CAT 2013 Day 11 Analysis: Easy Quant & Verbal Section Oct 29 Yesterday was the day 11 of CAT

2013 exam.The first session for Day 1, on October 29, got over this afternoon at 1.00 PM. As per the students feedback, CAT 2013 first session was very easy in all the sections. As per Promteric, An error has been detected in one question, in a DI item, during the morning exam of Oct 28th. While the error is small and limited in scope, we are taking every precaution to ensure a fair testing process for all candidates. This single question publishing error impacts 2.5% of candidates. We are taking remedial actions to ensure a fair score for all candidates. CAT Exam day 11 First session: Sonali at Noida test centre said, I was expecting a tough paper but I got a very easy CAT paper. Quant and Verbal section was below average in difficulty level. Even DI and LR were not too tough for me. One of the test takers of CAT 2013 exam in Greater Noida, Akash said, DI and LR were very easy. Only RC passages were a bit tricky otherwise my paper was fine. Let us have a look at the question types in the sections: Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation: Average difficulty level The Quantitative Ability area had maximum questions from Algebra, functions and Number system. Rests of the questions were from other usual topics such as Arithmetic, Trigonometry,Mensuration, Time Speed & Distance, Geometry, etc. Difficulty level was below average. Data Interpretation area saw questions on Pie Chart and bar diagram. DI was very easy as per the first session students feedback. Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning: Easy but tricky The Verbal Ability questions were termed as easy by the candidates except the RC passages. Verbal Section covered questions from all topics like Para Jumble, Vocabulary, Error correction in paragraph, identifying the Out of Context sentences. Passages were in between 600-650 words and were based on philosophy and general topics. As per the students, one of the passages was tricky to understand. Fill in the blanks was missing from few students question set in Verbal section. The Logical reasoning questions in CAT 2013 Day 11 were termed as easy by students.

Questions sets were based on sequencing, blood relations and circular arrangements. CAT 2013 Results: CAT 2013 result is scheduled to be announced on Tuesday, January 14, 2014. The CAT 2013 result score card will be valid between January 14, 2014 and December 31, 2014. Source : MBAUniverse.com
