He Is Not Here Pastor Sean Pinder We are talking about the power behind the Resurrection.

Lets go to the book of Matthew 28. I tell you, I had a blessed time reading over this truth that is in the Word of God. The Bible says, Study to shew thyself approved unto God (2 Tim. 2:15). In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. (Matt. 28:1-2) See, the Lord was not in the earthquake that Elijah heard, but He was sure enough in this one. The angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. This was just to prove how bad he was. He broke the governments seal off the thing! If anyone else would have moved that seal, the government would have had their head. But the angel ripped the seal off and then sat on it. I like those kinds of angels. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow (Matt. 28:3). This was just to demonstrate the power that this angel possessed. When some angels showed up, they just looked like regular men. But not this fellow here! His countenance was like lightning. We see lightning during a storm, and we are ducking and dodging. That lightning is probably a couple hundred, maybe a thousand miles away, and were ducking and dodging. This fellow looked like lightning and he was right in front of them. Sure enough, theres going to be a profound effect. And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. (Matt. 28:4-6) He is not here I have been in some churches where I said those same words: He is not here! The angel said, He is not here You ought to get excited knowing that I am talking about your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The angel said, He is not here: for he is risen He is alive! They crucified Him on Good Friday and they said, He aint gonna come back. But He proved them all to be wrong because my Bible says, let God be true, but every man a liar (Rom. 3:4). The angel said, He is risen! He is alive! That is why we dont have to be afraid. He told the ladies, You dont have to b e afraid. I cant touch you. We are on the same team. I cant do a thing to you.

Come, see the place where the Lord lay. In other words, Come see the place where He used to lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you . (Matt. 28:7) The angel said, I know the disciples are closed up in a room , shaking right now. They are thinking the Jews are about to come and get rid of them, too. But go quickly! I need you to be quick. You cant tarry with this, Mary. They need this word right now. They have to hear it right now. They need to know that Jesus is alive. Paul said, Had not He raised from the dead, we would be worse among all men without hope. But because He lives, I can face tomorrow. He lives! And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen He is risen. I have news for your trouble: He is risen. He is alive. You know, the attacks come on you so bad, you feel sometimes like you are serving a dead God. But I am here to let you know He is not dead. Glory to God! I am here to tell you He is not dead, He is alive! He is alive and well. And, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him Isnt that amazing? The angel said, He is in Galilee. Not in Russia, not in Iran. Call it Galilee. That will preach all by itself. There shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. These ladies were obedient. And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word (Matt. 28:8). The Bible says, Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord (John 20:20). Every now and again, you need to see Jesus. Every now and again, you need a fresh revelation of Who He is because, if you get your eyes off of Jesus, discouragement will settle on you. Before you know it, you will think you are going nowhere. But I believe the Holy Ghost is going to give you a fresh revelation of Who Jesus Christ is today. Just like those ladies, you are going to walk out of here with great joy. And [they] did run to bring his disciples word. Im not sending you to the devils folk, Jesus was saying. Go tell my disciples. Some disciples are going to be robbed if they dont be careful. They are going to be robbed big time. Isnt that amazing? The angel said, No need in hanging around a tomb. Why are you gonna keep visiting this sepulcher? In another place, he said, Why seek th e living among the dead? Why are you gonna keep visiting this sepulcher? Pack your bags. He is not here. So you know what you do? You pack and you move. You see, the Bible says, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling (Phil. 2:12). Not only that, but there are three levels to the will of God. He says, be

ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God (Rom. 12:2). Where you are may be good. In the next step, you may find something that is acceptable. Ah, but God has better. You are on your way to the perfect. When Isaac dug his wells in Esek, what did Esek mean? "Esek" meant strife. He dug again in Sitnah. What did "Sitnah" mean? It meant opposition and accusation. But Isaac was smart. Isaac said, Ill keep on digging. The third time he dug the wells, the place was called Rehoboth. Isaac said, for now the LORD hath made room for us (Gen. 26:22). Why? Because he found what was good first, then he found what was acceptable, and then he found the perfect will of God. Isnt that awesome? He is not here. The tomb looks nice; it sure is quiet in the tomb. But the angel said, He sent me here to direct you. Keep moving. That is why he moved the stone: so you can realize you dont even have much work to do there. Just take a good look at it; He is not here. And do you know what Mary and the others did? The Bible says they departed quickly. The angel said, You don t even have to fight to get into it; the doors wide open. But take a good look. I can see effects that the Lord was there, because there is His cloth. It is folded nice and neat. He has no more need for it. The angel said, Keep moving, or else youll be here by yourself. I am not about to be here by myself. Can you see the Holy Ghost is talking here? Now, here is the big thing. If they would have stayed right there, all they would have had was the past because that was where the Lord used to lay. He was here, but He is not here anymore. The angel said, If you want to see Him, you have to pack and keep moving. That was what the lady said: It was but a little that I passed from them, but I found him whom my soul loveth (Song of Solomon 3:4). You are about to find Him whom your soul loveth. Now watch this: And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy There is some strong revelation here. When you start moving, great joy is going to touch down on you because that is how you know you are in the perfect will of God. I feel the cloud starting to move. I dont know about you, but I am feeling some great joy right about now because I have a witness in my spirit that we are about to find Him whom our soul loveth. Rise up quickly. Behold, he is not here. He has already been here, but He is gone before you. Isnt that what the Bible said in John 10? He calls His sheep and what does He do? He goeth before them (John 10:4). And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. (Matt. 28:9) As they went to tell His disciples, Jesus met them. We are about to run into Jesus, the One whose hands were pierced for me. The One who took a spear in His

