Jamie and I received many positive comments on the first issue of the Gospel Truth Magazine in April. You told us how much you appreciated reading stories about the lives that were being changed. And many of you were very surprised to learn how much your gifts were accomplishing. We hope you will like this second issue as well. We have included another great healing journey story. This is about Shirley Vaughn, a woman who was healed from a forty-year illness. If you have been struggling with a long-term illness, this will be a blessing. If you have a heart for children, there are two articles you will want to read: 33 a Day and Ashley Chooses Life. They are stories about two of the ministries Jamie and I have been helping for many years. The Gospel Truth television program and our monthly letter are reserved for teaching. This magazine provides a way for us to report to you more about what the Lord is doing through this ministry. You are the ones that make it all possible, and we want you to know whats happening. We love you, Andrew and Jamie

Gospel
Christianity is believed by many to be just another way to God. They think Christianity is nothing but a different set of rules, substituting Christian dos and donts for those of other religions. The truth is, its the only way to God. So, what is the difference between true Christianity and all the other religions? Christianity is the only religion on the face of the earth with a Savior: Jesus. All other religions place the burden of salvation on the back of the individual, while true Christianity places all the burden of being right with God upon Jesus, and what He did for us. Other religions believe in a god that will accept or reject people based on how they act. Those who live relatively holy will be accepted, and those who live badly will be rejected. Sadly, there are millions of people who have that same belief and think they are Christians. But thats not the true Gospel.
Gospel
by Andrew Wommack
Many people who embrace Christianity dont believe the Gospel. Thats a shocking statement and one that brings many different reactions. But its absolutely true.
Any teaching, even if it claims to be Christian, that makes Gods acceptance or rejection of us dependent upon our performance is not presenting the true Gospel. You can improve your performance, but it will never be perfect this side of heaven. God doesnt grade on a curve. If you keep all of the commandments except one, you fail the holiness test. James 2:10 says, For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. Therefore, we cant base our relationship with God on our own performance. We have to have a Savior. Thats exactly what the Lord gave us. He gave us His Son who paid for all our sins: past, present, and even those we will commit in the future, as recorded in Hebrews 9:12, 15 and 10:10, 14.
You can improve your performance, but it will never be perfect this side of heaven. God doesnt grade on a curve.
The only thing He requires of us is to put faith in Jesus as our Savior. Romans 10:9-12 says, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. Generally, people accept this truth as far as their initial born-again experience goes. They realize they need a Savior and have truly put faith in Jesus. Their eternal destiny is secure. Then they forget about the very thing that produced their salvation (faith in a Savior) and start trusting in their own actions to maintain that relationship with the Lord. For example, they think the Lord wont answer their prayers if they dont meet a certain standard of performance. If they would have had that attitude when it came to being born again, they would never have been saved. No one needed to bring up all their sin; they knew they were sinners and needed to receive the forgiveness Jesus freely offered (Rom. 3:23). Jesus died to forgive sinners (Rom. 5:8). They put faith in a Savior. Then, they went to church. They were told that now that they were saved, they needed to live holy for the Lord to answer their prayers. Or they were told it takes a combination of their holiness and what Jesus did for them in order to receive from God. The result was they departed from their faith in a Savior and became their own savior, but thats not the true Gospel either. We have to continue to walk with God by the same simple faith in Christ as our Savior, which we used
when we first believed. As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him (Col. 2:6). The Galatian Christians fell into this error, causing the Apostle Paul to write the book of Galatians. He was adamantanyone who preached any other gospel than the one he had preached was to be cursed (Gal. 1:8). This was a shocking statement. Im sure some of the people thought they must have misunderstood him. So, he repeated it in the next verse. Paul wanted to make it absolutely clear that there was no room for error when it came to the Gospel. So, what is the Gospel? First let me tell you what the Gospel is not. It is not just the belief that there is a God and that Jesus is the Son of God who died for the sins of the world. And its not just the belief that if we dont repent, we will go to hell instead of heaven. Those are facts and essential to the Gospel. The devil believes all of those things (James 2:19), but he certainly isnt saved. The Gospel is specifically emphasizing the means by which we partake of what Jesus did. Its all about the grace of God and our faith in that grace. Galatians 1:6 says, I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel. Notice that Paul uses the words grace and gospel interchangeably. Thats because the Gospel is the good news. We dont get what we deserve; we get what Jesus deserves if we simply accept Him, by faith, as our Savior. Thats grace. Paul did the same thing in Acts 20:24. He used the words gospel and grace interchangeably again. When Paul spoke of the Gospel, he was speaking of being justified in the sight of God by faith in Gods grace: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God (Eph. 2:8). That is the exact opposite of the teaching that you

