The main aim of this project is to avoid rigging completely. Electronic voting systems have come into picture to prevent rigging upto the maximum extent. But even there may be some malfunctions during elections. Thus, fingerprint based electronic voting system has been designed. According to ancient Greek scripts B !"ET# $% means study of life. Biometrics studies commonly include fingerprint, face, iris, voice, signature, and hand geometry recognition and verification. "any other modalities are in various stages of development and assessment. Among these available biometric traits, &inger 'rint proves to be one of the best traits providing good mismatch ratio and also reliable. The present scenario to operate a bank locker is (ith locks (hich are having keys. By this (e can)t say that (e are going to provide good security to our lockers. To provide perfect security and to make our (ork easier, (e are taking the help of t(o different technologies vi*. E"BE++E+ %,%TE"% and B !"ET# $%. &irstly discussing about Biometrics (e are concentrating on &ingerprint scanning. &or this, (e are using & " -.-./ high voltage module as a scanner. This module has in0built #!", +%' and #A". n this, (e can store the fingerprints of up to 1.. users. This module can operate in 2 modes i.e., "aster mode and 3ser mode. 4e (ill be using "aster mode to register the fingerprints (hich (ill be stored in the #!" present on the scanner (ith a uni5ue id. 4hen a person (ants to register himself in the voter list, he has to provide his complete details along (ith his fingerprint image. Thus, (hen the same person comes to poll his vote during the elections, he needs to give his fingerprint image before polling his vote. Thus, the system scans his fingerprint image, compares the image (ith the already stored image. f both the images are matched, the person can enter into the room to poll his vote.
