN Itself :-------------- Saturn:- (11) (6) 7 It's N.Swami :-------- Jupiter:- (7) (5) (8) It's Sub :------------ Saturn:- (11) (6) 7 It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Jupiter:- (7) (5) (8) Sun-Drusht (1) 1 Sun-Drusht (1) 1

Here Saturn signifies 11-7-5-8 houses thus completing the chain of houses, now to select antara generally nodes are selected in such cases, but in this chart nodes are not much strong than the planets Mars and Jupiter. Since the native has fixed sign ascendant selection of Jupiter than Mars will have to be considered. Jupiter signifies as follows: PLANET : JUPITER Itself :-------------- Jupiter:- 7 5 8 It's N.Swami :-------- Rahu:- (4) Sun-Drusht 1 1 Rashi-Swami Mars (1) 4 9

It's N.Swami :-------- Mercury:- (1) (2) 11 It's Sub :------------ Mars:- (1) 4 9 It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Sun:- (1) 1 Jupiter-Drusht (7) (5) (8) Saturn-Drusht (11) (6) 7

Jupiter signifies 2-7-11-5-8- houses hence marriage will be during this antara which is operating from 26-10-2003 to 19-12-2003 and actual marriage is celebrated on 12-11-2003 which is very accurate. In this chart marriage is not celebrated in Jupiter bhukti but in anatara which also reveals the fixed sign ascendant delays the matter, so marriage was celebrated in Shani bhukti, Jupiter antara. So we can safely conclude that only 7th cusp sublord is capable for to ring the wedding bells. 38

he well placed parents of the native approached me somewhere in May 2012 with their daughters chart. They were worried as the girl failed to pass the Medical entrance exam, where even variation in one mark , makes quite a lot of difference. The time window was of Sat/Mer at the time of failure in entrance exam. Let us first probe why despite being a bright student she failed in the entrance exam in Sat/Mer

JASA Explanation through Stellar Astrology

Vol.3 (2)

Oct-Dec 2013

----Sub period ruler Mer in the star of Moon placed in 12H of failure . Traditional Explanation ---Sub period ruler Mer is 12L of failure and is in 2/12 (where 12th for failure) with dashalord Saturn and is ill-placed in the unfriendly 8th Rasi from the Moon sign Parents were in a dilemma as to the future studies of the girl and wanted my opinion . Retrogression and its meaning At the time of consultation, the girl was having Mercury subperiod that was in retrograde mode at birth. I have written several times in my write-ups that one Key word for a retrograde planet is Relapse /repetition Mercury is Vidya karaka or causative planet of education. It is in dwirdwadasa or 2/12 with dashalord Saturn and is in 7H of Gamana Agamana means going out and returning. Mer is also the 12L of new environment . So it was told that the girl is going to move out of her residence where she stays with her parents to a new place for the purpose of learning and it may be repeaters course (An intense course conducted by private tutorials for entrance exams for Engineering and Medicine ) . To my utter astonishment, the father interfered at this stage and told me that they are planning to send her for repeaters course in a distant district that is considered to be the best in the state . Readers are requested to take note how the retrogression of the sub period ruler plays its role. The parents were eager to know whether the girl will be successful in the next entrance exam of 2013 if she is send for repeaters course. I was in a fix because the girl has to discontinue her regular studies if she opts for a full time repeaters course and incase prediction failed she will lose precious one academic year. Moreover, to give an answer which course one will pursue from natal chart is extremely difficult . At this time I recollected an article of one KP Astrologer S N Sardar of Kolkatta in KP Year book of 2012 where he has given case studies of successful prediction of medical entrance through KP from natal chart . Based on the invaluable guidelines given in the S N Sardars article , I decided to attempt the query . Hospital Signs of the Zodiac Virgothe sixth sign of the natural Zodiac Scorpio ---the eighth sign of the natural Zodiac Pisces the twelfth sign of the natural Zodiac Leo too important since it is ruled by Sun (Lord Shiv the Vaidyanathan Lord of physicians )

43

JASA Vol.3 (2) KP Rule for obtaining admission for MBBS (formulated by Sri S N Sardar)

Oct-Dec 2013

1, The sublord of the fourth cusp will be in the star and sub This starlord or the sublord or both should be stationed in Leo, Virgo, Scorpio or Pisces . The sublord of the fourth cusp or its starlord or its sublord should preferably be Sun . Then one gets admission for medicine .

Application of KP Rule in the given case IV CSL Moon in the star of Jup stationed in Scorpio, the hospital sign. This certainly is a positive planetary signature for securing admission. Traditional View ---Ven the ruler of 4H of education posited in 6H of medicines ----Jup , the L6 of medicines from hospital sign Scorpio aspect Mars, the L10 of occupation Importantly, the operating dasha is that of Sat in 8H (surgery) in the star Shathabhikshak (100 physicians ) Based on the above points , I concluded that the native is destined to study medicine only The parents send the girl for repeaters course in a tutorial of a distant district in Jun 2012 in tune with the indication of the prevailing sub period ruler Mer ruler of 3H (change) cum 12H (new environment posited in 7H (goind out and returning ) Actual outcome ! In end of May 2013, girl met me and told that she failed to get a seat in MBBS . I felt guilty since she has relied much on my words and lost her precious one academic year .I rechecked my analysis but arrived at the same conclusion that she is destined to study medicine only . She told me it is practically not possible since admission is over . From the KP year book 2012, I gave the mob number of S N Sardar and asked her to consult him though now it was too late . After some hours, girl rang up and told me S N Sardar is of the same opinion of that of mine that she will go for medicine only . I reiterated that she will go for medicine only and the ensuing Ven subperiod (strong significator of IV, VI & XI ) that is to start on 12 Sep 2013 she will be in Medical college . It was told by her Mother that the girl joined for some degree course in a neighbouring state . On 6 Sep 2013 , the girls dad rang up and told me that few new seats were alloted in a Medical college by the Government and the vacancies are being filled from the entrance exam rank list and the girl secured admission.

44

JASA Vol.3 (2) Oct-Dec 2013 Today (9 Sep 2013 ) morning , the girl rang up Thanked me profusely for the correct prediction and told that she is on her way to the Medical college (Case study No 2) POWER OF THE FOURTH TRIGON Little has been said about the fourth House in the classical literature other than it is the house that denotes happiness ,mother ,vehicles ,extended family ,heart ,immovable property etc,. 4, 8 &12 are trigons. We should remember that the fourth house is half of eighth house and precisely for that reason many signification of the eighth house gets reflected in the forth house like death ,end ,legacy ,etc,. When a planet becomes a stellar significator of {4 & 8 or 4 &12} then the concerned planet during its sub period will cause much hardship to the natives. In the given case native is a reputed music composer .Readers attention is invited to the Jupiter Venus compo in the eleventh house. Jupiter is Sabdhakaraka or causative planet of sound. Venus rules all artistic pursuits and is al so the ruler of the third house that stands for composing or writing .Jupiter is also aspecting the third house .No wonder the native is a music composer as well as an adept in Carnatic music.

MAJOR ACCIDENT IN MER/MER On 5th November 1999 native had a vehicle accident and critical to the extent of being put in the ventilator for 4 days .The near and dear ones were intimated about the critical condition and even the place of cremation was decided .. But God is Great, native survived but for a facial paralysis that too got completely cured with in no time. And he is leading a normal life with his wife and children; actively pursuing his career. Mercury is the ruler of fourth house(vehicles) and it is in the star of Saturn, the ruler of 12th house of fall/hospitalization etc , that in turn is stationed in forth house. In short, there is a strong stellar connection between fourth and twelfth lords. Without the involvement of Mars there is no accident. Mars is aspecting Mercury with its eighth house destructive Hindu aspect.

TransferWhen? A Classical KP Analysis

G. Sadasivan
Mr. Sadasivan, BE, MBA, is a Manager in a Navaratna Oil PSU of India and is an ardent practitioner of KP astrology and 4 Step Theory. He is trained in KP astrology by the illustrious son of KSK, Sri K. Hariharan and was awarded the title Jyotisha Visharath and KP Horaratna. He was also awarded the title of Nakshatira Shiromani by the inventor of the 4 Step Theory, Dr. Sunil Gondhlekar for mastering 4 Step Theory. Email: sadasivan_g@yahoo.com

ackground Note: My colleague Mr Subramanian is working in Coimbatore . His wife is working in Chennai. In Chennai there are lot of vacancies. He wants a transfer to Chennai during DPC(Department of promotional committee) which happens every May of the financial year . Management can accommodate his request . Major question taken into consideration: Will I get transferred to Chennai in this years DPC ? If so when ? Name & Sex of the Querent: Mr. Subramanian , Male. Horary Number:5 (out of 249). Date &Time of Judgment:23-02-2013 (23:01:42Hrs). (IST). Place of Judgment: Calicut Hints: Getting a Transfer If the Cuspal Sublord of 10th be the significator of 3 or 10 or 12, transfer is promised during the joint period of the significators of 3 or 10 or 12. Moon reveals the nature of query Moon is in star of Saturn and sub of Jupiter . Moon is the occupant of 4, owner of 5. Star lord Saturn is the occupant of 7 , owner of 11 and 12 . Sublord Jupiter is the occupant of 2, owner of 9,10 . Moon is aspcted by Saturn . We have seen Saturn . This indicates the worry in him . Moon signifies and/or in connection with the relevant houses i.e. 12 and 10, hence query/urge is genuine. CUSPAL ANALYSIS 10th Cusp (Libra 00-18-39): The sublord of 10th cusp Mars is in star of Jupiter and sub of Saturn. Mars is the occupant of 11, owner of 1 and 8 . Starlord Jupiter is the occupant of 2 owner of 9 and 10 . Sublord Saturn is the occupant of 7, owner of 11 and 12 . 48

