Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students should be able to: Complete a stanza of alphabet poem about their friends by using suitable adjectives and words. Recite the poem that they have created with correct intonation that has been taught by the teacher

Educational emphases: Thinking skills (Stimulating students to think of creative phrases starting with the required alphabet in introducing their friends) Moral values: Getting to know each other: Students learn about their friends life and things that they like. Giving positive comments: Students introduce their friends using positive characteristics that they have.

Previous knowledge: Students have learned simple adjectives to describe other people. Anticipated problems: Students have limited words that are suitable to describe their friends using the required alphabet.

Teaching learning activity Teacher tells students that they are going to learn different types of poem starting from this week. Teacher writes a word with jumbled-up letters and asks students to guess the answer which is the type of poem that they are going to learn on that day. Teacher recites a short alphabet poem as an example for students. Teacher asks students to repeat after her to get the correct intonation of reciting a poem. Teacher discusses with students the characteristics of the poem and its content. Teacher asks students to copy down the poem in their literature book.
