Obiee BUG ------------error:I created a column (Column B) with case-when statement in the formula which deri ves the

values from (Column A). Let s say the column values in Column B are 100,20 0,300 based on the case when statement and the column values in Column A are 100 ,100,100 when I try to get the grand total in the pivot for both columns the tot al comes to 300 when it should be 600 for col B and 300 for Col A. Pivot total ignores the formula and returns the same totals for both columns. Th is happened earlier also when the case-when was used in formula. How can this be corrected? Is it possible to add a duplicate layer to Col B and just get the values into th at instead of the formula and sum that? Sol:.Have you tried unchecking the Report-Based Total" property for this column? .We saw recently, after patching the obiee version, that the report aggregation behavior used by reports with the default aggregation setting had changed. If by chance the aggregation type isn't specified, try working with it to find one th at gives desired results. .As Jeff suggests, explicitly set the aggregation rule to SUM for Column B. Don' t leave it as Default. .We've had the same issue, and have tried each of the suggested solutions. Our e xperience has been that only the column in the first position totals correctly. When the columns are switched, still only the first column calculates correctly. .It should work if you set the aggregation as SUM explicitly in pivot and table. or Edit the formula of the column and add SUM(case when......)