JASA 10th CSL Mars signifies 10 and 12

Vol.3 (2)

Oct-Dec 2013

Now the 10th CSL has signified 10 and 12 and hence is it not advisable to shortlist the significators with the ruling planets and say the transfer will happen in May 13 . Certainly not . The answer of mine was a No due to the following reasons 1. 10th CSL Mars is in the sub of a retrograde planet which denies the event .The desire will not get fulfilled . Whenever the main cuspal sublord becomes retrograde, the event will happen after the cuspal sublord becomes direct . If the cuspal sublords star lord is retrograde , then the event is denied .Dr Andrew Dutta has explained clearly in his KP Video course Advanced Level that if the cuspal sublords star lord becomes retrograde, the event is delayed very much and not denied provided the cuspal sublords starlord is a strong significator of the concerned houses .If the cuspal sublords sublord is retrograde , then the event is inordinately delayed and for events like transfer, promotion etc , the answer is a No . 2. 10th CSL Mars is conjunct closely with Mercury which is retrograde 3. The most important concept Cuspal displacement and intercepted signs . Dr Andrew Dutta is a veteran in the subject . He and Mr O.V.N Murthy of Hyderbad have good knowledge on the matter. The 4th cusp has been displaced to the 3rd. 3rd is transfer. 4th is residence .ie No transfer. When 4th gets displaced into the 3rd , the matter related to the 4th cusp gets passed onto the 3rd .Hence transfer is denied . 4. The 12th Cusp is intercepted. The cusp gets affected. There is no change of environment .Transfer is denied . My Opinion: Getting a transfer is not possible.

Actual Fact: During May , the transfer list came . His name not there in the list I thank Dr Andrew Dutta for having given me an opportunity to write the article in JASA Pranaam to Guruji KSK !

Editors Note We congratulate Sri Sadasivan ji for his correct prediction of the event. ackground Note: My cousin Mr Ganesh is married since 4 years . He is worried on the delay of child birth .When I went to Coimbatore during July13, I met him . He asked me when he will have a child .

Major question taken into considerationWill I have a child ? If so when ? Name & Sex of the Querent: Mr. Ganesh Horary Number:71 (out of 249). Date &Time of Judgment:14-07-2013, 17:23:56 Hrs. (IST). Place of Judgment: Coimbatore Hints: Getting a child If the Cuspal Sublord of 11th ( as it was asked by a male) be the significator of 2 or 5 or 11 , child birth is promised during the joint period of the significators of 2 or 5 or 11. Moon reveals the nature of query Moon is in star of Sun and sub of Venus . Planet Moon is the occupant of 2, owner of 1. Starlord Sun is occupant of 12 and owner of 2 . Sublord Venus is the occupant of 1, owner of 4, 11. Moon signifies and/or in connection with the relevant houses i.e. 2 and 11, hence query/urge is genuine.Moon also signifies 4 and 1 and hence he is afraid whether he will become a father . Moon is in dual rasi . He is in a double mind as to whether he will get a child or not . CUSPAL ANALYSIS 11th :The sublord of 11th cusp is Rahu . Rahu is in star of Rahu and sub of Mars .

51

JASA Vol.3 (2) Oct-Dec 2013 Planet : Rahu Rahu is in 4. Rahu is aspected by Jupiter . Jupiter is lord of 6 and 9 in 11th house . Rahu is in the sign of Venus and Rahu will give results of Venus .Venus is lord of 4 and 11 placed in 1. Most importantly,Rahu also will give results of those planets which are in the star of Rahu . This has been explained by Dr Andrew Dutta in his video course on KP Advance Level . Here Mars ,Jupiter and Saturn are in the star of Rahu . Mars is the 5th cuspal sublord with no plantes in its stars .Hence Mars signify 5 strongly . Hence we can see Rahu signifying 4,,6,9,11,5 etc . Star lord Rahu : As explained above . Sublord Mars : Mars is lord of 5 and 10 placed in 11 th house . In KP, Planet<Star<Sub . Sub is stronger always .However Sub cannot give what the star denies . Here though planet and star was neutral sub was positive and hence child birth is promised to the native. Planets signify the houses 2 or 5 or 11 in respect to A. Vol.3 (2)

Oct-Dec 2013

Present Dasha Lord: Sun Sun is a fruitful (common) planet. Sun is in star of Jupiter and sub of Venus . Planet Sun is the occupant of 12, owner of 2 . Starlord Jupiter is occupant of 11 and owner of 6 and 9 . Sublord Venus is occupant of 1, owner of 4,11. Dasha Lord Sun is in connection with 2, 11. Hence, Sun Dasha is taken into consideration. Present Bhukti Lord: Venus upto 19.4.2014 Venus is a fruitful (common) planet. Venus is in star of Mercury and sub of Jupiter . Venus is the occupant of 1, owner of 4, 11. Starlord Mercury is the occupant of 12 and owner of 3 and 12 . Sublord Jupiter is occupant of 11 and owner of 6 and 9. Bhukti Lord Venus signifies 9,11 in. Hence, Venus Bhukti is taken into consideration. I used common sense and took Ketu Antara . If I skip Ketu antara , then next is Moon dasa .Moon is not there as a fruitful planet . Hence I said Sun/Venus/Ketu . otherwise it will be a delayed or denial . But 11th csupal sublord has okayed it and hence I selected the above period . TRANSIT During the DBA of Sun/Venus/Ketu (from 29-3-2014 to 19-4-2014), Sun will transiting in sign of Jupiter/ Star of Mercury/Sub of Sun My Opinion:Will get a child during April 2014 Actual Fact: Asha, wife of Ganesh is pregnant and expected period of delivery is April 14 I thank Dr Andrew Dutta for having given me an opportunity to publish this article in JASA. A Real life case on Property Purchase- Analysis in light of KP system Kausik Roy

The author is from Howrah, West Bengal, working as a telecom professional in a MNC in Kolkata. He learnt Vedic & KP systems of astrology and is practicing Vedic astrology since last few years. The author is also practicing KP astrology and is interested in research on KP astrology. He is also providing online astrology consultancy based on Vedic & KP principles.

Email: kausik.roy@gmail.com , kausikroy2003@yahoo.com

ere I am back with one more real time case of property purchase, this is a case study of one of my maternal uncle. He was indeed searching for a good/reasonable property deal in and around South Kolkata. And after almost 3 yrs of search and many failed attempts, finally he was able to book one resale flat in his name. Now here in this article we will try to understand what planetary combinations helped him to achieve this goal, and obviously in light of Krishnamurti Padhdhati we will justify the event. Birth details 21st Feb 1964, 11.15 AM in Kolkata. His chart is attached below. Analysis=> First as per KP rule we need to find out the successful KP cuspal promise for purchasing a property. In his chart, 4th CSL is SAT ( the planet that causes delay in fulfillment), SAT ( occ 10, own 9,10) is in MAR star(occ 10, own 7,12) and VEN sub(occ 11, own 1,6). And also SAT has no planets in its stars and it is CSL to house 4 and 10, so SAT as a significator can be written as below; SAT 4,10,9,7,12 in a favourable sub of VEN ( in MER star) signifying 1,6,11,2,5,9; So, it can be seen that SAT is actually signifying the required houses for property purchase, i.e. 4,9,12 and via subld VEN 11,5. As we all know, as per KP principles, 4= house of the person, 9= 3rd to 7th, i.e other person loosing his/her residence, 12= investment/expense of the person, 11= success in attempt, 5= incoming gain for other party. So it can be concluded that as, the 4th CSL SAT is signifying 4,9,12,5,11 . Purchase of property is destined for the native, but with much delay, harassment and much effort. This is because of planet SAT as it is its general characteristics. Determining time frame for execution Now, when my uncle was almost fed up with his all attempts going in vain regarding this property purchase, I was one day wondering why this is happening to him. Although he is not such a follower of astrology, still I managed to get his birth details and prepared the KP cuspal chart ( attached below).

55

JASA Vol.3 (2) Oct-Dec 2013 During my study of his chart in Aug 2013, he was running SAT-SAT-JUP, now as we can see from the above analysis that SAT is only weakly signifying the main cusp( 4) for property purchase. So in anyway property purchase will not be completed in SAT-SAT. Next MER antardasha will start from 26th Sep 2012. Now, MER (occ 9, own 2,5) in Mon star(occ 1, own 3,4) in sub of VEN ( 1,6,11,2,5,9), so here we can see that house 4 is strongly signified by MER thru starlord MON. So I concluded that something positive related to property purchase will happen in SAT-MER-MER, and I predicted accordingly that during 26.9.2012 to 13.2.2013, a property purchase is destined for him. Outcome Although he took my prediction very casually then, later I was surprised when he called me after Durga Pujas 2012, i.e. Nov 2012, that he had signed an agreement for one flat and he is going to get it possession by Dec 2012. So then I told him that This is the power of Astrologyespecially Stellar astrology and KP system

Editors Note We congratulate Sri Kaushik ji for his correct prediction of the event. He has upheld the beauty and accuracy of KP astrology for which KP is well known in its traditional and unblemished version as propounded by KSK. All the readers around the world will benefit to read his article.

