HARVEST BAPTIST CHURCH PRAYER DIARY SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE TIMES 9:00 & 10:45A.M.

MONDAYEVANGELISTIC PRAYER Chronological Bible Reading: Ezekiel 34-36; 2 Peter 2 Monday, November 25 Heb. 1:2-3 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Glorious Father and Gracious King: Majesty on high! Jesus is the brightness of your glory and the express image of your person. He shows your splendor and power. You give me the light of the knowledge of your glory in the face of Jesus Christ. Now it is my turn (by your Spirit) to reflect that light, to impart that knowledge, to manifest that glory, to point to the Saviors face and proclaim the name of Jesus Christ as Lord. Thank you for allowing me to point-out traces of the trinity to __________ and __________. Help me by allowing the Holy Spirit to use the truth of your word to daily destroy sin in my life, to nourish grace in my giving, to bring right desires to my mind, and to motivate me to holy work and holy words. Rom. 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Heb. 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. I thank you for the prayer of Jesus in John 17, and the promise of his intercession for me continually. Holy Spirit, I ask you to likewise spur me on to more intense supplication for the lost. Strengthen my faith extremely with the knowledge of your assistance. Let floods of mercy flow down along an aqueduct of grace, made real by the prayers of faith. And as your unspeakable love is shed abroad in my heart (Rom. 5:5), so enable me to spread it abroad to others today according to your will. Let me start at those closest to me, but extend it to all who are lost. For so I ask it in Jesus glorious name. Amen. A DAILY PATTERN FOR PRAYER & BIBLE READING Chronological Bible Reading: Ezekiel 43-45; 1 John 2 Thursday, November 28 Psalm 116:1 I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. TUESDAYFOCUS ON CHRISTS MIRACLES Chronological Bible Reading: Ezekiel 37-39; 2 Peter 3 Tuesday, November 26 Luke 8:43-44 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched. Merciful Master: There was a woman one time. She came up to you with the press of the rest, not daring to get in your face. She came up behind you instead of getting all up on you, and touched the hem of your garment. She stole a cure, as it were. Oh, my Father, my FatherI am that woman! I am ashamed. I need a blessing or I cannot live. What do you say? Luke 8:48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace. Behind him or before him, I push for a touch! Let me make a mad dash in this prayer. Even if there is an army of demons between Jesus and me, I will plow my way through by faith. Even if I think I am the most wicked wretch who ever trusted Christ, I will trust him now just so it can be said in heaven that there was a bigger sinner returning to the Savior today than there ever was before! Yes! Aid me now to trust and rest on the one I cannot see, but must never doubt, and to follow this as a matter of course every single day of my life. My belief that you are true is the best kind of faith, because it is not faith in what you can do with me that cures, but faith in who you are. My dearest Lord Jesus, I throw myself on you now, to reach out and touch even as little as just the fringe of your clothes. Because, John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. Make me free especially from the shackles of sin. Make me free to serve you from the heart with my life. Do it because Jesus only is worth it. Amen. FRIDAY CORPORATE PRAYER MINISTRY Chronological Bible Reading: Ezekiel 46-48; 1 John 3 Friday, November 29 Heb. 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Gracious God and Loving Lord: We should have been in your prison, driven from your presence for our sins. But now we come before your throne by prayer 24/7, even invited into your secret chamber for a personal audience. Our thankfulness should ascend into joy. We are recipients of such great grace when we are allowed to pray corporately! Lam. 3:29 He putteth his mouth in the dust; if so be there may be hope. Knee, make sure you bend; head, make sure you bow; heart, make sure you worship in his presence! Let us place our faces on the floor and our mouths in the dust. Your throne holds sway in all the worlds. Heaven obeys you cheerfully; hell trembles at you fearfully; the earth yields to you even unwillingly. We put our shoes from off our feet to address such an all-consuming God. Job 25:5-6 Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight. How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm? In lowliness we draw near to you. You are our friend, but it cannot be an unsanctified relationship. Boldness there must be, for we are your children, but it cannot be disrespect. We are still on earth and you in heaven. We are still worms and you are God, even as we pray to live according to your eternal purpose. We repent of not bowing as we should before your Eternal Majesty. Holy Spirit, put us in a right frame of mind to pray. We want every one of our prayers to have the proper approach; it is a throne of grace, but still it is a throne. You are majestic. So if need be, we should sit in silence before you. 1 Sam. 3:9 Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. WEDNESDAYREVIVAL PRAYING Chronological Bible Reading: Ezekiel 40-42; 1 John 1 Wednesday, November 27 1 Cor. 5:7-8 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. O Lord Our God and Salvation: Assist me mercifully with your help. Look on me graciously as part of your family, for whom the Lord Jesus Christ was willing to be betrayed, and given-up into the hands of wicked men. By your Spirit I am governed and sanctified. Receive my prayers, as of every member of your church. Help me both in my vocation and in my ministry to truly and godly serve you. You have made me, and you hate nothing you have made. You do not desire the death of the wicked, but rather, your will is that they might be converted and livesaved. Help me get the truth of the gospel to those who do not know Jesus as Savior and Lord. Take away from them all ignorance, all hardness of heart, and all contempt for the Bible. Fetch them to your fold, blessed Lord, that they may be one flock with us. Rom. 6:9-11 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Since I am baptized into the death of your Son, grant that by continually crucifying my corrupt affections I can be buried with him, and through the grave and fate of death I can pass-on to newness of life. It will not do for me to try to restrain my sinfulness by bit and bridle; it must be mortifiedslain. Help me do so today by your Spirit, who is given precisely to help me do that. Amen. SATURDAYIN THE PSALMS Chronological Bible Reading: Daniel 1-3; 1 John 4 Saturday, November 30 Psa. 17:5 Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not. LORD God and Loving Father: I cannot be a person after Gods own heart like David was, unless I am a man or woman of prayer. Make me a master in the art of praying, flying to the Lord at all times of need, like a plane speeds to an airport in the stress of a storm. I think you dont answer some of us when we do pray simply because we neglect to have a continual prayer relationship. It is more likely I will not hear God than that you will not hear me. Make me grow bold through the strengthening influence of prayer! With Jesus as my complete and all-sufficient righteousness I neednt fear not being heard. The more difficult the times the more I need to fall into prayer. Psa. 17:8 Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings, Teach me by the example of David to pray again and again until I am sure you have heard me. You redeemed me by marvelous grace; rescue me daily by the same undeserved favor. Show me your marvelous lovingkindness. Show it to my mind by removing my ignorance (as I read your word). Show it to my heart as I revive my gratitude. Show it to my faith as I renew my confidence and trust in you. And show it to my experience by delivering me from all my fears. You put forth your best and most glorious strength, using your right hand of skill and power to rescue all of us who trust in you. I am your child, and you have a parents perfect love (not like what my earthly parents displayed). Let my confident expectation keep pace with my intense prayer, so my faith in you and my communion with you walk hand-in-hand today. In Jesus name I request it (for I require it). Amen.