have to be holy in order for God to accept you. Romans 1:16-17 says, For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. The book of Romans communicates clearly that the Gospel is the power of God. Its what produces the life of God in people. However, the word Gospel has become a religious term that has lost its meaning today. Many people associate Gospel with anything that has to do with religion, specifically the Christian religion. But the word Gospel literally means good tidings, or good news. The Greek word euaggelion, which was translated
gospel in seventy-four New Testament verses, was so rare in writings outside of the New Testament that its only found twice in extra-biblical manuscripts. The reason for this is because this word not only meant good news but was actually describing nearly-toogood-to-be-true news.
Romans 2:4 says its the goodness of God that leads us to repentance; not preaching on hell fire and damnation.
Much of Christian culture today associates the Gospel with these statements, Youre a sinner. If you dont repent, youre going to hell. Now, these are true statements. There is a heaven and a hell, a God and a
Even the word salvation is misunderstood. Salvation is everything Jesus purchased for us through the atonement. Sozo, the Greek word from which save was translated, means more than forgiveness of sin; it also means healing and deliverance. Its a word that summarizes everything Jesus provided for us through His death, burial, and resurrection. James 5:14-15 vividly illustrates how salvation includes both healing and forgiveness of sin: Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save [sozo] the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him (brackets mine). Salvation is a package deal, and its all accomplished by the grace of God, not our works. However, Satan is always trying to deceive us. He is the one who wants us to believe we must earn things from God. He is the one causing us to doubt the Lords willingness to use His ability on our behalf, and unfortunately, the church is often reinforcing that belief. Ive had many believers come up to me in the prayer lines asking, Why am I not healed? Ive fasted, prayed, and studied the Word. I pay my tithes and go to church. Im doing the best I can. What does God demand? When I hear that, they have just given me the answer to their question. Their faith isnt in what Jesus did for them, but they are pointing to what they have done. No one should want what they deserve. Most people believe that God moves in their lives proportional to their performance. That is exactly what was believed in the early church. When Paul came along and said Im not ashamed of the Gospel! he was saying I am not ashamed to tell people about the goodness, grace, and mercy of God. The Lord loves us in spite of who we are and what weve done. Now thats good news! Its nearly-too-good-to-be-true news. The religious folks of Pauls day thought this was terrible. They believed what he was preaching was
heresy. People needed to focus on how ungodly they were. They needed to know God wasnt happy with them or the way they were acting, that they were just worms in His sight. Sound familiar?
We dont need to convince people they are sinners; ... We need to show them the way out. Thats what the Gospel does!
On the surface it looks like a humble position. In reality, its actually making a persons relationship with God dependent on self. Look what I have done for the Lord, how holy Ive been, and how much Ive denied myself. This is actually a very self-centered, self-dependent way of approaching God that never produces any fruit in your life. Religion wants to make sure that people know they are sinners and on their way to hell. However, the truth is that they already know that. Romans 1:18-19 says, For the wrath of God is revealed [not going to be, but already is revealed] from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath [past tense] shewed it unto them (brackets mine). Gods wrath has already been revealed intuitively inside of every person. Each individual has within them the knowledge of Gods wrath against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men. So, when someone wonders, If I just tell people about the goodness of God, what will make them understand that they are sinners in need of salvation? Pauls answer was that they already know that. In their hearts, people already know they arent good but that theyre sinners in need of salvation. The point is that you dont have to bombard people with their sinfulness. Deep in their hearts they
devil, and you will go to hell if you dont repent and receive salvation, but even though all of that is truth, its not good news. Its not the Gospel. As a matter of fact, its the complete opposite of what Paul was teaching. Roman 2:4 says its the goodness of God that leads us to repentance, not preaching on hellfire and damnation. The Gospel is directly related to the grace of God. Thats the only way this forgiveness of our sins can be obtained. It isnt through our holiness or good works. God doesnt just save the good people. He justifies the ungodly. Romans 4:5 says, But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. This causes many problems for religious people. They say, Wait a minute! I believe you must do this and that to be holy. Religionfalse religion, mans concepts teaches that right standing with God and His blessings come as a result of our own goodness and works. Religious teachers say, You must come to our church. You must pay your tithes, read your Bible, and pray more, to mention a few. Then, if you do all these things just right, God will accept you. Thats anti-Gospel! Its against the good news of Gods grace, because its putting the burden of salvation