Timing of Marriage: A 4Step Theory Analysis

G. Sadasivan
Email: sadasivan_g@yahoo.com

ast week, when I came from Office , my mother told me that her relative's son has not got married yet despite being well settled in USA . The subject is 36 years old . Chart of the person is attached. My mother asked me to tell her when he would get married.

DOB : 29/4/1977 POB : OTTAPALAM (PALGHAT DISTRICT,KERALA) TIME : 14:37 I went through the chart . First I applied Rule of Origin to check the birth detail is correct or not Rule of Origin propounded by Dr Andrew Dutta is clearly applicable in this chart where the 1st and 9th coowners in the sign, star and sub are related .

7th cuspal sublord is Venus . Significations of Venus is VENUS : - 8(cuspal) 2-Star-Lord is SAT: 12 6 12(cuspal) 3-Sub-Lord is RAH: 2 (VEN 7 3 10 ) 4-Star-Lord of SubLord is MAR: 7 4 Since 7th Cuspal sublord is signifying 2 and 7 in 3rd and 4th step marriage is promised Now question is when ? Running dasa is Rahu . Signification of Rahu is RAHU* : -2 (VEN 7 3 10 ) 2-Star-Lord is MAR: 7 4 3-Sub-Lord is MER: 9(cuspal) 4-Star-Lord of SubLord is VEN: 7 3 10 8(cuspal) Since Rahu signifies 7 in 4th step, marriage is promised in Rahu dasa . 58

JASA Vol.3 (2) Bhukti is Rahus. Rahu has given the green signal .

Oct-Dec 2013

Now we have to select the anthara . In 4 step theory , DBA Chain is given importance. We have to select an anthara which signifies 11 . ie is seen only in Saturn in second step. Significance of Saturn is SATURN : - 12(cuspal) 2-Star-Lord is MER: 8 11 9(cuspal) (Conj-SUN 8 9(cuspal))(Asp-SAT 12(cuspal)) 3-Sub-Lord is MER: 9(cuspal) 4-Star-Lord of SubLord is VEN: 7 3 10 8(cuspal) Hence marriage is promised during Rahu/Rahu/Sat . ie during 2012 . The next possibility is Rah/Jup/Sat ie during Nov 2014 Let us see the signifcations of Jupiter Jupiter signifies JUPITER* : -9 5 2-Star-Lord is MON: 1 1(cuspal) 3-Sub-Lord is RAH: 2 (VEN 7 3 10 ) 4-Star-Lord of SubLord is MAR: 7 4 My Mother was asking me why the inordinate delay ? On a close scrutiny i observed that 7th cuspal sublord is Venus and Venus signifies VENUS : - 8(cuspal) 2-Star-Lord is SAT: 12 6 12(cuspal) 3-Sub-Lord is RAH: 2 (VEN 7 3 10 ) 4-Star-Lord of SubLord is MAR: 7 4 Please note the close aspect of Saturn on Pluto . Saturn is star lord of Venus . Saturn is there in the second step. My Guruji Shri Sunil Gondhalekhar has reiterated the importance of Pluto . Pluto aspected by Saturn will either deny the marriage or if at all marriage happens, it will end in divorce only . The inordinate delay is due to the aspect of Saturn (7th Cuspal sublords starlord ) on Pluto . Even if marriage happens during Nov 2014, happiness is denied in marital life. I thank Shri Sunil Gondhalekhar, the inventor of 4 step theory for his help and input on my article and Shri Andrew Dutta , a renowned KP astrologer to publish my article in JASA .

JASA and its 15000+ Readers in 100+ countries wish Sri Sadasivan ji BEST OF LUCK for his Future Predictions.

BJP Opponent Strong

The Comparison Table between BJP and Opponent (other than BJP) has been judged keeping in mind the following Golden Rules of KP Astrology, mainly KP Stellar Theory of Starlord versus Sublord. Planet is the source of a result, Constellation is the nature of the result and Sub is the final deciding factor of a result. If Starlord is benefic and Sublord is also benefic, then the native enjoys. If Starlord is malefic and Sublord is also malefic, then the native suffers. If Starlord is benefic and Sublord is malefic, then apparently it may seem that the event is going to take place, but eventually it will hold. If Starlord is malefic and Sublord is benefic, then after some obstacles or hindrances, the event will take place.

Conclusion: BJP will win Rajasthan State Assembly Election 2013. Pranaam to Lord Ganesh and Guruji KSK! Pranaam to my Guruji Sri P. Roychaudhary!

The Comparison Table between Congress and Opponent (other than Congress) has been judged keeping in mind the following Golden Rules of KP Astrology, mainly KP Stellar Theory of Starlord versus Sublord.

Conclusion: Congress Party will not win Delhi State Assembly Election 2013. Pranaam to Lord Ganesh and Guruji KSK! Pranaam to my Guruji Sri P. Roychaudhary!

......continue from previous issue... In my earlier articles you would have observed that if the Kalamsa lord obtains suitable Gunas and also gets RRR or SSS Gunas then the results of that bhava flourishes and bestows best results at appropriate time. In this article we will analyse what happens when 7th bhava obtains TTT guna and its influence on the natives marital life.

JASA Analysis:

Vol.3 (2)

Oct-Dec 2013

The 7th lord Moon is in the star of Sun and in the Kalamsa /Sub of Jupiter. The Kalamsa/Sub Lords Jupiter is in the star of Rahu and Rahu has become Jeeva planet. Jeeva planet Rahu is in the star of Jupiter and hence Jupiter has become Sareera. So Kalamsa Lords Jeeva and Sareera Planets are Rahu and Jupiter. Kalamsa/sub Lord Jupiter is in the star of Swati 2nd pada and gets the Guna of TTT (please refer Practical Stellar Astrology). Kalamsa/sub lord Jupiter is not having any digbala. The 7th lord Rajasic planet Moon through Kalamsa lord obtained Thamasic, Thamasic and Thamasic Guna. As per Guruji Meena2, if a bhava obtains unsuitable Guna then that bhava may not give desired or favourable results. Here Moon Rajasic planet obtained unsuitable Thamasic guna. The native got married during Feb. 2007 and that time she was running Rahu Dasa Jupiter Bukthi and Rahu Anthara(10-2-07 to 3-4-07)-event - marriage happened in the Dasa/Anthara of Kalamsa lord Jupiters Jeeva planet Rahu and bukthi of Sareera planet Jupiter. Since she was not sati sfied with the marital life, mutual divorce had taken place on first week of Nov07, during the Dasa of Rahu, Bukthi of Saturn and Anthara of Mercury 11-8-07 to 24-1-08. At the time of divorce Dasa Lord Rahu is transiting in Sadabisha 1st pada(Thamasic nakshatra),Bukthi lord Saturn is transiting in Magha 4th pada(Thamasic Nakshatra) and Anthara lord Mercury is transiting in Chitha 4th pada(Thamasic) .Note here that all the planets are transiting in Thamasic guna nakshatra, the Gunas obtained by the kalamsa/sub lord Jupiter (TTT). Undesirable Guna ended up in divorce. Divorce Date Chart

Second Marriage: She got married again during fourth week of October 2009. At the time of marriage, she was running Rahu Dasa ,Saturn Bukthi and Jupiter Anthara. Dasa Lord Rahu is the Jeeva planet and Anthara Lord Jupiter is the Sareera planet of Kalamsa/Sub Lord Jupiter. Jeeva planet Rahu and Sareera planet Jupiter are transiting in Capricorn, the sign of Thamasic. We can note here that even at the time of marriage Thamasic Guna connections have come to Jeeva Sareera planets and also to Dasa Lord and Anthara Lord.

82

JASA Second Marriage Chart:

Vol.3 (2)

Oct-Dec 2013

At present, the native is running Rahu Dasa, Ketu Bukthi and Saturn/ Mercury Anthara. We can observe that in the present transit, the Dasa Lord Rahu is in Swati Nakshatra (Thamasic) and Bukthi Lord Ketu is transiting in Aries (Thamasic Sign) and Anthara Lord Saturn is transiting in Swati Nakshatra (Thamasic). Misunderstanding between the couple started which lead to unhappiness in marital life. Here, the 7th Kalamsa Lord Jupiters Guna TTT had been influencing the natives unhappiness in her marital life. She may experience a similar state of unhappiness whenever Dasa, Bukthi Anthara Lord connects with Thamasic Guna during transit. Conclusion: Kalamsa Lords Jeeva and Sareera planet and Gunas play a vital role in deciding the strength and favorable and unfavourable results of a Bhava and also timing of events. We had earlier seen that SSS and RRR had given good results to a Bhava. Here, we observe that TTT, the Guna obtained by the seventh Kalamsa Lord is giving unhappiness and dissatisfaction in marital life. JASA The chart is being analysed as follows: The co-ordinates for judgment

Vol. 3 (2)

