INTRODUCTION
"Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them
that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but
even their mind and conscience is defiled" (Titus 1:15).
"But that on the good ground are they, which in
an honest and good heart, having heard the word,
keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience. No man,
when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with aves-
sel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candle-
stick, that they which enter in may see the light. For
nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; nei-
ther any thing hid, that shall not be known and come
abroad. Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whoso-
ever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath
not, from him shall be taken even that which he
seemeth to have" (Luke 8:15-18).
Every individual has the possibility of living a
happy life filled with poise, peace and consistency.
We all have the potential ability to wait upon God
without becoming anxious. This lifestyle carries with
it no emotional problems, mood swings, insecurity,
fear or guilt. There is no need for counseling, no drive
to go back to drinking or drugs, and no lusting after
the opposite sex. How is this possible? In the follow-
9
CHANNELS OF THINKING
ing pages, you will discover God's provision for our
lives as we face Satan's government and its daily
impact on our lives. The heart is the central influence
of the Christian life. We constantly receive stimula-
tions which produce effects upon the heart. How we
receive these stimulations results in a heart that is
deceitful (Jeremiah 17:9) or a heart that is pure (Psalm
51:10) and undivided toward God (Psalm 86:8). Many
Christians don't understand the process that pro-
duces a transformed heart. This booklet explains how
this transforming process takes place.
Words in bold are defined in the glossary.
10
CHAPTER ONE
THE HEARING HEART
The heart is the seat of all intelligence, the seat of
self-essence, or individual characteristics. The heart is
the seat of all motivations and all methodicat pro-
gressive thinking and responding. The entire process
and operation of human life prevails in the heart. Our
emotions must derive their capacity from the heart.
They have no capacity at all except to determine what
the heart feeds them. The heart can be thought of con-
sisting of three channels. We will call these channels
A, B, and C. Channel A contains the heart's focusing
power and instruments of communication. Here the
conscience is formed according to training, informa-
tion, education and human experience. Channel A
has a lexicon, a vocabulary and a memory. This is the
area of perception where information is processed for
future decisions which ultimately determine a per-
son's self-essence.
Channel B is where the human spirit functions
(Proverbs 20:27, Job 32:8, Job 33:4, Acts 19:21). God
11
CHANNELS OF THINKING
quickens the human spirit at the moment of salva-
tion. The regenerated spirit experiences fellowship
with God by appropriating the Word of God and
being filled with the Holy Spirit. The human spirit
ends up becoming a storehouse of the Word of God
and the holder of divine truth. In order for the infor-
mation to pass from Channel A to Channel B, it must
first be processed through the Cross. The Cross is the
point of reference where everything is evaluated by
the fact that Christ died for me and I am a new crea-
ture in Him. If information from Channel A does not
pass through the Cross, it never enters Channel Band
truth will never be appropriated. When Channel B is
not functioning, a person will be aware of truth and
have information and stimulation and wisdom from
below, but he will not have the viewpoint of God.
Channel C represents the soul. Channel C
receives and believes everything that Channel A
transmits. If Channel B does not intercept these trans-
missions and process them through the human spirit,
Channel C will not rest until all the transmissions-
whether true or false- have been realized.
Is it any wonder that the writer of Proverbs says,
"Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the
issues of life" (Proverbs 4:23). "Keep" here means
11
tO
guard." This refers to a kind of action. It refers to
action that has happened in the past and is opera-
tional in the present.
The Role of the Conscience
The conscience is in Channel C. It is part of a per-
12
THE HEARING HEART
son's soul structure, which is composed of mind,
emotions, conscience, self-consciousness and volition.
Channel C has a memory and a vocabulary. It deter-
mines your self-image, measures guilt, fear or happi-
ness experienced by your soul. Your experience
directs the responses of the conscience.
We have received many calls and letters from
people who have been molested, raped or abused
mentally or physically. These experiences entered
Channel A and rushed into the memory of their con-
science without being intercepted by the human spirit
in Channel B. Their abuse began to determine the value
they placed upon themselves and others. Through
their experience they formed a negative vocabulary.
When the Gospel was presented to them and they
received Christ, they were aware of forgiveness. They
perceived cleansing from God in a positional way,
but the experience of molestation or abuse remained
in the conscience. Because the human spirit was not
active, categories in the Word of God could not con-
vert their self-essence in the soul. Fear, pain, sorrow
and guilt remained, causing some to turn to drugs or
liquor. Others entered into self-condemnation. Those
with high IQs responded to the challenges of life, but
never lost their poor self-image.
