vacancy in our Corporate Risk Advisory Services Department RE-ADVERTISEMENT SHEQ Officer HAY BAND (M) OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY To implement and maintain the SHEQ management systems that are based on ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 standards across the Rand Water sites as follows. PRIMARY DUTIES Ensure organizational compliance to occupational health, safety and environmental (SHE) legal requirements. Implement a SHEQ management programmes at all levels and spearhead the implementation of the OHS-Act & NEMA as part of the OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 SHE Management System. Coordinate and carry out SHEQ Management System Internal Audits and compliance based on ISO 19025 standard Maintenance of local SHEQ Management Systems and ensure its alignment to Corporate SHE & Q compliance Manuals and Maintain Facilitate Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Registers Ensure Contractors comply to OHSAct especially to the Construction Regulations. Close liaison with Corporate SHEQ management systems Advisors regarding implementation and maintenance of systems. Budgeting. Ensure plan of actions are created after all audits & findings are closed out before next audits are undertaken. Ensure incidents are investigated and Root causes identified and appropriate corrective measures are put in place and follow-up to ensure they are effective JOB REQUIREMENTS A Degree/Diploma in a SHEQ related field, SAMTRAC, Modern Safety Management or equivalent will be an advantage. ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001 standards knowledge and that of relevant legislation is essential. 3 years practical experience in managing a SHEQ environment. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office. Valid Code 08 drivers license.
