8.2& ' you who "elieve( )ive you# #es*onse to Allah and His a*ostle when He $alls you to that whi$h will give you ete#nal! life; and %now that Allah $omes in "etween a man and his hea#t and that it is He to whom you shall all! "e gathe#ed.
>e )nows e+actly what is in each heart / >e listens to how each heart responds to >im and >is 6all* To those who adore >im, >e will give an eternal li$e* For those who do not wish to be grate$#l, i.e. those who re4ect >im will have an eternal torment* The 6reator, 1ho has created each individ#al o#t o$ 'ivine :ove does not want s#ch a $ate $or anyone* As a reminder and a warning that li$e on earth is a test, >e there$ore gives calamities*

The p#rpose o$ the calamity is to help #s #nderstand that >e will be strict in p#nishment on the 'ay o$ B#dgment / that all power is in >is >ands* The torment a$ter the 'ay o$ B#dgment will last $or eternity* ,n the other hand, to help #s #nderstand, the 6reator reminds #s o$ the :ove that >e has given to n#rt#re each individ#al to $#ll2strength and establish the present stat#s that each has*

8.2, -all to mind when you we#e small des*ised th#ough the land and af#aid that men might des*oil and %idna* you; "ut He *#ovided a safe asylum fo# you. st#engthened you with his hel* and gave you good things fo# sustenan$e/ that you might be grateful.