There are many people like this in Christianity.
They are saved and go to church, but live in a partial
victory for years. Because their conscience has never
been dealt with, they do not experience a new
process in their hearts.
13
CHANNELS OF THINKING
Curses in the Soul
We recently counseled a young man whose brother
had molested and beaten him, then shot himself. This
man's conscience was filled with memories of his
abuse, and his soul became infected. Lamentations
3:63-66 describes this as a condition in which "the
heart begins to curse the soul." It curses who you are in
your self-image. When the heart is filled with unhap-
piness, the emotions have no capacity to receive truth.
Striving to live up to someone else's Christianity, the
emotions fail. They may try works or a number of
other things. But that experience is in the memory of
the conscience and the mentality of the soul takes on
that ever-living Although it is suppressed
in the subjective part of the mind, the effects remain.
Once hidden, a man may try many adventures to for-
get, but the experience remains locked in the self-
essence.
Jesus tells us that "as [a man] thinketh in his
heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7). This refers not only to
the conscious part of the mind by which the heart
produces a process of thinking, but also to the uncon-
scious mind with its undefinable stimulation process
and mentality.
Counselors try to address this problem by using
wisdom from below in an attempt to change it.
Education and other avenues are taken to produce
change. For a time, the stimulation does make a dif-
ference, but it never changes the heart. Although a
man may rush into works and human good, his heart
14
THE HEARING HEART
remains the same. When he goes to bed, the problem
is still a part of his self-image. There are people who
have had secret affairs. Others have been involved in
lesbian acts or homosexuality, and there is something
locked into their subjective mind. It's deep in their
memory, and no matter how liberal they become,
they cannot rid themselves of this poor self-image
because God didn't design them to be immoral or
perverted. He designed them to be healthy and well
and free.
The Effect of the Word
Man's soul is illuminated when the Word of God
is preached. As the glorious Gospel brings forgive-
ness and salvation, it ushers in the Holy Spirit, who
begins to bring the things of Jesus to a person's mind
through the heart by way of the human spirit. Then a
man begins to confess his sin because the Word of
God is quick and powerful. He is forgiven because
Jesus Christ bore that sin upon His body at Calvary.
One moment the man is aware of truth, and the next
he mixes faith in Jesus Christ. As he mixes faith with
what he has heard, that truth enters the human spirit,
goes into the heart, which becomes new, and begins
to motivate and energize. His heart becomes the seat
of God's viewpoint, His process of operating in grace.
Truth enters the memory of his new heart, and the
Holy Spirit takes what the person has been taught
from this memory center and places it in his heart to
control the mentality of the soul - mind, emotions,
15
CHANNELS OF THINKING
volition, consciousness and self-consciousness.
A man hears that God loves him. He perceives it,
he's aware of it, and he mixes faith with it. Oh, how
he needs to know that! Then the Holy Spirit brings in
the character and the power of that love through his
human spirit, and it goes down into his heart. Loving
himself now becomes the very motive of his self-
essence. His frame of reference, through grace, mercy
and love, becomes the Word of God instead of his
experience. There is no more condemnation because
the blood of Jesus Christ has entered the conscience.
With a cleansed and purged conscience (Hebrews
9:14), he begins to draw from a new experience. His
vocabulary becomes one of praise and faith toward
God and faith in the promises for the future. This is
what happened to the man mentioned above. He was
totally healed from a cursed conscience.
This goes way beyond theology. It is indeed a liv-
ing relationship with Jesus Christ, who has made the
soul alive. Through a new covenant, in a new crea-
tion and in a new dimension of human experience,
the individual begins to experience abundant life in
his heart, which controls his mind. "He shall not be
afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the
Lord" (Psalm 112:7). Totally new and established in
his heart, this person is able to wait upon God "until
he see his desire upon his enemies" (Psalm 112:8b).
With new motives, a new memory, and a point and
frame of reference that are brand new, he begins to
think with God in grace.
Is it any wonder that Psalm 19:7, in the original
16
THE HEARING HEART
Hebrew, says that the doctrine of God is perfect, mak-
ing the man whole? Doctrine converts the soul and
makes a man's self-essence whole, causing him to
relax and his heart to rejoice.