on your backand you cant bear it. Nobody can save themselves. Thats basically the false Gospel that religious teachers preach today. They may talk about the one true God and use Christian terminology. They may even mention that Jesus is the Savior of the world who died for our sins. But at its core, its another Gospel which is no Gospel at all (Gal. 1:7).

I think this book could radically change peoples perception of how God relates to us. I know it would be a major blessing to you and to those you minister to. I encourage you to get several copies of this book today. I also have this teaching in cassette, CD, and DVD formats (DVD recorded from television). This is a synopsis of Pauls masterpiece on the subject of the Gospel of grace, the book of Romans. It has changed my life, and it can change yours too. Shirley Vaughns strange illness first manifested over forty-five years ago when she was in high school. After being hospitalized with internal pain and sudden weight loss, a battery of tests showed no source for the illness. And even though the symptoms disappeared while she was in the hospital, they never left Shirleys life. Over the years, the attacks on Shirleys body became more excruciating and more frequent. She tried every type of doctor: MDs, naturopaths, chiropractors, and other specialists. Test after test still did not reveal any real answers for her condition. Shirley likened herself to the woman in the Bible with the issue of blood. I had spent much time and money and was none better, she reflects. Her life became one of coping with the pain. She learned she could manage it somewhat by restricting her diet. But this limited the activities she could do with others, since so much of her fellowship with friends
Defeated
The pain controlled her life. It told her when and what she could eat. It limited her activities with friends and family. It was a merciless dictator and little by little was literally stealing her life. Something had to change.
especially at church functionsrevolved around food. The illness was something she was forced to confront every day of her life. As a mature believer, Shirley had often seen Gods hand of healing on her own life and others. She had a revelation of healing from the Word of God and had personally encountered instant manifestations of healing. She convinced herself that God would once again heal her through a sovereign act of His power, since He had done that previously in her life. But after forty-five years, healing still eluded her. It was now July 2006, and Shirley, her husband, and her son had come to Andrews Summer Family Bible Conference in Colorado Springs. Up to the last minute, there were doubts that she would make the trip because of her weakened condition. With Shirley down to a feeble ninety pounds, her family was desperate for her and insisted they would get her to the conferenceat any cost. Shirley went to the conference expecting a miracle.
Healing Journey
The next day was the Fourth of July, and I was claiming my independence from the pain, remembers Shirley. Upon arriving, she met with Andrew, who prayed with her and told her to watch the Niki Ochenski videothe story of a girl miraculously healed from fibromyalgia. After Andrew prayed, Shirley felt healed. She decided to act on her faith and participate in the conference barbecue. I dont think there was ever a meal I enjoyed more, and I ate food I hadnt eaten in years, says Shirley. Even though she took this step of faith, the next day she was sicker and in more pain than ever. Her intense pain kept her out of the following days meetings. Her husband bought her the DVDs of the meetings, and she watched them in their hotel room on her portable DVD player. When her friend Jim Ertel, one of Andrews directors, heard she was too sick to be at the meetings, he sent prayer warriors to her. The following day, Cecil and Lisa Paxton, who used to manage the prayer ministry at AWM, met with Shirley in her hotel room and ministered Gods Word to her. Cecil commanded the pain to go from my body and prayed that I would have a peaceful nights sleep, which I hadnt had in forever, remembers Shirley. Cecil also explained that when people deal with an affliction for a long time, it becomes part of their identity. They find themselves, almost subconsciously, adjusting their life style to compensate for the illness. Even though they are making all the right confessions, they really dont see themselves healed in their hearts. The person must have a change of heart to receive the full manifestation of healing. Cecil left Shirley his teaching The Heart: Our Success for Life to listen to before he and Lisa returned the following day.
While Cecil and Lisa ministered to her, God revealed to Lisa through a word of knowledge that He was giving her a new lining in her digestive tract. Shirley knew at that point she could mark that day as the first day of the rest of her life. Cecil warned her, however, that the devil would come to challenge her healing. He told me that in order to meet this challenge, says Shirley, I must be careful of my thoughts and only say what God says about me. The Word of God must speak louder than my circumstances.