Oct-Dec 2013

In a query relating to the retention of house in principle, the 4th house gets most pertinent. In order to acquire house for use, the significator of 2-4-11th houses get important. While, the significator of 4th house should connect to the 11th house (realizing ambitions), it should get connected to Lagna as well so that the benefit of the house goes to the individual concerned. The dasha-bhukti of the planets in line with the significators of 2-4-11th houses may materialize the desire of retaining the house. In a scenario of analyzing the prospects of retaining the house by way of LSP principles, the Punya LSP (P-LSP) indicates the punya that the native has towards realizing the objective. While, the aspirations of the desire of retaining the house are indicated by the Asha LSP (A-LSP), the Karya Siddhi LSP (KS-LSP) may be examined to study the net result of outcome of the query related to retaining the house. It may be noted that there is no specific LSP towards the property matters, hence this horary chart is dealt with the general norms of analyzing with Punya, Asha and Karya-siddhi LSPs. Analysis by conventional KP norms 1. Study Moon Moon indicates the state of the mind. Moon is the 3rd lord and thus shows the trouble of mind set for vacating the house (12th from 4th house). Moon placed in 10th house does indicate the issue of house connected with profession (10H). Further, Moon in the star of retro-Saturn as lord of 9th house placed in 5th house does indicate the emotional attachment that the native has with the house as he has lived in this house for over 20 years. Taking the above clue in consideration, the query was considered OK to proceed ahead for further examination. 2. Assess Lagna Lagna represents the individual in light of the desire of retaining the house. Note that Venus is the sub-lord of the Lagna. Though Venus does not have positional status, its placement in Lagna itself does indicate some sort of ego connected with the query and the native would not mind turning any stone to meet his ends. At the stellar level, Venus is placed in the star of Mars placed in conjunction with Sun in 12th house. Readers may note that the 12th house here may indicate the loss of desire, but may also note that 12th house does bring about the luck of the house and by being conjunct with the Sun it may bring luck through the Govt channel, which is the case here. Looking further, Venus falls in the sub of Sun which is 4th lord and thus the drive of Venus may activate the Sun to bring about the luck from Govt in approving the house for natives possession. Thus, Lagna does have good support of the query in mind for retention of the house. 3. Look to the 4th house This is the house of property matters and has importance in this query. 86

JASA Vol. 3 (2) Oct-Dec 2013 th 4 cuspal sub-lord is Mercury which has positional status and it strongly gets placed in its own sign in Lagna. This is a very positive placement and does indicate a possible positive outcome of the query supporting the native (Lagna). At the stellar level, Mercury falls in the star of Rahu placed in 6th house and in the sub of Jupiter placed in Lagna. Here again, the balls turns in favor of the native to have the desire fulfilled and in turn lagna gets the boost again. Thus, the Lagna (Native and his influence in the Govt circle) has the upper hand in making his ambitions fulfilled. 4. Look to the 11th house 11th house is vacant and is lorded by Jupiter. Jupiter has Rahu in its star, thus Rahu rules the results of Jupiter and the 11th house. On a quick glance, Rahu falls in the star and sub of Jupiter with Jupiter strongly lording the 11th house and placed in Lagna giving dignity and fulfillment of the native desire of retaining house. Note that Rahu gets associated with retro Saturn in the same sign and thus gets blemished with the delay tactics of Saturn. Thus, Rahu may not be in a position to get the work straightway and may delay the matter to the frustration of the native. Thus, 11th house does indicate the fulfillment of desire conclusively. 5. Look to timing issue The timing was an important aspect of this prashna, as the time frame of September-2013 was the deadline of the notice to vacate the house a. The first step is to calculate significators of 2-4-11th houses 2nd House 2nd House is vacant and is lorded by Mercury, thus Mercury is the lone Significator of 2nd house as Mercury does not have any planet in its star. 4th house 4th house is vacant and is lorded by Sun. Mars is placed in the star of Sun, thus the significators of 4th house are Sun and Mars. 11th house 11th house is vacant and is lorded by Jupiter. Jupiter has Rahu placed in its star. Thus, Jupiter and Rahu are the significators of 11th house. Note that Rahu conjuncts with Saturn; is aspected by Jupiter; placed in the house owned by Venus and is placed in the star of Jupiter. Thus Rahu signifies Saturn, Jupiter and Venus. Totaling the above, the 11th house signifies Jupiter, Rahu, Saturn and Venus. Thus, the significators of 2-4-11th houses are Sun, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and Rahu. Planets out of these significators may realize the objective in favor.

b. The second step is to look at the spread of dasha-bhukti sequence. 87

JASA

Vol. 3 (2)

Oct-Dec 2013

Within the Maha-dasha of Saturn and Antar-dasha of Mercury, the Pratyantara dasha (PD) spreads are as follows. o Saturn-Mercury-Venus till 06-06-2013 o Saturn-Mercury-Sun from 06-06-2013 to 25-07-2013 o Saturn-Mercury-Moon from 25-07-2013 to 16-10-2013

c. Conclusion Looking to the above, it was inferred that Venus PD may not be fruitful as its influence falls on the 12th house. The first opportunity of the Sun PD may cause the event to fructify as Sun is the 4th lord strongly placed in Lagna. The 2nd opportunity in Moon PD may not be overlooked. The PD of Sun and Moon fall well within the stipulated time frame of the notice period. While, Moon is not the significator of 2-4-11th houses, it may be noticed that Moon falls in the star of Saturn and Sub of Mercury; both Saturn and Mercury being the significators. Thus, Moon is also the strong contender to confer the results. Since,11th sub-lord Rahu is conjunct with Retro-Saturn, the first opportunity in the Sun PD may not bring about the results and Moon PD could give the desired results. Thus, more hopes rested on Moon PD and favorable results were expected in SaturnMercury-Moon during 25-07-2013 to 16-10-2013.

Analysis by LSP principles Refer my article in the inaugural issue of JASA for the concept and usage of LSPs. 1. Calculate Punya LSP (P-LSP) to assess the luck Due to the prashna assessment in day hours, the Punya LSP is calculated by the formula (Moon-Sun + Lagna). Additional 30deg is not required to be added as the Lagna falls between Sun to Moon. By the manipulation of the longitudes, the Punya LSP falls in Pisces 08-37-38 (d-m-s) lorded by Sign lord Jupiter, Star lord Saturn, Sub-lord Venus and Sub-sub lord Moon. Note as follows. a. Punya LSP falls in the 10th house, which is Kendra to the Lagna, thus promotes the query in principle, as all Kendra houses support Lagna. b. Venus falls in the sub of Sun which is 4th lord. Thus, there seems an element of luck in the matters of the residence that is required to be retained. Thus, the native does carry the luck and punya for availing the fructification of desire. 2. Calculate Asha LSP (A-LSP) to check the desire quotient Due to the prashna assessment in day hours, the Asha LSP is calculated by the formula (Saturn -Mars + Lagna). There is no need of adding additional 30deg, as the Lagna falls between Mars to Saturn. By the manipulation of the longitudes, the Asha LSP falls in Libra 24-57-44 (d-m-s) lorded by Sign lord Venus, Star lord Jupiter, Sub lord Mercury and Sub-sub lord Rahu. 88

JASA Note as follows.

Vol. 3 (2)

Oct-Dec 2013

c. Asha LSP falls in the 6th house, thus the native is set to win against the notice of vacating the house. d. Sub-lord of Asha LSP is Mercury. As indicated earlier, Mercury is positionally very strong and its placement in Lagna supports the native for attaining his desires. This LSP may give a winning edge to the native against the vacation order.

3. Calculate Karya-Siddhi LSP (KS-LSP) that shows the desire fructification Due to the prashna assessment in day hours, the Karya-Siddhi LSP is calculated by the formula (Saturn - Sun + lord of Sun sign). Since, lord of Sun sign is Venus, the formula translates to (Saturn Sun + Venus). There is no need of adding additional 30deg, as Venus falls between Sun to Saturn. By the manipulation of the longitudes, the Karya-Siddhi LSP falls in Libra 28-58-51 (d-m-s) lorded by Sign lord Venus, Star lord Jupiter, Sub lord Sun and Sub-sub lord Rahu. Note as follows. a. Karya-Siddhi LSP falls in 6th house that again gives winning edge against the vacation order of the Govt deptt. b. Sun is the sub-lord of Karya-Siddhi LSP and as indicated in the earlier paras, it bears all the positive traits for the acquisition of the objective of retaining the house, principally because it is the 4th lord. c. Mars falls in the star of Sun, thus Mars also gets very helpful for the native and all the traits of Mars (Courage, persistence and younger brother etc) may suit the native to meet his gains. Both Sun and Mars are the strong significators of 4th house. d. Note that the Sub-lord Sun falls in the sub of Mercury which is the sub-lord of A-LSP, thus the desire and Karya siddhi work unilaterally to meet the positive outcome.

Final Conclusion In view of the above analysis, I was absolutely sure that the native would retain his residence though there could be enough delays (delay anticipated due to Saturn-R influencing 11th sub-lord Rahu). Thus, it was indicated to the native that he would get the requisite approval to retain the house towards the end of September-2013 in Saturn-Merc-Moon period. From LSP analysis, it was inferred that there was sufficient luck for the positive outcome and the chances of the positive outcome were very high. The PD of Sun was a common factor between the convention analysis and the analysis through LSPs, thus the favors from Sun (Govt channel) were anticipated. He was also communicated, that his fighting spirit (Mars) may pay him positively. This was communicated to my friend and obviously, he was in cheers and in better hopes.