When the heart is fixed, there is no longer a need
to sublimate with drugs, which affect the chemicals
of the body. Drugs defile the emotions, but the heart
feeds them. Instead of creating a need for more chemi-
cal stimulation and support for problems, the heart
becomes a supply for the emotions. As a person's emo-
tions begin to respond to and appreciate the heart's
supply, they sing and praise God. He begins to feel
joyful and realize his healing as he thinks with God.
Once God has cleansed you, He desires that you
continue to receive categories from His Word and
allow them to enter your human spirit, in Channel B.
Allow doctrine after doctrine to be communicated to
your memory center. God promises that the Holy
Spirit will bring to your mind everything you have
allowed Him to objectively teach you.
I have a letter from a woman whose husband beat
her continually. She prayed and wept and trusted
God. One night her husband responded to a message
on the prodigal son and came forward to receive
Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit entered Channel A, and
the man began to hear that God died for sinners; that
Jesus Christ loved him and paid for that vile, wicked,
consistent habit of beating his wife; that the Blood of
Jesus Christ was shed on his behalf. This man mixed
faith with what he heard and the Holy Spirit took the
good news and established new life within him. This
17
CHANNELS OF THINKING
man's human spirit was raised and his heart became
brand new with God. Today the woman would tell
you, "He's a model husband. I'd put him up against
anyone in the world." Why? This man has a new
heart controlling the mentality of his soul. His emo-
tions are quiet and calm. He has a capacity for the
Word of God, for prayer, faith, soulwinning, missions
and the Body. Now he can forgive because the mind
of Jesus entered his heart and gave him a new mind.
God's answer for every person's problem is not a
different counselor. It isn't a course on wisdom from
below, with God tucked in at the end. God's answer
is not a self-help program. What we must do is come
to grips with Jesus Christ and say to Him, "You created
me. You died for me. You love me. Your Word is pure.
It's forever settled in heaven. Heaven and earth will
pass away, but your Word will never pass away. It's
quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged
sword, and it alone can pierce my joints and marrow
and soul and spirit and become a wonderful motivat-
ing critic of my very heart." The Psalmist said "Your
Word is pure, ever illuminating my perceptions (my
eyes)."
The one who made you can give you a brand new
reflection of your nature and a brand new reflection
of the Holy Spirit revealing Christ. "He shall glorify
me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it
unto you" (John 16:14). It is a beautiful thing to be led
by the Holy Spirit as He shows you the Finished
Work through a glorified Christ. These things are
yours (Romans 8;14, 15) and they become a very part
18
THE HEARING HEART
of your essence (Mark 4:20).
This new essence is spoken about in Luke 8:15:
"But that on the good ground are they, which in an
honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep
it, and bring forth fruit with patience." "Honest"
means "something that has been beautified by God;
something that has been made so whole that it is trans-
parent and beautiful in God's eyes- it is the new
heart." "Good" (AGATHOS in the Greek) means
"upper righteousness." The man who listens in this
manner has been given a brand new heart of integrity
because God is the content of his thinking. He has
been given a derived righteousness and a derived
life, and he //bring[s] forth fruit with patience."
Consider the woman who was confronted with a
problem in her marriage and brought forth the fruit
of God with patience. She treasured the privilege and
potential of her marriage. She was able to wait until
God worked in her husband. This woman revealed
Christ to him, although he didn't deserve it. She loved
mercy, loved God, loved herself, and she loved her
husband. It wasn't something that she did out of
self-effort. It was something being produced in her-
a brand new, ever refreshed heart. This woman had a
derivation of life which controlled her mind and fed
her emotions and conscience and was revealed in a
vocabulary of grace. Her memory was composed of
what Christ does, can do, and has done for her. She's
ever feasting and meditating upon it, and her hus-
band gives her opportunities to put it into practice.
This woman can see how her living faith works as
19
CHANNELS OF THINKING
she totally trusts in God.
On the other hand, Luke 8:16 expresses what a
woman does when she argues and fights, "No man,
when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with aves-
sel, or putteth it under a bed ... " Regardless of whose
fault it is, she takes that precious life, that precious
provision that God has given her and puts it under a
bushel. Instead of taking advantage of the brand new
privilege of theantric action - God's nature combin-
ing with and using her nature to bring in a govern-
ment from above - she rolls up her sleeves and tells
her husband off. That's not what God intended.