I must be careful of my thoughts and only say what God says about me
That night was the final night of the Summer Family Bible Conference. Shirley was not only able to go to the meetings, but was also able to testify to Gods goodness. The following day, Shirley and her family headed home on their two-day journey to Arizona. Just as Cecil warned, Satans challenge came. But this time, Shirley was ready. Even though she woke up with excruciating pain all over her body, she was not deterred. She plugged in her CD player and kept Gods Word echoing in her ears. She only allowed one thought into her mindthe Great Merciful Father God is healing me. Even while she slept, Shirley kept Cecils teaching playing. The symptoms slowly subsided, and by the time she reached her hometown, she knew victory was at hand. Her appetite returned, and now she could eat whatever she wanted and not get sick. The kitchen was about to become one of Shirleys favorite places. Its been a little over a year since Shirley received her healing, yet she still listens to teaching that will keep her heart established. Shes gained thirty pounds and is now pain free. I am so grateful to Andrew Wommack Ministries, says Shirley. They wouldnt give up on me, but just kept sending people until I got healed. But most of all, I am grateful to the Great Merciful Father God for His enduring love. Even when I could have given up on myself, God never did. GT
...when people deal with an affliction for a long time, it becomes part of their identity.
Shirley slept better that night than she could ever remember. After listening to Cecils teaching and praying for God to help her with any unbelief she may have been harboring, she was ready for Cecil and Lisas return visitand ready to receive her healing!

Charis Charis
God has been moving mightily through Charis Bible College (CBC) students from our extension schools around the world. Even United Nations peacekeeping troops, from India, in the Congo of Africa, have been touched. Andrews mandate from the Lord, to train other faithful men and women to teach the truth of the Gospel, is bearing fruit (2 Tim. 2:2). Those who have visited our St. Petersburg, Russia, extension school are often surprised when they meet the students. Most are not Russian. They are well-educated young people who come from all over the world to study for a profession at the University in St. Petersburg. During the day they attend classes at the University. In the evening, they attend CBC. The school in Russia is literally touching the world through its multi-national graduates. This became very evident on a recent missions trip that the Russian, second-year students took to Africa. Many of these students were from India, attending CBC in St. Petersburg. There, we saw firsthand how powerful and effective it is when people of their own nation and culture speak the truth to them in love. The American missionary host, Mike Anticoli, to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Africa, prayed diligently for the U.N. peacekeeping force in his city of Butembo. His desire was to be allowed to pray for these troops, who were soldiers from the country of India. How would this be possible? One day, quite unexpectedly, God sent Mike an African man who was an interpreter for the U.N. The people will not listen to me because I am African, the
Before the team departed for this trip, everyone felt impressed to focus on Gods love. As it turned out, they were right on track. Once in the Congo, they realized that the love of God was something completely new for the people who lived there. Wherever you go, the colonel told the students, you spread love, and youve accepted me as one of you.
his desire. God allowed both sides to talk freely to one another, and He touched many hearts as the students from Russia ministered to them. Although the colonel was not very open to the Lord, he asked to join the missions team as they returned home through Uganda and Egypt. During his three days with the team, he was treated as one of their own. He played games with them, sat in on prayer times and Bible studies, and listened to their testimonies from the trip. When the colonel was ready to return to his home, the students insisted on giving him a signed Bible. God had done a great work in his heart. When you talk, he told the students, I sense you know your purpose and are doing what youre supposed to be doing. I know I need purpose in my life. Innocently he asked, When you became a Christian, did you have to change something on your passport?
Elsewhere in Russia
The St. Petersburg missionaries arent the only Russian students impacting their world. Sean and Lisa Michaud, 1997 graduates from CBC-Colorado, followed Gods call to launch a Charis Bible College in Ufa, a city two time zones east of Moscow. This college, which not that long ago would have been forbidden by Communist rule, is beginning to grow and flourish in a once oppressed society. The people of Ufa, hungry for Gods Word, are now being transformed by biblical teaching and are receiving salvation, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and healing. In