JASA Facts of the case

Vol. 3 (2)

Oct-Dec 2013

A few days before writing this article towards the end of September-2013, I got the brief outcome as follows. This prompted me to write an article o this case. 1. The file that contained the application of his renewal was misplaced in the ministers office and that delayed the matter. 2. He did not give up and got the duplicate file built up again and pursued its movement at each step. He even persuaded his plea to the Ministers office and requested for a kind favor. 3. To his great surprise, his application was approved by the minister taking into consideration his outstanding performance in the department over years. The approval was accorded on Friday, Sep 20, 2013. Acknowledgement I conclude herewith with my sincere thanks to Prof. Krishnamurthy, who has devised a pioneering predictive model in astrology, which deserves sincere appreciation. I also thank our great Seers for their wisdom who gave us the knowledge of Sahams (LSP) which when applied in KP context gives us a sound second opinion to augment the findings by the conventional styled KP. Readers may appreciate that the LSPs are potent to cast independent opinion accurately and if read in consonance with the conventional analysis by KP norms, it may supplement the findings to reach decisive results.

have made some sort of research to find rules for mundane prediction for any earthquake. I have tested 100 A-A rated charts with the following rules. http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/world/historical.php

These rules are also good for any natural disaster in the country, research is still going on and time will indicate if rules must be modified . With these rules I have made some correct predictions for my country Italy using Horary chart and also the Italian Republica chart so I decided to introduce for JASA readers my research. In the second part I will give all the data of my research and how to use the national chart to predict any natural disaster depending on country with a table of occurrence of earthquake by magnitude of Richter scale. Introduction to rules For any earthquake or natural disaster : 1st house signify : Condition of country,4th house signify: Earthquakes and 8th house signify: natural disasters, calamity . Rule-1: If the sub of the 1st signify: 4: (earthquake),8:(disasters, calamity ) ,12:( unseen danger ) with Maraka& Badhakathere could be an earthquake ( natural disaster) in the country. . Rule-2: If the sub lord of the 4th (earthquake) be the significator of 8 (natural disaster),12 (loss) & 3 (loss of property) chance of earthquakes disaster during the joint period of the significators of 3,8,12. Rule-3:) If the sub lord of the 8th ( natural disaster) be the significator of 8 ( natural disaster ), 12 ( loss) ,& 3 ( loss of property ) chance of earthquakes disaster during the joint period of the significator of 3,8,12. So to predict any earthquake( natural disaster ) first condition is to look at 1st sub lord (condition of country) if signify 4,8,or,12 together with Maraka Badhaka there could be a great chance for any natural disaster in the country, if signify only Maraka Badhaka there could be a little chance and only 4,8,12 the danger is very less. Second condition is all 3 rules must agree for any earthquake or natural disaster and 92

JASA Vol. 3 (2) the last condition is D.B.A must agree with the event. For any death in earthquakes or natural disaster: 1st sub lord must signify both Maraka& Badhaka planets.

Rule- If the sub lord of the 4th) or 8th cups signify 5: (2nd (maraca) from 4th ),10: (7th (maraca) from 4th ), 3: (12th (mosksha) from 4th) and Badhaka the people of the country will die in earthquake disaster during the joint period of the signficators of 3,5,10 and badhaka. To select right DBAS periods the separative planets Sun, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu are the most strong . With this in mind I will illustrate with some good cases.

The Lunar Constellations (Part 9): Ashlesha
Dr. E.S. Neelakantan
Dr. E. S. Neelakantan was born on 5th August 1967 in Kannimangalam Village, Palakkad District , Kerala. He completed his graduation from Loyala College In Statistics with distinction in 1987. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992. He is also a qualified Information Systems Auditor since 2004. He developed interest in Astrology by reading the works of Dr. B. V. Raman . He learnt Astrology in a formal way under Prof. K. V. Seshadrinatha Sastri , a renowned authority on Jyothisa and Ayurveda. For his thesis on Medical Astrology, he was awarded Ph.d. , by Sri Chandrasekarendra University, Kancheepuram, which is recognized as a Deemed University in 2005. He is a practising Chartered Accountant in Chennai since 1993. He is at present a regular contributor to four of the leading journals on Astrology in India viz, Express Star Teller, Modern Astrology , Astrological eMagazine and JASA. esneelakantan@gmail.com

he cluster of 27 stars could be divided into three groups of nine each. The first group starts from Ashwini and ends with Ashlesha. In this article we take up for discussion, Ashlesha which is the last star in the first group and its significations. The star occupies the fag end of the sign Cancer. In navamsa , this star can get connected to only two planets viz Jupiter and Saturn. Hence scholars on Astrology opine that a person born in this star will have lots of trials and tribulations in their early part of their life while the fag end will produce happiness. Since Ashlesha happens to be the last star in the first group and Makha happens to be the first star in the second group, a person born in the junction point between these two stars comes under a dosha technically called as gandandha. They could either undergo hardships or even be subjected to death at a very early stage . It is believed that King Ravana , the demon- king of Ceylon , destroyed himself and his entire clan due to his birth in the gandandha time presiding over Revati-Ashwini junction point. It is suggested by the textbooks on Dharma Sastras that in order to neutralize the evil attributable to the gandandha, one should perform Ashlesha Nakshatra Janana Shanthi, which is a remedial measure prescribed by textbooks . Shanti Ratnakaram not only makes a mention of this rite but also gives explanations about its procedure .Once this ritual is performed and the evil neutralized , a person born in gandandha lives a long life and becomes wealthy.A Person born in the first quarter of Ashlesha is famous; one born in the 2nd quarter is wealthy; Person born in the 3rd quarter of Ashlesha loses his mother while the one born in the last quarter loses his father. There is a misconception mainly in southern parts of India that a girl born in Ashlesha will prove fatal to her mother -in law. I have personally come across cases where boys and girls otherwise eligible for marriage get rejected on this count. Longevity, as we all know is determined by the planetary disposition in ones own chart. An alien chart cannot influence ones chart. If the converse were to be true, is there any need to do analysis of longevity from planets in ones chart? Paramacharya , the sage of Kanchi , once exhorted astrologers to issue a message saying that nobody should attach any taboo to Ashlesha , Moola, Vishaka and Jyeshta. His message should be understood in the context of many eligible brides and grooms facing disappointment in matrimonial matters due to flimsy grounds. According to Varahamihira, a person born in Ashlesha happens to be a secret sinner , is reckless in food habits ,does harm to public property and indulges in evil deeds.Serpents move in crooked fashion. Likewise a person born in Ashlesha Star is a crook. That person is given to anger and revenge. That 96

JASA Vol. 3 (2) Oct-Dec 2013 person happens to find delight in sufferings of others . Some scholars hold the view that a person born in Ashlesha shares his wealth with others . Ashlesha borns help people in distress. Please note that all these are generic traits which undergo modifications based on Moons placement and influence of the other planets.Astrologers should keep these rules at the back of their mind and issue predictions only after due weightage is given to all planetary influences. If a person is born in Ashlesha star and the planetary positions also indicate that the person will only be a crook then unhesitatingly one can conclude that the person is a crook. On the other hand if planetary positions appear favourable and Moon is under the influence of Jupiter then the evil attributable to Ashlesha star stands neutralized. Astrology is a science which makes sense only if we consider all rules and their exceptions in totality. According to Brihat Samhita one born in the first quarter of Ashlesha has obstacles to progeny . One born in the second quarter will live on hard work. One born in the third quarter will tend to fall sick while one born in the last quarter will become poor though born in affluence. In matters such as Mantra and Tantra, Ashlesha is beneficial. In overcoming enemies, casting spells, and producing enmity between friends, this star is helpful. Ashlesha borns seldom keep up their word. Behind the scenes, they work to destroy their foes. . They are untrustworthy. Money lent on Ashlesha will not come back . Tonsure in Ashlesha brings physical grief. Wearing new clothes in Ashlesha brings disease. Jupiter in Ashlesha on Thursday forms a good yoga to commence house construction . Ashelesha is a good star to seek escaped prisoners. It is a good star for movement of cattle. A disease which commences on Ashlesha could prove fatal. Surgeryoral, dental or cosmetic are favoured by Ashlesha . This star particularly favours treatment of Ascites. Ashlesha is an unfavourable star for commencing journey especially for those born with their natal Moon in Pisces .Journey in the forenoon is to be avoided in Ashelsha Star. Troop Movements are favoured by Ashlesha Star. On Ashlesha star a rite called Ashlesha bali is performed in the famous Kukke Subrahmanya temple in Karnataka to neutralize Sarpa Dosha. Sarpa Dosha also known as Naga dosha. It has acquired lot of significance in Hindu Astrology as it is said to be caused due to curse of Serpents. Some of the major reasons that are attributed to be cause for Sarpa dosha are (a) killing of snakes or its off-springs or its eggs, (b) abusing snakes ,(c) digging or dismantling of a snake pit either in recent times or in previous births(d) desecration of a place of worship of serpents.I believe that Sarpa Dosha could also refer to sins ,which in essence, constitute a moral violation, tantamount to killing of a snake. Snake god is the presiding deity of Ashlesha. Doing harm to snakes is considered a major sin according to scriptures. Serpents are fit to be worshipped. Snake pits are protected in our country by installing naga idols and worshipping them. In many temples one can find women offering milk and eggs to snake pits. I feel these concepts have an ecological angle too.We know rats can damage crops and can become a source of menace to the world.Snakes feed on rats and therefore play an important role in maintaining ecological balance.Mongoose, which is an enemy of snakes keeps snake population in check.Likewise we have so many features in Nature to maintain the ecological balance. Our Rishis understood these concepts well and in order to protect snakes gave it spiritual significance and helped Man live in communion with Nature. Affliction due to Sarpa Dosha emanates mainly from Rahu ,the malefic planet who is known as Sarpa Graha. Astrologically several interpretations are given for Sarpa Dosha; They are as follows:-