Put your lamp on a hill so it shines in every direc-
tion, including toward those who hurt you. You have
a purpose that is eternal. The heart that reflects its
eternal purpose will begin to rejoice. This means that
your thoughts, your capacity through your emotions,
memory, meditation, reflections and vocabulary will
be based upon a new living experience, a derivation
of life through perception and awareness in the con-
science.
What does Proverbs 23:26 mean when it says,
"My son, give me thine heart." The Father was crying
out for the heart. He knew that if it were given to
Him, He would fix it, change it, transform it, make it
new and give it a new beginning. He would give it a
new frame of reference, point of reference, motive,
energy and power. There would be no condemnation,
no frame of reference to sin, to fear, to fall or experi-
ence guilt. Then the Blood enters the subjective realm
to clean up the involuntary, uneducated part of the
20
THE HEARING HEART
mind. It tells you "You're home. Jesus just came
through."
The Word of God makes it clear that it is in the
area of the heart that every single understanding of
grace is experienced. It is where mercy is realized,
love is enjoyed and the promises become real.
Commonly what happens is that Christians get
up in the morning and go to work. They are over-
whelmed with the cares of this life. The human spirit
stops functioning that day. They look at their finances.
They go to work and gaze on another man or woman.
The conscience does not receive the right reflections.
Then the devil sends projections. Because the old sin
nature has been given the opportunity to communi-
cate its subjective evaluations of the situation, the
mouth confesses what the person is experiencing.
Yes, they are Christians, but they are beginning to
experience the cosmos system of the world. Instead
of thinking with God, they think with Satan's world
system, need Satan's people, and are not happy. They
look for shortcuts. They do not want co-crucifixion.
At this point, God says, "I would have you to
draw near. Come to me as you are and allow me to
fill you and revive your heart. Through meekness
and humility the Word will quicken your heart and
spirit. Just come. Come in that condition and the
Word will renew your heart in a moment of time. You
will be able to live according to the Word in divine
viewpoint and your conscience will bring in grace. By
the miracle of grace through faith you will experience
newness of life. Do not tarry. Come, and guard your
21
CHANNELS OF THINKING
heart" (Isaiah 57:15).
Three people were very close to suicide. One
heard the message "He Looked Beyond My Faults
and Saw My Need," and came to God in tears instead
of taking his life. Another listened to the message
entitled "Mercy Rejoices Against Judgment." He was
completely set free and is growing beautifully as he
continues in the message of mercy. The third, a
woman who drank, smoked pot and frequented bar-
rooms, heard "God Will Accept You Just As You
Are." "He loved you when you were a sinner. He died
for you and He loves you," I said in that message.
"I'm not asking you to do anything but to receive His
love and respond to Him," I said, and she did.
What happened to all three? The message became
a part of their essence. They began to understand in
their hearts. As they dug up information, they medi-
tated upon it, received it and applied its true meaning.
As the woman told me, "For some people it's other
help groups. For me, it's the Word of God." Like these
people, we must trust God to supernaturally change
our hearts in relationships, marriages, families,
finances and the hindrances of life.
22
CHAPTER TWO
A DIVINE FINISHED WORK PROCESS
"The sower sows the Word. The ones along the
path are those who have the Word sown [in their
hearts], but when they hear, Satan comes at once and
(by force) takes away the message which is sown in
them" (Mark 4:14, 15, Amplified). This describes
Satan, with supernatural force taking away the mes-
sage which was sown in the heart. The heart, located
in Channel A, relates to experiences and may respond
to projections. Satan doesn't want truth to leave
Channel A and be communicated to the human spirit
in Channel B. He certainly doesn't want that truth to
reach Channel C, where it would become part of your
soul structure, composed of mind, emotions, con-
science, wilt volition and capacity for the grace of God.
"And in the same way the ones sown upon stony
ground are those who, when they hear the Word, at
once receive and accept and welcome it with joy; And
they have no real root in themselves, so they endure
23
CHANNELS OF THINKING
for a little while, then when trouble or persecution
arises on account of the Word, they immediately are
offended-become displeased, indignant, resentful;
and they stumble and fall away" (Mark 4:16, 17,
Amplified). These are also listeners who never go
beyond Channel A. In verses 18, and 19, " ... the ones
sown among the thorns are others who hear the
Word, then the cares and anxieties of the world, and
distractions of the age," (the rent, the child's sickness,
the car, taxes, etc.) "and the pleasure and delight and
false glamour and deceitfulness of riches, and the
craving and passionate desire for other things creep
in and choke and suffocate the Word, and it becomes
fruitless." In this case, the Word never functions in
their lives.
