INTRODUCTION

Borneos Plight in Malaysia Foundation Ltd., or BOPIM is a new foundation which is to be mobilized as a launching pad for a new sociopolitical struggle to fight courageously for the return of not just Sabahs rights and autonomy but its SOVEREIGNTY as a NATION within, or without, the Federation of Malaysia. We reject the idea that Sabah is merely the twelfth unitary states in Malaysia, and will provide with irrefutable documents that Sabah and Sarawak were cheated into joining the formation of Malaysia, and they, as countries, have been subjugated, colonized and robbed of its natural resources for the benefit of Malaya. We will stand without compromise that the salvation and survival of Sabah and Sarawak are possible only if we have free reins to practice our own style of governance, and decide our own socio-economic, diplomatic and political directions. We will publicize and present these stances, and struggle with uncompromising conviction, to create and whip up a new and dynamic socio-political zeal and spirit of revivalism in Borneo. By the strength and the far-reaching implications of its struggle, BOPIM, without doubt, is superseding and exceeding the ideological platforms of all other political movements in Sabah, or for that matter, in Malaysia, at the present time.