1. Placement of Rahu in Lagna, 2nd, 5th, 7th, or 8th house; 2. Placement of malefic planets (Rahu, Ketu, Mars, Saturn and Sun) in the quadrants (1, 4, 7 and 10)

97

JASA Vol. 3 (2) Oct-Dec 2013 th 3.Affliction to the 5th house (Putra Bhaava/Poorva Punya Sthaana) when 5 house is occupied by Rahu and associated with or aspected by Mars 4. 5th house being a sign of Mars (Aries/Scorpio) is occupied by Rahu 5. 5th lord in conjunction with Rahu and Saturn in 5th house aspected by or associated with Moon . 6.Weak Jupiter associated with Mars , Rahu in Lagna and 5th lord in a dustana (6, 8 and 12th house) . 7. 5th house being a sign of Mars is occupied by Rahu and associated with Mercury. 8.Relationship of Rahu/Kethu with 5th house (Puthra bhaava). 9.Rahu in Badhaka Sthana. 10.Jupiter in 6,8, or 12 in relationship with a Badhaka lord. 11.Rahu in Kendra or dustana associated with a Badhaka lord or Badhaka house. 12.Rahu with Gulika or in 5,7,9 from Gulika. 13.Mars and Saturn in quadrant from Rahu. 14.Rahu or Ketu in Badhaka sign or in 4,7,6,8 or 12. Note: Sarpa Yoga should not be confused with Kaala Sarpa Dosha(Yoga which is formed by the placement of all the planets including lagna within the axis of Rahu and Kethu). If Rahu is in Aries and Ketu is in Libra all planets should be in Taurus to Virgo.Rahu moves in counter clockwise direction. After Aries Rahu will move to Pisces.Rahu is the head and Ketu is the tail.In a figurative sense Kala Sarpa Dosha is formed when all planets are placed in the belly of the snake. Effects of Sarpa dosha are lack of progeny or loss of progeny, delay and obstacles to progeny , obstacles to marriage, lack of prosperity or progress in life, chronic ill-health, skin diseases, accidents, total dissatisfaction and disillusionment in personal life. Time tested remedy for Sarpa Dosha (Naaga Dosha) is performance of Sarpa Shanti viz., Sarpa Samskaara with Aslesha Bali and Naaga Devatha Pratishta at Kukke Subramanya temple in South Kanara District of Karnataka state. Nagadevatha Pratishta can also be performed at any of the sacred Naga/Subramanya Kshethras .They are as follows:1.Ghaati Subramanya Kshethra (near Doddaballapura in Karnataka State) where Lord Subramanya is in the form of a snake (where He received blessings from Lord Naarasimha). 2.Kudupu (near Mangalore) :- Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy temple is a very ancient temple believed to be in existence since Krita Yuga days. 3.Sarpa Shanti at Trayambakeshwar (Naasik) temple; 4.Rahu-Kethu pooja along with Rudraabhishekam to Lord Shiva at Sri Kaalahasthi temple, near Tirupati In Andhra Pradesh. 98

JASA Vol. 3 (2) Oct-Dec 2013 5.Rudraabhishekam/Sarpadosha nivaarana pooja at Kapila Theertham temple on the way to Tirumala Hills; 6.Mahanyaasa Poorvaka Ekaadasavaara Rudraabhishekam with Sarpa Sooktham. 7. Those who cannot afford to perform Sarpa Shanti as said above due to economic reasons can resort to a cost effective remedy. Worship Nagadevatha by performing abhishekam with milk on Naga Devatha idol installed under the shade of an Aswatta Vruksha (Banyan/Peepal Tree) at any temple for a period of one Mandala (41 days) without break and perform seven rounds pradakshina (circumambulations) around the Naga idol and the Banyan tree reciting Sri Subramanya/Naaga Devatha slokas. This should be performed in the morning as early as possible. A portion of the milk should also be poured at the roots of the tree. Commencement of this austerity should be made preferably on a Tuesday or a Sunday. On completion, visit any Lord Subramanya temple; perform Ksheeraabhishekam( Milk offering) and donate one pair of silver Naga Prathima ( snake idol in silver)to a deserving person (preferably a Vedic Pundit) along with 1 kg of blackgram and horse Gram along with fees(dakshina). While performing this austerity one should take only Satwic food and observe celibacy. There are two distinct rituals performed in reverence to the snake. They are, Ashlesha Bali and Nagamandala. Nagamandala depicts the divine union of male and female snakes. It is generally performed by two priests. The first priest, called as patri inhales the areca flower (Supari Phool) and becomes the male snake. The second priest, called as Nagakannika or the female snake dances and sings around an elaborate serpent design drawn with natural colours on the sacred ground. The ritual is supplemented by playing an hour glass shaped instrument called as Dakke. The drawings in five different colours on the sacred ground are white (white mud), red (mix of lime powder and turmeric powder), green (green leaves powder), yellow (turmeric powder) and black (roasted and powdered paddy husk). Ashlesha Bali is similar nature to the funeral rites performed in Hindu tradition. Lord Subramanya is known as the protector from Kaalasarpa dosha ,Sarpa Dosha and Kuja dosha. Aslesha Bali puja is performed on Aslesha nakshatra in each month. It is believed that this puja , if performed on stars ,other than Ashlesha, yields no benefits. Shravana masa, Karthika masa, and Margashira masa are the most auspicious months to perform Aslesha bali puja.

Astrology is the first, oldest and only science bequeathed by the creator Brahma, through the great Sages Narada, Augasthya, Parasara etc., as a boon to mankind for predicting past and future events in a mans life. This enables a man be prepared for any bad/good eventualists psychologically and be prepared to face/enjoy them. Originally astrology used for fixing auspicious time for performance of Vratas/Yagnas and subsequently for forecasting and timing of event. In ancient times the astrology was taught and spread in Guru Parampara method from generation to generation orally by getting by-hearted Sanskrit Slokas. The first book written on Astrology is Bruhat Parasara Hora Sastra by great Maharshi Parasara in 3000 BC. Bruhat Jataka by Varaha Mihira of Vikramaditya period (500 AD) is next important work in Astrology. It is widely believed that Astrology is the boon given by us to the world. The first book in Astrology was written by Prof.B.Suryanarayana Rao grandfather of Dr.B.V.Raman, in English titled Compendium of Astrology in 19th century. Astrology word derived from Greek Astro-a star & Logos- reason/logic. It is also known in Sanskrit as Jyothisha/ Hora Sastra meaning the light i.e., direction in dark/Science of time respectively. Various definitions for Astrology are - i. It is the science of Symbology, ii. Astrology is the language of stars. Planetary vibrations act on human beings and influence the feelings, sensations and attitudes of the person -Lellywn George, iii. Dante declared Astrology as the highest, the noblest, and lastly, iv .Prof.S.Krishnamurthy-inventor of KP system saysAstrology offers us help and hope in a manner unobtainable by any other method. It is scientific from the time of ancients to the day, but its use cannot be demonstrated by testtube methods. Planetary force is all about us hidden from our sight and produces effects which are decisive. The great scientist Sir Isaac Newton said that he wanted to criticise Astrology and studying it since 20 years and become strong supporter of astrology. Kepler, 102

JASA Vol. 3 (2) Oct-Dec 2013 Beacon, Pythagoras and Democrats have become Masters in astrology. Astrology has strong bondage with astronomy, a science dealing with the planets movements, velocity, and periodicity, hence it is a science. Further it has connections with Philosophy, logic and psychology sciences. Lelwyn George says- Mathematically, astrology is a science, and therefore if you have made no mistake in your horoscopical calculations the results obtained will agree in a very astonishing manner with the facts as you know them. The casting of horoscopes, in India are done with the help of Panchangas and Ephemeris and the latter one is used world-wide for Western Astrology also and presently soft-ware is available for casting instantly. The birth time is most important and utmost accuracy is required for effective predictions. Another important aspect effecting adversely predictions in astrology is Ayanamsa differences between modern astrologers which is effecting and if any concurrence arrived on this vexed subject the astrology gets boost, confidence and encouragement from the public. Further there is no patronage, encouragement and support from the government by aid of funds and including in academic curriculum at the university level. Presently some action is being taken on these lines. In Olden Days the royal patronage, honour and respect for astrology was accorded by the rulers and after our ancestor Indian Sages Chinese, Greeks, Chaldeans and Egyptians patronized and developed. Unless astrological knowledge was possessed one could not become emperor in olden Chinese kingdom. Whatever method is studied whilst learning astrology the basic characteristics of- Planets (Graha), Rasis and Bhava Tatwas i.e., characteristics, are the same and more control on these knowledge the more effective will be the analysis/predictions of the astrology. There are various systems of AstrologyParasara (Traditional), Gemini, Tajaka, Nadi (Brughu and Dhruva/Satya), Krishna Murthy Paddhathi (KP System) and Western. Casting of Horoscope: This is done with the help of Panchanga in olden days and in modern times by using Lahiris Table of Ascendants and Lahiri Ephemeris Parasara charts are being cast and for KP Chart Raphael Tables of Ascendants, Astrological Tables for all(Ready Reckoner) and KP Ephemeris of the required year are used. However, now a days various soft wares are available for instant casting of horoscopes thus leading to ignorance of knowledge in casting. But its applicability and use is not deniable. The coincidence of Ayanamsa i.e., Precision of equinoxes when Sayana & Nirayana system had the same in the past which is varying to Astrologer to Astrologer, for KP and N.C.Lahiri they are 291 & 285 AD respectively. The value of Ayanamsa variation per year is that of Newcomb i.e., 50.2399475 was considered by Prof. KSK for his KP Chart casting. In KP Chart Rasi and Bhava are not synonymous as in Parasara. Here Bhava is known as Cusp and it may start anywhere in a rasi and extend to another rasi. At times there will be two or three cusps in a rasi as latitude is nearing 60o in that case there will be no cusp in a rasi. The cusp range will not be 30o and it may be approximate or more and no fixed one. Cusp/Bhava in KP means it is the border between two succeeding bhavas, one ending and the next bhava commencing. The system followed in House division is Porphyrys/Sripathy system. Prof.K.S.Krishna Murthy (KSK) whose full name is Kuthur Subbarayaiyer Krishnamurthi, the inventor/discoverer of this astrological system. It is unique, scientific, part of Vedic astrology and mathematical study and evolution without short cuts; after great and 103

