OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE Project 58

Your donations helped a Word of Life single mother with some home expenses after she lost some hours at her job and fell behind on bills.

. Operation Helping Hands

Volunteers needed to assist a WOLC widow with some home repairs. Plumbing, painting, and basic repair knowledge are helpful but not necessary. Sign up in the foyer or call Megan Taylor at the church office.

. Donate Your Unneeded Vehicle

Hey, heres a thought coming into the 4th quarter of 2013. If you have a vehicle you dont need that has a clear title - like a car, truck, boat, motorcycle, or RV - why not donate it to Word of Life Church? Your donation will be sold to raise money to help fund the work of the church, and youll get a gift letter for the sale amount. Just contact the church office at 816-233-6367 for more information about this great way to help our church.

EVENTS Daylight Saving Time - Fall Back THIS Sunday, November 3

Daylight Saving Time ends this Sunday, November 3rd at 2 AM. So, on Saturday night, November 2nd, before you go to bed, set your clocks back one hour - so you can be on time for church Sunday morning!

Almighty and merciful God, it is only by your gift that your faithful people offer you true and laudable service: Grant that we may run without stumbling to obtain your heavenly promises; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Were all praying and seeking God about how to give on November 3. We will all give with faithfilled generosity. It is time to get excited about our 32nd anniversary! Lets give BIG.

. Celebrate Recovery
THIS Wednesday, November 6 5:30 PM in The Life Center
Join us at 5:30 PM for our monthly fellowship meal. Then at 6:30 PM, well have a large group discussion followed by small group breakout sessions. Celebrate Recovery is a safe place of support for people with all types of life issues such as domestic violence, divorce, codependency, anger, sexual addictions, eating disorders, gambling, past or current physical or sexual abuse issues, and more. Celebrate Recovery is a house of friends, a healing community, and help as we encourage one another on the road to recovery.

Tree Lighting
Friday, November 29
Mark your calendars for this great Thanksgiving service, which will include a time of extended praise and worship music from the Word of Life worship team, plus a beautiful communion service. After church, well gather in the Circle Drive for the lighting of our traditional Christmas tree, as we enjoy Christmas carols, hot chocolate, and cookies for everyone.

Weve planned plenty of excitement this November for anyone fifty and up! Join the Circle of Friends Group for these events. Birthday Breakfast Thurs., November 14 Anyone having a birthday in November is invited to celebrate together at breakfast! 9 AM at Bob Evans on the North Belt Highway in St. Joseph. Planetarium Tour Thurs., November 21 We will tour the MWSU Bushman Planetarium and see the earth's oceans show. Meet on campus by 10:45 AM at Agenstein Hall-room 147. (4525 Downs Dr. in St. Joseph) Cost is just $5. Fellowship Lunch Thurs., November 21 A fellowship luncheon follows at noon at Le Mesa Restaurant. (2715 North Belt Highway in St. Joseph) Cost is on your own. Mark your calendars and join us!

Christmas Concert

Mark your calendars for the annual Christmas Concert! This concert has established itself as one of Northwest Missouris cant-miss Christmas events. Admission is free, and this years concert will feature captivating vocal music by the Word of Life Christmas Choir, a whimsical holiday set from St. Joseph favorites The Center State, and a showstopping program from the Word of Life worship band. Grab a stack of invitations at the welcome center to use when inviting friends & family!

Sunday Mornings at 9 & 11 Friday Nights at 7 in the MYC Wednesday Prayer & Communion at noon in The Upper Room Communion is served every Sunday. The next Baptism is January 19. The next New Member Sunday is January 12.
