The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) continues to monitor and inspect transmission lines and other facilities affected by the passage of Typhoon Yolanda. The following transmission lines and facilities are affected by the typhoon: LUZON 1. Batangas-Lipa 69kV Line AFFECTED AREAS: Portions of Municipalities of Lipa, San Jose and Mataas na Kahoy 2. Batangas-Rosario 69kV Line AFFECTED AREAS: Portions of Municipalities of Ibaan, Rosario, Padre Garcia, San Juan, Taysan 3. Batangas-PLB-Holcim 69kV Line AFFECTED AREAS: Portions of Municipalities of Mabini Substation, Holcim, PLB 4. Calaca-Nasugbu-Calatagan 69kV Line AFFECTED AREAS: Portions of Municipalities of Balayan, Nasugbu, Lian, Calatagan 5. Calaca-Taal 69kV Line AFFECTED AREAS: Portions of Municipalities of Lemery, Taal, Agoncillo, San Luis VISAYAS (NOTE: Status as of 06:00 AM Nov.9, 2013 only. Update to be given when report from Visayas Regional Disaster Command Center is already available. VRDCMC is currently encountering communication problems.) 1. High-Voltage Direct Current (HDVC) is blocked. No power from Luzon to Visayas 2. Cebutotal power generation, 157MW (Cebu City, Mandaue City, Lapulapu City, Balamban City, Toledo, Asturias, City of Naga, San Fernando, Carcar City, Sibonga, Argao, Dumanjug, Alcoy) 3. Negrosload restored, 15MW (Amlan, San Jose, Sibulan, Dumaguete City, Bacong, Dauin, Zamboanguita, Siaton) 4. Panayload restored, 20MW. PECO Powers Iloilo City. 5. Leyte-Samarfor assessment of affected transmission facilities, no load restored and no available communication link. 6. Boholfor assessment of affected transmission facilities, no load restored and no available communication link.

The following transmission lines and facilities have been restored: 1. Calaca-Bian 230kV Line - out 8-Nov, 11:30PM; energized at 9-Nov 4:01AM. 2. Bolbok-Concepcion 13.8kV Line out 8-Nov, 7:46PM; energized 9-Nov, 9:34AM.

Please note that loss of power may be caused by affected transmission facilities of NGCP or distribution facilities of local distribution utilities or electric cooperatives. Specific cities and municipalities affected by the power interruptions are determined by concerned Distribution Utilities, unless the outage affects the entire franchise area. Necessary preparations and precautions have been implemented to minimize the impact of the storm on NGCP operation and facilities. These include ensuring the availability of hardware materials and supplies necessary for the repair of damages to facilities, as well as the positioning of line crews in strategic areas, to facilitate immediate restoration work. Aerial patrol, inspection, and restoration of lines in the affected areas will be in full swing as soon as the weather allows. ###