JASA Vol. 3 (2) Oct-Dec 2013 considerable period of struggle in modern era and he is known as Aadhunik Varamihira. The predictions given will be the same for any astrologer with the same horoscope as well timing of the event which is simple, accurate and scientific. i) History: KSK birth particulars are DOB: Sunday1-11-1908, TOB: 12.11pm and POB:

Thiruvariyaru (10o N15, 79o-15) Sravana Nakshathra (Kanya rasi) and Makara Lagna and Date of expiry were at 2 am on 30-3-1972. After education from St.Joseph College, Tiruchirapalli entered into service at the King Institute, Guindy, Chennai in Public Health Dept., Tamilnadu on 14-7-1927. He had fascination, dedication eagerness and sincerity for the study of Astrology and studied both Parasara and Western systems from Jul27 from 1934. He critically analysed for failure of predictions as well as timing of events and caused dissatisfaction on the results of Astrology, during 1934-46. From 1939 with two assistants carried out research and developed the concept of Sub-lord Theory basing on Satya Nadi finally in 1951. He received Uchchistha Maha Ganapathi through Jagadguru and consequently KSK attained his goal. He got great inspiration and urge to teach and propagate KP system to eager students, who need not become professional astrologers for earning sake; till 1961. He retired from service voluntarily on19-91961. From 20-3-1963 Astrology & Athristha, KP Ephemeris for the years 1911-1970 and 6 KP Readers were published and Prof. KSK was awarded 2 titles- a) Jyothish Marthand and b) Sothida Mannan for his astrological yeoman services. ii) System: KP system invented by KSK is only Parasara modified to the present modern period applying certain aspects of Western Astrology, like- cusps, Fortuna and Western aspects; thereby one could be able to give predictions and timing of event accurately. Apart from taking the Western concepts, as stated above, KSK discovered Sub-lord, Ruling planets, Significators Table, special role to the nodes and Horary No. 1-249 chart for answering the question astrology. There are no sub-divisional charts, including Navamsa and only birth chart is available for analysis purpose and Dasa considered only Vimsothari/Udu of 120 years duration for timing of the event. He took the concept of Dhruva Nadi which was the basis for Meenas-1 & 2 (who developed Stellar Astrology) for evolution of Sub-lord. a. Dhruva Naadi (Meenas) concept: A zodiac is divided into 12 rasis of 360o and therefore each rasi is 30o, consisting of 9 parts/Padas each part being 3os20 constituting 21/4 stars in each rasi. Thus a rasi was divided into 2 stars and one pada, as each star has 4 padas. Each star has lord and lord of each star is known as Star Lord. This Predictive Stellar Astrology was developed in 1936, by Late R.Gopala Krishna Rao and NV Raghavachary known as Meena-1&2 respectively. Sri NVR Raja (Meena-2 Jr.), Chairman, JKR Astro Research Foundation, Hyderabad is propagating presently this system. KSK extended this concept to all the 27 stars in the zodiac and each star of 13o20 divided into 9 parts/division of 3o20and the lord of division in a star is known as SUB LORD. These 9 parts i.e. Sub lords will be in the order and proportion of Vimsothari Dasa and first part starting with the same lord. Thus in a KP chart we have Cusp/Bhava Lord (i.e., Sign lord where a cusp/Planet), Star lord and Sub lord. Similarly, we have Planets Sign, Star and Sub lords. Dasa, Bhukthi and Antara lords become Star, Sub and Sub-sub lords. b. Ruling Planets (RP): Those planets, which are ruling at the time of query and contribute for the fructification of the event, are called Ruling Planets. This is the important extract for horoscopes judgement and they are nine in the descending order (from the powerful to 104

JASA Vol. 3 (2) Oct-Dec 2013 the least) - Lagna Sub-lord, Lagna Star lord, Lagna Sign lord; Moon sub-lord; Moon star lord and Moon sign lord and lastly Day Lord. KSK has taken only seven RPs, excluding Lagna & Moon Sub-lords. Note: 1. If any of the planets which strongly aspects or conjoins the nine ruling planets it can also be included in the RPs. 2. If any of the RPs is retrograde or posited either in the star or sub of a retrograde planet, reject that planet during the period of retrogression and accept the remaining. RPs Rules are- i. The ruling planets at the time of sitting for judgement are the same to that of the horary time, ii. The RPs at the time of the fructification of the event are the same to that of the birth time/horary time. The presence of RPs is to be same but not the order. Application of RPs: The RPs have a definite role in i. fructification of event by finding the common planets between the fruitful significators of an event and RPs during their conjoined period. ii. To verify the correctness of chart by verifying the RPs of a chart with that of arrival time of the consultant. iii. Rectification of birth time. Of all the methods of rectification of birth time the most important one is -If anything occurs to a native like Accidents, marriage, first birth of child, death of parents etc., natives lagnas Sign, Star and Sub lords will be the sub lords of the concerned cusps at the time of occurrence. c. Significators Table: A planet will become significator to a house occupied by its star lord and houses owned by the star lord. The tenant planet is known as significator and indicates such matters depending on the su-portion of the star occupied by the tenant. Significator gives the result of its star lord and so it becomes the indicator of the matters of the house occupied, owned and aspected by it and sub lord decides regarding that matters of the star lord. A planet is said to be a significator of a particular house when it has capability of offering result of that house due to its stellar and positional status which will be low, medium and high category. Significators are the sources for events and used for timing of event. A planet which is placed closer to cusp/Bhava, even if it was behind the cusp and becomes Bhava lord or planet in the constellation of Bhava lord, it will be the significator of the above cusp which is in front of it. Note: The cuspal S/L of a Bhava itself qualifies as significator of that bhava in the absence of planets in its stars, even if S/L negates the bhava. The following are the significators of a Bhava in the order of the strengthi. Planet in the constellation of the occupant of the Bhava (Strongest). ii. The occupant of the Bhava. iii. The planet in the constellation of the Bhava Lord. iv. The Bhava Lord. v. The planets conjoined with the above significators and aspecting the cusp and the planets therein.

105

JASA Vol. 3 (2) Oct-Dec 2013 Note: 1. The nodes are to be included as significators if they are conjoined /aspected /tenanted in the house of significators. 2. Where there are 2 or more planets in i to iii above, all the planets share in the fructification of the event according to their strength. Selection of fruitful significators: The prediction will be accurate basing on the selection of fruitful and rejecting temptor (false) significators. Selection will be made amongst them either on selective basis in the order of strength or by eliminating the tempters/weak significators-i. If a planet is connected with the concerned Bhavas and becomes significator of the relevant houses and if also posited in the subs of any of the significators of the concerned houses, then the planet gives more dependable results. ii. If any planet is posited in his own sub it is stronger planet, iii. If S/L is in beneficial aspect with constellation lord. iv. If S/L of any event is c/w further 2 cusps of the same event success without failure. v. A significator is weak if it signifies Trik 6/8/12 cusps, their constellation or sub lords as well as Trik houses of the bhava under consideration. It becomes weak if star and sub lords become weak and more so if S/L is also weak. d. Role of Nodes: Rahu and Ketu, the nodes were allotted special roles in KP system prediction. They are considered as direct and move in opposite direction. Rahu and Ketu represent the planets in the order of priority- the planets that conjoin, aspect, its star and sign lords. In other words, the nodes represent the planets in this order if those planets are not the significators concerned. Similarly, if nodes do not come under the significators, these planets represent Rahu or Ketu accordingly. e. Aspects and conjunctions: An aspect is the angular distance of celestial longitude between two points in the zodiac, between two planets or one planet and a rasi. Two or more planets in the same rasi are known as conjunction. Aspect and conjunction are more powerful within the orb of 8o and will be from sign to sign. Western aspects were preferred for effective results compared to Parasara aspects by KSK. iii. Judgement: a. PunarphooIf in a chart there is a connection between Saturn and Moon for a relevant Bhava then that particular Bhava result will be abnormally delayed with obstructions and frustrations. Saturn will have more adverse effect being the slow moving planet. b. Improving houses1, 2, 3,6,10 & 11 houses are improving houses to the native and the remaining houses are improving houses for 7th Bhava/opposite party. The more connections to a particular Bhava with improving houses the more powerful and favourable result for the concerned Bhava. c. RulesBhava/Cusp lord i.e. the sign in which the cusp is placed that sign lord is the source/agent of that Bhava, Cuspal star lord gives the nature of result and Cuspal sub lord gives the result of the house more predominantly and essential for minute prediction.