an effort to reach as many people as possible, the college is currently translating Andrews DVD teachings into the Russian language. This is a painstaking and expensive project, but will prove to be a powerful tool for reaching the Russian people. Unlike CBC extension schools in Western nations, the colleges in Ufa and St. Petersburg will never become self-supporting. They charge very little or no tuition. These schools, like many more we will soon launch in other Third-World countries, are subsidized by AWM World Outreach. The directors of the subsidized schools do an amazing job of working with limited funds and
tight budgets. They really are heroes of the faith. We are currently exploring opportunities in Germany, Holland, Hungary, Colombia, Mexico, and many cities within the United States for new CBC extension schools. Around the world, CBC graduates are being used to change lives and impact the kingdom of God. Power of Partnership
Before I share where we go from here, I need to state where here is. As of September 1, 2007, the Gospel Truth television program reaches 60% of all United States households (approx. 66,000,000) and 160 million households outside of the U.S. A lot has been accomplished since our first television broadcast seven and a half years ago on January 3, 2000. Those first programs reached less than one percent of America. Charis Bible College (CBC) has nearly 300 students attending the Colorado Springs campus with another 180 attending one of our five U.S. extension schools. We have 27 in-church schools with at total of 134 students and 290 students taking the first-year correspondence course. Our four foreign CBC extension schools have a combined enrollment of over 200 and another 130 taking the correspondence course through the England school. Thats over 1,200 students actively involved in CBC ministry (AWM World Outreach) this year. CBC graduates are directing these schools and other independent Bible schools, churches, and ministries worldwide.
Foreign ministry has increased dramatically. We plan to open an AWM headquarters in key locations of the world over the next few months. Ill tell you more about that when plans are finalized. And, our partnership with Ambassadors to the Nations (read the article 33 a Day) is making a big impact on a number of Central American nations and Cuba. Here involves much more than I have written in this short article. But it might help you see how much you are helping us accomplish when I tell you it now takes a staff of over 150 in the U.S. and nearly 30 in the U.K. to manage the here.
in Uganda, England, France, Germany, and the Czech Republic. Next year I return to England, Northern Ireland, Uganda, and South Africa. Plus, we are scheduled to minister in Russia for the first time. I anticipate that this coming year is the year CBC will begin to reap the harvest from all the new people who have been drawn to this Gospel of grace. I can already see a few years down the road when our Colorado Springs CBC facility will be maxed out. Im praying about the next step. Since going on television in 2000, and more specifically, since my revelation on January 31, 2002 of how I had limited God through my small thinking, what has happened is miraculous. I see much more of Gods miraculous provision and expansion in ministry on the horizon. My ultimate vision is to cover the globe and saturate the U.S. with this nearly-too-good-to-be-true Gospel. I want everyone to hear it clearly presented. I know not everyone will receive it, and there will be many who reject and persecute this message. But I also believe there will be millions who are set free. Only God knows the potential of what the liberating truths of His Gospel can produce. Thank you for receiving the message God has burned into my heart. And a special thank you to those of you who have partnered with me in this challenge to get this message out. Together we are making a big difference, and it will only get bigger. GT

