NOW ITS YOUR TURN!

Add to these examples: Stay informed and vote know the ideas and opinions of your leaders so that you know whom to elect, so that you dont give power to a dictator. Respect others opinions or else become an oligarchy, dictatorship, or other type of government that doesnt allow disagreement. Respect the religious rights of others or else become a theocracy, a government that allows no choice of belief, religion or religious practice.

What do you think?

Democracy requires that citizens have certain responsibilities to maintain the government. Give one example of a citizen's responsibility, tell why it's important, and explain what may happen if citizens DON'T live up to that responsibility. A citizen's responsibility:

Why is it important?

What might happen if citizens DON'T keep that responsibility?