Verse 20 speaks of those who allow the Word to
enter Channel B first, then Channel C: "And those
that were sown on the good (well-adapted) soil are
the ones who hear the Word and receive and accept
and welcome it and bear fruit, some thirty times as
much as was sown, some sixty times as much, and
some [even] a hundred times as much." These hearers
reproduce the Word in their human bodies, producing
fruit.
One of the most relevant verses in the Greek text
is Luke 8:18: "Be careful therefore how you listen, for
to him who has [spiritual knowledge] will more be
given, and from him who does not have [spiritual
knowledge] even what he thinks and guesses and sup-
poses that he has will be taken away" (Amplified).
All that is in Channel A is the haphazard awareness
24
A DIVINE FINISHED WORK PROCESS
of presumptions which do not provide the power for
real solutions to problems. Consequently, when you
are confronted with details of life, you don't have the
resources to function in a divine process. This is the
state of millions of Christians today. That is what
happened to the disciples. They forsook Jesus at
Calvary because they were receiving only in Channel
A. Most teenagers, with a few exceptions, are Chan-
nel A listeners. It doesn't have to be that way.
A child of God can go through anything and func-
tion in Channels B and C. He studied God's Word for
a specific season in his life and received what he did
from the Word of God for the specific situation he
now faces. Marriage provides an example of this prin-
ciple. A man does not have to be barren in his rela-
tionship with his wife. If he has no fellowship with
her, he has not allowed the doctrine of marriage to be
processed by the human spirit, through the cross. This
man is living in Channel A in the realm of marriage.
"Therefore, while the promise of entering His rest
still holds and is offered [today], let us be afraid [to
distrust it], lest any of you should think he has come
too late and has come short of [reaching] it. For
indeed we have had the glad tidings [of God] pro-
claimed to us just as truly as they [the Israelites of old
did when the good news of deliverance from bon-
dage came to them]; but the message they heard did
not benefit them ... "(Hebrews 4:1, 2, Amplified).
These Channel A listeners heard clearly, but themes-
sage did not benefit them "because it was not mixed
with faith [that is, with the leaning of the entire per-
25
CHANNELS OF THINKING
sonality on God in absolute trust and confidence in
His power, wisdom and goodness] by those who
heard it; neither were they united in faith with"
Yahweh, as "[Joshua and Caleb] the ones who heard
[did believe]."
There are many unusual mental and emotional
difficulties in human life. Perhaps the greatest sur-
prise to people is to hear truth, believe it, and not
experience the life of that truth. One must realize that
the unsaved person does not have a human spirit
functioning. He receives information in Channel A,
and it is transferred directly to Channel C. The
human spirit, found in Channel B, is the God-con-
scious part of man's essence. A Christian who cannot
receive victory tries to be sincere in appropriating
truth, but that truth is not quickening his human spirit.
He goes from Channel A to Channel C, bypassing
Channel B. He then lives in moods, frustration, defeat
and failure. This Christian communicates a vocabu-
lary that is regulated by his essence, his experiences,
impressions of sight and the feelings of his soul.
An Incomprehensible Opportunity
Through a divine process God has given every
Christian the most amazing privilege known to the
human race. The Christian does not have to merit
anything, no matter what his condition is. All he
must do is hear properly and receive properly
because he believes properly. He must adjust to
God's viewpoint. A Christian is always under grace.
26
A DIVINE FINISHED WORK PROCESS
God's divine process is completely a grace process.
Paul said in 1 Corinthians 2:7,8, "we speak the
wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wis-
dom which God ordained before the world unto our
glory; which none of the princes of this world knew:
for had they known it, they would not have crucified
the Lord of glory." In verses 9-12, " ... Eye hath not
seen/' (Channel A), "nor ear heard, neither have
entered into the heart of man, the things which God
hath prepared for them that love Him. But God hath
revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit
searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For
what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit
of man which is in him? even so the things of God
knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have
received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit
which is of God; that we might know the things that
are freely given to us of God." Verses 14, 15, "But the
natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of
God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he
know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
But he that is spiritual judgeth all things ... "
The spiritual man knows all things. What a state-
ment inspired by the Holy Spirit. Everything he
needs to know for the situation is revealed to the spir-
itual man by the Spirit of God (John 16:14) and
brought to his memory (John 14:26) as he has been
objectively taught. Yet the spiritual man cannot be
judged by the soulish man, because the spiritual man
has the mind of Christ. He lives in a divine process.