Scared and confused, Ashley was ready to have an abortion, as she saw no other alternative. Ashleys parents wanted her to have the baby, so they introduced her to a friend who volunteered at Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center. Ashley agreed to go to the center to meet with a crisis pregnancy counselor. After seeing her baby at her eleven-week ultrasound, Ashley began to change her mind about the abortion. She was amazed at how developed her baby was at such an early stage. She was equally amazed at the amount of care and encouragement she received from the center. The counselors support gave her the necessary confidence to make the decision to parent. Ultimately, Ashley chose life for her baby. As a result, her life actually improved instead of becoming worse, as so many had insisted it would. Her grades improved, she made plans to go to college, and she is

Life
Ashley* was a normal teenage girl, enjoying her senior year in high school and dreaming of life beyond graduation. Then one day everything changed. Ashley learned she was pregnant, and with that realization, her dreams screeched to a standstill. Ashleys friends and their parents told her having an abortion was the only answer. After all, they warned her, having a baby at her age would simply ruin her life.
overcome with joy every time she looks at little Sam. Ashleys life is one of many that has been changed through the work of Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center (CSPC). CSPCs history dates back to 1983. After one year of operating on a shoestring and only serving eight clients, Andrew came alongside and offered to help. Abortion rates had skyrocketed at an alarming rate after the 1973 Roe vs. Wade decision. Through personal meetings with pastors, Andrew and others proclaimed the far-reaching tragedy of abortion. Soon, local churches began providing financial support, and the following year they were able to serve three hundred and fifty young women Formerly called Bethany Crisis Pregnancy Center, it changed its name to Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center in 1987 to better reflect its mission of reaching
the city with Gods love and mercy. At the core of the ministry is its Intervention/Pregnancy Center. The center provides free pregnancy tests, baby clothes, formula, diapers, and free ultrasounds. Nearly 80 percent of the centers abortion-minded clients decide to choose life for their child when they see the babys picture on the screen. As the ministry began to grow throughout the years, new programs were developed to more effectively meet its clients needs.
programs developed throughout the community, CSPC decided to refer clients to these already-established programs. Eventually, the home was sold, but its sale allowed the ministry to purchase the building that CSPC resides in today.
Shepherding Homes
A few years after the pregnancy center opened, shepherding homes were established for expectant mothers who needed a place to live. Families from
local churches offered their unconditional love and support, along with a room where expectant mothers could live until their babies were six weeks old. During this time, the mothers learned life skills, parenting skills, and established plans for their futures. In 1993, an additional home opened for single moms and their children, helping the women achieve independence once they left their shepherding homes. As similar

