A thematic approach

performance of dif ferent scenes selected from a variety of mask traditions; lighting design for a mask piece; making masks for a production ensemble work: theatre games, trust exercises and group work.

Students make masks under the guidance of me. Students all ready learnt the greek mask and its function. Here they try to explore Comedia dellArte, Kabuki masks in their research. Small piece of performance will be done with Commedia dellArte masks.

There are many games which demands more than five students

to enjoy and explore the aim of the games. That is how I am keeping this class with hobby class of any grade between 9th to 12th standard. Regular class performance techniques: mime, movement of characters, vocal techniques and role-play acting techniques and characterization: presentation of scenes, improvisations. 5 hours

Here, Already I finished about realistic acting, Stanislavisky technique for realistic acting. We did some improvisation exercises also. So, I will be revising the above topics and include the acting syles.

World Theatre Studies

Discussion on Theatre of oppressed, Poor theatre, Theatre of Cruelty, Biomechanics of Meyerhold, Symbolism, Realism, Naturalism, Existentialism , early modern theatre movement

and other popular theatre traditions like contemporary theatre and 20th century theatre movements. the ability to research and analyse theatrical traditions other than their own, An understanding and appreciation of the diversity of theatre practices throughout the world Practical Play Analysis Understand different structure of drama. Understand play texts in relation to dramatic theory and historical context analyse and interpret texts from the viewpoint of theatre production. Analyse and record in a cogent and organised way the processes of practical work and evaluate the success of practical projects undertaken. Here, students will make notes on their role in the production. For example, If someone takes costume design, he prepares his approach in costume design.

Extra Activities other than regular class by IBTA students: 1. 5 hours children theatre workshop: IBTA students will conduct theatre workshop for students of grade V under guidance of me. Here IBTA students will plan the workshop with games which they play in my class. 2. Each student will find three new drama terms for each class.