TRAGEDIES are commonplace. All kinds of diseases, people are slipping away. Economys down, people cant get enough pay. As for me all I can say is, Thank you Lord for all you've done for me
Folks without homes living out in the streets And the drug habit some say, they just cant beat. Muggers and robbers, no place seems to be safe, But Youve been my protection every step of the way I want to say, Thank you Lord for all Youve done for me It could have been me outdoors No food, no clothes, left alone, without a friend Or just another number, with a tragic end But you didnt see fit to let none of these things be Cause everyday by your power you keep on keeping me And I want to say, thank you for all you've done for me! I wanna to say thank your for love, thank you for your power Thank you for protection every hour, thank you Jesus Walter Hawkins

PRAYER DIARY

1)

TIMEWORSHIP Mark 1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

GIVE GOD THE FIRST PART OF EVERY DAY. The first commitment is to a daily quiet time with God. Our weekly Prayer Diary provides a template for daily devotions. 2) TITHEWORK 1 Cor 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. GIVE GOD THE FIRST DIME OF EVERY DOLLARno questions asked. Ten percent is a miniscule amount in our affluent society, but it must come off the top in order to show that God is our priority. We want the blessing of the firstfruits (first devotion, first dime and first day) to flow out to the rest of our resources. 3) TEAMWORD Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. GIVE GOD THE FIRST DAY OF EVERY WEEK. You should fellowship with a group of believers around the word of God every Sunday in our church.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Baptists tend to ridicule liturgical churches that use "prepared prayers" because they lack spontaneity. But for many Baptists, their prayers are so predictable they are no more spontaneous than written-out prayers. The result is we end up praying the same things over and over. This daily Prayer Diary will prompt you on a wide range of prayer requests you might not normally think of, while forcing you to articulate a deeper devotion to God. We have included a daily Bible reading schedule. This plan will take you through the Bible chronologically in a year. Do not read ahead and do not try to catch up. Use each day as it comes. Then you can know that on any given day, dozens of other people are lifting their hearts in the same mind to God. Pray what is written, but use what is prayed as a springboard for your own relationship with God. You learn to pray by praying. Alan

Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had prayed. Oh, says one, I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times and seasons for prayer. And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore there must not be some season for more immediately coming into Gods presence. If you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayerthe posture, the time, placerather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition. God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son. Charles H. Spurgeon, 1834-92