this ten-week Bible study addresses the painful reality and devastating impact of past abortions and brings hope and healing to those suffering from post-abortion syndrome. Men and women alike who have undergone an abortion experience describe a profound sense of loss. Healing begins as a person takes steps to face the past, bring their pain and remorse to the Lord, and then allow Him to lead them through the healing process. With over 47 million abortions since the Roe vs. Wade decision, there are walking wounded everywhere who have a great need for the ministry this program offers.
LifeSteps
This earn while you learn program helps meet the material needs of clients. Participants watch videos, attend classes, and complete homework assignments to earn credits. These credits are then exchanged in the centers free clothing closet. Not only does this develop greater parenting skills for the clients, but it provides the opportunity for long-term and close relationships between the centers workers and the clients, which leads to sharing the Gospel and discipleship. These Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center programs have gone a long way to provide hope, education, encouragement, and healing to many. As this life-changing ministry continued to grow, its board members and executive leadership prayerfully reviewed the purpose and direction of the ministry. The result was a mutual agreement that the Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center was not solely a crisis pregnancy center with other pro-life ministries attached, but rather a sanctity of life umbrella ministry that includes various outreaches. The name Life Network was adopted to better embrace the fullness of the ministry it accomplishes each day. The Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center name and ministry continue as before, but now under the Life Network umbrella. The new mission statement encompasses these changes: Life Network is a sanctity of human life ministry that impacts and transforms people with the love of Christ. In the past, the focus was primarily on
the clientthe woman in an unplanned pregnancy. Now, although Life Network continues to serve the crisis pregnancy client, it has expanded to include the community and the church. Its main focuses are to exhort the church to take a more powerful stand on issues of life and death and to boldly proclaim the sanctity of human life to the community. Every day, Life Network influences the church and community as well as women and families impacted by an unplanned pregnancy. It is Christ centered, evangelical, and intentionally multicultural and cross-generational in order to reflect the community it serves. It provides hope and truth, offering Gods mercy and grace to the least of these and serves as a strong tower of refuge to those in great need of protectionthe unborn. Nearly twenty-five years ago, Andrew, with a group of other committed Christians, stepped out in faith to counter the abortion holocaust by helping to create the Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center. The fruits of their faithfulness to Gods call abound: Over 60,000 womens lives have been impacted, 1,749 babies have been saved from abortion, and more than 1,400 people have been born again through this ministry. Life Network is just one of example of the far-reaching effects of obeying Gods call. What is God asking you to do? GT

A Day

Darey and Karen were completely unaware of what God was about to do in their hearts. It was 1990 and they were on their first missions trip to Nigeria to visit a work they had supported for many years. They wanted to see for themselves what their support was accomplishing. While there, the Lord began speak to them. He was about to place a big vision in their hearts, but had a question they needed to answer: Would you be willing to radically change your lives for the sake of My people? Their answer, yes! It was hard at first to make so many changes in our lives, remembers Karen. But God told us He would train us and put the right people around us. He even gave us the name of our ministryAmbassadors to the Nations. Their first missions trip took place in 1992 to Acuna, Mexico. Homes were built for church members who were living in cardboard boxes; families were

supplied with food, clothes, and toys; and a brand-new church was built! That was just the beginning of what God had in mind. Up to this point, all the financial support for this had come from their church family in Charlotte, North Carolina.

You would think that thirty-three cents a day couldnt buy much, right? Think again! If you put it into Gods hands, through people like Darey and Karen Jolley, you can transform the life of a child for Jesus.
Divine Connections
The ministrys influence was growing within Mexico, but God didnt want the ministry limited to one country, and that would soon become clear. Their church in North Carolina had been a regular stop for Andrew Wommack. He had ministered at their annual camp meeting for over twenty years. In 1993 Andrew prophesied that they would meet a man who would ultimately open up all of Central America for Ambassadors to the Nations. Later that year, their pastor met Pastor Daniel from Nicaragua. He wasted no time in inviting Darey and Karen to minister

to the people of his country. That connection opened the doors for them to establish Bible schools and teach in churches and prisons throughout Central America.
A City Is Built
We stopped in that town just to get something to drink, but God had a bigger plan. As we walked around the city of Las Mederas, Nicaragua, we decided to visit a few people in their homes. We were touched by how poor and needy they were. And we soon realized they didnt have a single church in their city. They shared this story and the vision in their hearts for these people with their church. Again, the church excitedly supported them by holding fundraisers week after week. The money raised was enough to buy ten acres of land so they could build Las Maderas its very own church. They hired locals to help with the project and provided them with food and clothes. The people were thrilled to be a part and were touched by the generosity of Ambassadors to the Nations. The church was packed on opening Sunday, and hundreds of people gave their hearts to Jesus! As Gods provision continued, they built two Christian schools, a general store, a medical clinic, a home for the pastor, a water tower, and a playground. They also established feeding programs for the school children and employment opportunities for the residents of Las Maderas.
