Event Red Scare of 1920

When was this? Development started in 1917, as the communists defeated the royal Russians and killed or executed them in the same timeframe.

What was it? During the timeframe of 1917-1920s, it was the widespread fear of communism (anticommunism). In June 1919, the social class decided to bomb eight of the figurehead buildings. Although they violated the Espionage Act of 1917, which stated that the people wouldnt interfere with any US warfare, in my opinion, people wanted to fight back for freedom, most which were aliens of the US. I believe you can have a say against anything, due to the aid of the first amendment, which stated you have the freedom of speech, as long as it was justified.

Where was it? The Red Scare of 1920 happened in the US after Russia (Red) decided to become communist in the situation.

Who was involved? Development started in the US, in terms of socialist members went on strike in outrage of the US, nut also started by Russia, who decided to become one of the Reds. (The case of Vanzetti and Sacco) The two guys were Italian/ Americans who were accused of a murder during a robbery, and this happened during the Red Scare Era, so the odds were against them. Biased, they were thrown in jail but a couple of weeks later were sentenced to death without a retrial. As the timeline develops, a man confesses that he and another group did it. It just shows how Vanzetti and Sacco were unfairly executed, which angered the social and industrial class of the US.

Why did it happen? The Reds just decided to become communist so the US did something but it wasnt enough. The social class strikes in fear of the US becoming a communist party but never happens. The US political party stated that they were violating the Espionage Act of 1917, but the social working class was aided by the first amendment.

The Great Migration

1910-1970

The migration of African Americans from

The South to The North of the US.

Anyone who migrated to the

African Americans just wanted to be

the South to the North to start a better/new life or to escape the black codes or segregation/judgmental freedom/ or just gain equal rights for both men and women.

North was involved. One thing that slowed down this Great Migration is the underground ongoing works of the KKK even though they were wiped. In the timeframe, The practice of Jim Crow laws were still ongoing but started to fade out as the Great Migration went along.

able to live in an environment that had fair working conditions, fair government, fair rights, and equality (although that wasnt 100% granted).

The revival of the KKK of 1920

Re-sprung in 1924

The essentiality that the Whites had to govern their rights blocking out the African Americans (targeted race) rights that disapproved of nativism and supported Jim Crow Laws.

Started in what is now Atlanta, GA.

Anti-nativists, The Whites, White Americans.

The KKK felt like the African Americans were stealing rights that balance the classes and if they were given rights then it would be chaotic. So their belief was if they scared/bullied them then itll show them sense of fear.
