Introduction
The Performance Management System envisages evaluation of Technical/Functional competencies of the executive annually. This document is to be used as a reference directory to identify competencies required for the effective discharge of various roles and functions within a plant/project. At the beginning of the assessment year during the Performance Planning phase, the executive and the reporting officer should refer to this document to identify functional/technical most relevant to the executives position .

M6 & above(TSC) 1) Knowledge of Project (Substation / Line) Construction, Erection and Commissioning 2) Knowledge of Statutory requirements for construction of transmission lines and substations and process of approval of proposals by regulatory authorities 3) Knowledge of quality assurance standards and procedures in project construction, erection and commissioning 4) Knowledge of erection, commissioning and project management 5) Knowledge of trends in environmental norms, R&R and safety 6) Knowledge of modern construction and erection methods/techniques 7) Awareness of suppliers of material and services for erection for switch yard 8) Knowledge of safety requirements for electrical erection jobs 9) Knowledge of labor laws 10) Knowledge on contract & procurement manual of DVC 11) Knowledge about procedures of land acquisition for substation or line corridor 12) Capability for proper interaction with government authorities to resolve various issues pertaining to running projects 13) Knowledge of HR (including latest initiatives) 14) Knowledge of DFP 15) Knowledge of DVCs vigilance policies and procedur es M5 (TSC) 1) Technical overview of substation equipment , layouts, transmission line design and route profiles 2) Knowledge of general engineering concepts related to construction projects

3) Knowledge of government guidelines and regulations for project construction 4) Knowledge about tools & tackles used for erection of structures & electrical equipment and modern techniques used in construction 5) Knowledge about process of obtaining statutory approvals from concerned authorities 6) Knowledge of construction, erection, sequence of commissioning of equipments and project/construction management 7) Knowledge of quality assurance standards and procedures in project construction, erection and commissioning 8) Knowledge of IT based project management systems and IT-enabled packages to track project progress 9) Knowledge of trends in environmental norms, R&R and safety 10) Knowledge of safety requirements for electrical erection jobs 11) Ability to coordinate with other wings / departments for sharing and collection of information, monitoring activities and resolution of issues 12) Knowledge of I.E. rules and I.E.
