When there is necessary that an aircraft guide a vessel to the location of the distress, the aircraft may transmit its instruction by whatever means available. If it is not possible to transmit the exact instructions for any reason, the aircraft may take the following maneuvers to have the vessel understand that it wishes to guide it to an aircraft or vessel in distress. 1. Fly in a circle or at least circle about the vessel 2. AT low altitude, fly across the course of the vessel, ahead of the bow and at the same time do the following: a. oscillate the aircraft wings ; or b. increase or decrease power on the engine; or c. vary the spin of the propellers 3. Head in the course the vessel should follow.