side. I believe that was King Sauls spear that he threw at David. It missed David because David was not my Savior. But it landed in the side of my Jesus. And when they stuck Him in His side and pulled it out, out came the blood and the water. The water represents the Word and the Holy Ghost for my sanctification, but the blood represents my redemption. It represents my liberty. It represents my salvation. I have been bought with the blood of Jesus. Devil, you might as well back up because we are about to pack up and move with God. As they went Sounds like the ten lepers, doesnt it? As they went. So the Lord is saying, I only order steps. That means you have to be moving. Do you get it? He can only direct our paths if we are moving. You cant steer a parked car or a parked bicycle. It has to be moving for you to steer that thing. Now watch this. And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail In other words, Greetings. Im here to wish you Godspeed. Blessings. So they met Jesus Himself. And they came and held Him by the feet What a sight! This is my Lord. I can see the nailprints in His feet. He was dead, but Hes alive. Look at what Jesus told them to prove to them the angel wasnt tripping. Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me (Matt. 28:10). Sounds like the angel got his orders from Jesus. He said, Be not afraid Pay attention here. The angel said this to them, now Jesus is saying the exact same thing. Why? Ill tell you why. In the book of Job, the Bible says, For God speaketh once, yea twice (Job 33:14). Isnt that amazing? Watch the Holy Ghost confirm this again. I know Im in the perfect will of God. I do not have to hear a next prophecy; I know God is talking to me. Jesus said, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me. The angel said Galilee, and Jesus Himself is saying, If you want to see me, youre going to have to move. If you want to see me, you have to be in the right location. This sounds pretty clear to me. Isnt that what the angel told them? He is in Galilee. You are about to move. Now wait, I want you to catch this. They were on their way, so Christ was on the move. He did not stay in the tomb. When He met them, they were on their way and He said, Keep going. Those disciples must really have felt defeated because, when they were in Galilee, Jesus walked through the walls. Jesus said, Look at me. Grab a hold of me, for a spirit doesnt have flesh and blood as you see me have. Go on ahead and grab my hands. Grab my feet. It is I. He is alive, but they had to be in the right place to see Jesus. They had to be in the right geographical location to see Him. Why Galilee? I know Peter and the others must have been happy. Peter said, This is where I was when He called me. He is calling us back to that place where He first called us. It is going to be ours before long. Do you believe it?

Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. (Matt. 28:16) But some doubted. I can handle that. It is all right. You get shaken up sometimes. Jesus will do stuff that will make you doubt sometimes. But it is all right; you are a disciple. A disciple is someone who works through their doubts and keeps following. It is okay to doubt, just dont stay there. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. (Matt. 28:18) Ill just touch this. That word power right there is not dunamis. Acts 1:8 says, But ye shall receive power, which is dunamis. But that word power in Matt. 28:18 means exousia. It means delegated authority. Remember when Satan said, All this power Ill give you if you worship me (Luke 4:6-7)? Satan said, For this has been delivered to me. The word delivered right there means betrayal. Adam betrayed God, so I can have this power, is what Satan is saying. The word delivered right there also means entrusted. So Adam handed over his authority to Satan when he disobeyed God. This is exactly what this word exousia means. It means the same thing in Luke 4:6, too. It also means the same thing in Luke 10:19, when Jesus looked at His disciples and He said: Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. That was not dunamis; that was exousia, delegated authority. Thats why they could cast demons out and work miracles in His Name: because they operated in His delegated authority. A policeman out on the street can raise his right hand. He doe snt have the power to stop you; he has the delegated authority to stop you. And you have to obey him because the state of Texas will flatten you. Got it? So, when Jesus rose from the dead, He took every single trace of delegated authority over this earth that Satan had gotten from Adam. T he Bible calls Christ the second Adam. Satan never had power or authority over Christ, the second Adam, because the second Adam never committed any sin. So, when He rose from the dead, He stripped Satan of all of his delegated power and authority that was handed to him from Adam. Christ said to us, Now, you can go into all this world and preach the Gospel because I have all the power now. I have regained what Adam lost. Now, any place you go on this earth where Satan is operating, he is there illegally. That is why you can cast the devil out. But not only that. Not only do we have delegated authority, exousia, but we also have dunamis. Dunamis actually means worker of miracles. It is supernatural ability from the Holy Ghost. So we have dunamis and exousia; the devil doesnt have a chance! We not only have the delegated

authority to raise up our hands, but we actually have the ability to make it happen! You got it? So He got it back. He said, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth (Matt. 28:18).
