As you naturally progress within a career, I thought it would be sensible to continue to advance my formal education. Therefore a Masters degree was a logical step. The Master of Applied Finance course stood out to be best suited to my career aspirations, because it offered direct subjects from a banking context; including lending, credit risk and treasury management. I was also able to select subjects, which meant I could specialise in particular areas and gain specific skills.

Banking and finance has always fascinated me, new rules and regulations, takeovers, mergers and management changes, the process through which savings are channelled into productive activities, all these activities always intrigued me. So it was a natural next step to build on my undergraduate studies with a Masters degree. Undertaking a masters degree really tests you and prepares you to be able to put yourself in any situation and come out with success. I believe that my degree has provided me with the skills to see the big picture.
