Performing, checking and approving pipe stress analysis calculations for piping systems according national and international design codes e.g. ASME, RToD, EN. Generating, checking and approving pipe stress analysis reports for Notified Bodies (authorities). Gathering information from and deliver input to other disciplines. Piping stress engineers to work on the Long Harbour Nickel Processing Plant project located in Long Harbour, Newfoundland, Canada. The successful candidate will be working in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. The piping materials of construction are mainly carbon steel, rubber lined carbon steel, and significant quantities of FRP. Duties typically involve addressing all piping stress related aspects of piping including interfacing with vendors, clients, and plant construction. It also involves responding to requests for information from the project site. Under general supervision, the piping stress engineers apply an extensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in piping stress related work, and make decisions independently on engineering problems and methods.