In Stellar Astrology a planet deposited in a particular star gives the results of the lord of the star and acts as an agent of the star lord. A planet transiting in a sign is the source of the event, the lord of the star in which the planet is transiting signifies the nature of the event according to its nature, occupation and 106

JASA Vol. 3 (2) Oct-Dec 2013 lordship, while at the same time the sub lord decides whether the event is favourable or not according to its lordship. Significators of an event if connected with positive and negative houses, positive and negative results will prevail. Note: i. A planet gives the results singly according to its nature. If it conjoins with another planet or aspected by another planet gives combined results according to their nature. Also when a planet is posited in a star the planet gives the nature of the star lord accordingly. ii. Whenever, Sub Lord is referred, if it .is not directly connected with the concerned cusp, then the lord of the star in which the sub lord is posited if connected with the relevant cusp then also the result can be taken. iii. If the sub or star lord is not connected with the relevant cusps, then the nodes representations are to be taken. 6. Example horoscope for analysis: DOB: 14-6-1940, TOB: 22.20hrs. Long82-01, Lat 16-30, Sun 60-31, Moon 171-53, Mars 85-07, Mer 83-18, Jup 13-24,Ven 78-39, Sat 17-34,Ra 17351& Ke 353-51. Cusps: I 297-34, II 333-54, III 7-42, IV 46-37, V 62-23, VI 88-10, VII 117-34, VIII 153-54,IX 187-42, X 6-37, XI 242-23 & XII 268-10. Moon Dasa Balance at birth: 1yr 1m 0d. i. Longevity: Rule: 1CS/L c/w 1,5,9 long life, 6,8,12 short life and middle life 6,8,or 12 and short life 1/5/9 . In this chart, I CS/L Jup c/w 5, 9& 11cusps hence long life (Above 75 yrs). Jup is in Star/Sub of Ven/Ven c/w 4, 5, 9 & 8. Jup conjoined with Mars and Mer who are c/w 2,6,11 & 12 and5, 11 & 12. The native will have minor ailments and cure, having Long life. ii. Education: Rule 4,9 & 11 cusps. In the chart 4 CS/L Mer c/w 6,8,11 &12.So basic education successful after initial difficulties. 9 CS/L Ra c/w 6,8 &11 and Jup Edn.Karaka c/w 4,9,11 & 12 so, higher education completes successfully after failures and sudden obstacles. Note: For longevity determination umpteen combinations are there in traditional system whereas in KP it is simple. 7. Further research after Prof KSK: Prof KSK could not do research on Sub-sub level, even though he desired because of cruel fate of death and subsequently carried by his followers. Similarly, Horary Nos.1 249 (sub level) gone to sub-sub level of Nos.1 - 2193. In predictive part of KP system three different systems were evolved and they are-i. Sub Sub lord Theory F1 - Planet A is in the star of B. (Multi Stellar System MST) by Dr.Kar:

F2 - Planets A & B in the star of C. F3 - Planet A in the sub or sub sub of B, B in the star of C. F4 -Planet A in the sub or sub sub of B, B is in the star of C and C is in the star of D. ii. 4 Step theory developed in Maharashtra by Mr.Husbe and Sri S.G.Gandhalekar, Thana: KP Principle Planet gives the results of its-- a. Star lord, b. Sub lord gives whether the results are successful or not (+ve or -ve) due to its placement or ownership, 107

JASA Vol. 3 (2) Oct-Dec 2013 c. placement/occupation and d. ownership of houses. This principle/discovery has shaken the Astrological world and known as a sub lord theory in KP method which is carried forward i.e., Sub lord will give the results indicated by Star lord of the sub lords. This is fourth step. Dr.Andrew Datta (Sri Indrajit), one of the sincere and ardent students of Guruji Late Sri PVK Punneswara Rao, presently doing further studies and research on KP system, published numerous research and useful articles and running quarterly journal JASA( Journal for advancement of Stellar Astrology). Conducting Professional Courses, Videos on KP system. Details can be browsed in astroandrewkporg. Sri Punit Pandey summarized KP System in five principles1. A planet other than its own also gives its star lords results. 2. Twelfth house from any Bhava negate the results of that house. 3. Results of an event are decided by a group of houses. 4. Sub Lord of a planet qualify the results of that planet. 5. Cuspal Sub Lord tells whether the event is promised or not.

The following letter was received by email from Mr. Indra Mohan Chatterjee (indramohan75@yahoo.co.in) Dear Dr. Andrew Dutta ji, Revered Pranams to you. Very recently someone brought to my notice an astrologically untrained reviewer of a magazine, gaving a half-baked, personal wrong opinion that intercepted signs have nothing to do with Karma and/or limitations or delays etcetera etcetera. This reviewer suffering from self-induced delusion has provided names of books, without even reading them, or worse, even without possessing them, because then he would have felt ashamed to cause this wilful misguidance to the world of astrology in general and KP in particular. The fact that Intercepted Signs show Karma and Karmic effects is clearly found in the following places. JASA readers are requested to read these so that they will be very careful in the future not to chew any rubbish provided by vested self-interest groups, who have no formal training in astrology, do not understand Indian philosophy and culture and hide behind cryptic names and email Ids. Mary Devlin in her book Astrology & Past Lives. Referring to Chiron intercepted along the Virgo/Pisces axis on pages 191-192 Ms. Clow states, Many find retrograde planets and interceptions hard to understand, but great progress is made as soon as it is clear that retrogrades are a time dynamic altering perception, and interceptions are a place dynamic altering perception. With an interception, the houses intercepted indicate a past and present life karmic dynamic; I.e., they show a past-life-karmic failure which will be dealt with in this lifetime no matter what...... I have never yet had a client with an interception who wasnt mastering their karmic failure and giving the gift indicated by the interception. I have puzzled over this for years and I didnt understand what might be happening until I really experienced the teaching which says that we have the same rising sign degree with each incarnation in a cycle; that the Sabian symbol is a reading of the soul throughout all lifetimes. So when there is an interception the client has created an alteration in the dynamic in order to accomplish something very karmic.

Please remember, in India as well as in KP astrology, the entire foundation is based on past-life, past birth and Karma. Can we deny this?? Next please see a text portion from the book written by

Donald Yott in his book

Astrology and Reincarnation on page 2.

If you buy this book and read it, as I have done it, you will see that the above portions are clear that Donald Yott is talking about Intercepted Signs having a Karmic effect. Next I am providing page 575 of The Astrology Book: The Encyclopedia of Heavenly Influences, 2nd Edition by James R. Lewis. Each one of you can see that Lewis on page 575 is also taking about how planets in Intercepted signs provide Karmic effects. These were all successful practising astrologers and not mere book reference-givers by copy pasting from the internet. It is very unfortunate that to hold back the failing subscription of the magazine that some people are resorting to misguidance.

See for yourself!

Not only this, the way to interpret Prenatal epoch in intercepted sign was given by many authors. One notable among them is Rose Lineman. She has clearly written in page 36 of her book Your Prenatal Eclipse which I am reproducing below.

See for yourself how intercepted signs have Karmic effects and stop getting hoodwinked by others.

Next we see the following words from Tracy Marks book Your Secret Self: Illuminating the Mysteries of the Twelfth House. She too is pointing out the fact that Intercepted signs show unresolved problems from many past life times.

Andrew ji, it is unbelievable that Mr. [name removed by Editor] is constantly publishing rubbish by blindly quoting from naming books and authors which have not denied Intercepted Signs and the deep link with past birth and Karma. JASA is the only respectable journal in the world which is constantly exposing these falsities. Thousands of people are wait patiently for 3 long months to know the truth, so kindly publish this document in JASA and save the world of astrology. Worse, these people fool the innocents who have no means to buy and read these books. FURTHER, THEY HAVE TYPWRITTEN SOME IRRELEVANT PARAGRAPHS FROM BOOKS OF ASTROLOGY WHICH HAVE INDEED SUPPORTED INTERCEPTED SIGNS AND KARMA as I have shown in this write-up with scanned pages. Thanking you, Regards, Mohan

An email letter received from Mr. S. Venkatraman (pblsvraman@gmail.com )

Dear Sir, I have read an article on Birth Time Rectification by Shri Yogesh Lajmi with interest. I had to differ from his findings. His rule states that Lagna sub and Lagna sub sub should correspond to Moon Star and Moon sub respectively. This rule has backfired many a time. My friends have in fact told me that they were holding the baby at a time before the time worked out by me based on the rule stated by the author. Further Prof KSK in his reader "Predictive Stellar Astrology" while attending on BTR in one example, states clearly that if lagna is occupied by any planet, the planet itself will become Lagna sub sub. However in another example, in the same book, he took the lord of the lagna as Lagna sub sub. I strongly feel our researches in this regard should not deviate totally what has been given by our Guruji. A Similar article was published in KP year book 2012 published by Mr. K.Subramanian son of Prof KSK using the above rule quoted by Mr Yogesh Lajmi. I have sent one email to the publisher and to the 114

JASA Vol. 3 (2) Oct-Dec 2013 author. The e-mail sent to the author (as stated in the article) has been returned undelivered. I am sorry to write this letter after a long delay as I felt that I should not write to you earlier with one or two failures. Please advise other KP astrologers to take a note of my experiences. I have found the method advocated by Prof KSK as very correct and I have been doing BTR regularly. S.Venkataraman
