General Instructions for Postgraduate and Diploma Courses Admission

1. The candidates must read carefully the conditions of eligibility as given in P. G. Prospectus 2013 - 14 on University website and must satisfy themselves regarding their eligibility for the admission before filling the application form. 2. The Application Fee can be remitted through Cash (During office hours Only, Except on Second & Fourth Saturdays of the month, All Sundays & Holidays) or Demand Draft in favour of the Registrar, Sardar Patel University drawn in any Nationalized Bank payable at Vallabh Vidyanagar. Write your Name, Address, and Mobile/Telephone Number on the back of the Demand Draft. The Application form Fee will not refunded. 3. Applications received after the last date will not be entertained/accepted. University will not be responsible for any postal delays/loss. Late and defective applications will be summarily rejected and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard. 4. Applications submitted on any other format (including old format) will not be accepted. 5. Application Form must be complete in all respects as per the format. All incomplete Application Forms will be rejected. 6. The candidates are requested in their own interest to retain a photocopy of the Application Form, Fee Receipt and Demand draft for their record. 7. Admission to students will be given only on merit basis. 8. University may change the place or date of counseling (Admission) without assigning any reason. 9. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Honorable Vice-Chancellor shall be final and binding. 10. Canvassing in any form on behalf of any Candidate will disqualify the candidate. 11. Only SC/ST students having domicile in Gujarat State will be considered eligible as per reservation policy decided by Gujarat State from time to time. 12. A fresh Non Creamy Layer Certificate must be attached SEBC category of students recognized as such by the State of Gujarat, and not those who have migrated from other States. This Certificate will need to be one issued for the financial year 2013 - 2014. 13. The Government policy will be observed for reserved category candidates. 14. Any student with a handicap will be given admission purely on merit basis. 15. A Student shall bring an original marksheets and other documents for verification at the time of admission (counseling). 16. A Student shall be required to pay necessary fee at a time of admission (counseling). No part payment will be allowed. 17. Counseling for admission will be conducted in the departments concerned.

(A) For M. Sc. (Bio-Informatics) Applications Only: In case you are not offered admission against normal seats in M. Sc. (Bio-Informatics) due to your place on the merit list would you be applying for industry sponsored seats? [if yes, please supply the following required documents: a. Sponsorship Certificate form and industry/institute working in an area related to BioInformatics. b.
