Main Themes
The Old Testaments points forward to Jesus, in whom all Gods purposes are
fulfilled

Jesus both fulfills and transforms the law God gave to Israel through Moses
The people of God some the coming of Christ, are those who response to the
message of Jesus.

In the second coming, the kingdom of God will be displayed in full triumph. All will know
His royal statue all creation will submit to his power, and He will emerge as the
figurehead of all things.

Holy city becomes site of the crucifixion of the Messiah

Central longing of humanity central gift of Jesus
Shalom wholeness and well-being, sometimes prosperity and safety
Only God and grant true people peace, such peace leads to joy which results in
perseverance, character, and hpe
Jesus tries to reassure his worried followers they receive it in the resurrection
