Tribal Rule
A government in which the adults of a community share their different ideas with the leader, but a council of elders OR a chief makes the nal decision. Today, many Native American reservations in the USA use this type of government.

Oligarchy
South Africa

leaders, all of whom share a belief about how the country should be governed, make all the decisions and do not allow protests against their decisions. South Africa was an oligarchy until 1994 due to its policy of apartheid.

Democracy
DIRECT DEMOCRACY:
A government in which all adults can share their ideas and vote. Today, some small towns, such as Lakeville, Massachusetts, or certain cantons in Switzerland have this form of government.

REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY:
A government in which the people vote for leaders who will represent the voter by making decisions that the voters like if the leaders make many decisions that the voters dont like, the voters dont re-elect that leader. Today, the United States of America has a representative government.
Red means the countries are not Green means the considered free. countries are considered free.
Constitutional Monarchy
A government which has a King or Queen, but the monarch has very limited power. Most of the real government leaders are elected by the people. Some of the real government leaders are appointed by the monarch or by the members of Parliament. Today, the United Kingdom has this a Constitutional Monarchy and a Parliamentary system of government.