He has great understanding and he continues to seek
27
CHANNELS OF THINKING
categorical doctrine-the mind of Christ, information
classified categorically-through which the Holy
Spirit enters his conscience. This forms a new lexicon
and a new vocabulary. It provides the spiritual man
with a brand new experience. Finally, through a
process of grace, in which he does not merit any-
thing, he mixes faith with what he hears and it is
transferred to the human spirit.
Information is staged in Channel A, inhabits the
human spirit in Channel B, and is ready for Channel
C, the structure of the soul. When categories are
received daily through meekness and humility, they
become life. The Holy Spirit sheds the love of God
abroad in the heart, which is the seat of intelligence.
This creates a capacity for the emotions. In the heart
initiations, motivations, responses, decisions and
processes for all the operations of life are perpetuated
through the soul. The Spirit of God, which searches
all things, shows the individual those things that are
freely given to him by God. Then he knows every-
thing he has to know because of God's illumination
of his heart.
What has happened to the average soul in Channel
A, the area of the old conscience? Scarification, or
scratches in the surface of the feelings have occurred.
Because of deep scratches, the emotions have been
infected and have no ability to retain life or to develop
a capacity for the trials of life. Thus the molested
child, the victim of rape, the alcoholic, the drug
addict, the child who has been raised by screaming
parents, all have tremendous problems because their
28
A DIVINE FINISHED WORK PROCESS
emotions are functioning with the infections of
Channel A.
Channel A can become the staging area for defeat
as well as the staging area for victory. When the con-
science does not process information through the
human spirit, it can only reflect the negativity of life
through the emotions. Scarification takes over as the
emotions become negatively infected through the
projection and emulation of those negative signals.
No amount of counseling can transform a person in
this condition. They can be stimulated into hope, but
not inspired into change. While they may be stimu-
lated to have goals, they can not be transformed into
life. Satan comes in and forcefully removes from
Channel A truth which has been clearly heard and
received so that it will not be transferred to Channel
B, where it becomes yours forever. Then it can not be
implemented in Channel C, your soul structure, in
the details of life.
Transferring Truth
What gives the Christian the ability to transfer
truth so that it becomes a part of his essence and
liberates him through a provision of abundant life?
Ephesians 3:16 says that God will "grant you, accord-
ing to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with
might by his Spirit in the inner man." Where is the
inner man located? Not in Channel A, but in Channels
B and C. Paul prayed that the Christians at Ephesus
would understand this: "That Christ may dwell in
your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and
29
CHANNELS OF THINKING
grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with
all saints what is the breadth and length, and depth,
and height; and to know the love of Christ which pas-
seth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the
fullness of God"(verses 17-19). These verses speak of
the world of the human spirit, in which new illumi-
nations and revelations of objective truth are received
when needed. Then the Christian is "filled with all
the fullness of God" (verse 19b), and He "is able to do
exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think,
according to the power that worketh in us" (verse 20).
This is the most amazing privilege known to man.
It means that a Christian can experience more than
forgiveness, more than cleansing the conscience, n:ore
than victory and more than power. He can enter Into
the abundant life, which is life beyond the letter and
beyond theology. A Christian may have the very life of
Jesus Christ! The Christian is new in species, a brand
new man. Instead of living in the old creation of
Channel A, he now has the ability to have everything
that God is. A Channel A Christian perceives the new
creation, but cannot experience it. But a man who
functions in Channel B mixes faith with what he hears,
the transfer takes place, and he receives ability through
a process of grace. There is no merit in the system of
faith. This person simply says, "Oh, God says that?
Wonderful. It's mine." Response to the Word of God
pleases Him, and the Christian's human spirit be-
comes alive with classified information. Now he can
enjoy his new conscience, as well as a new lexicon,
new vocabulary of praise and a new memory center.

A DIVINE FINISHED WORK PROCESS
The Soul Structure
Consider the soul structure-the functioning of
the soul, who you are in life, the characteristics of
your self-essence, and your eternal purpose to reveal
God and be conformed to His image. Now your emo-
tions have received a brand new capacity for life.
Emotions appreciate life in the measure of their
response to the process of grace. If you fail seven
times in a day but name it and go on, you are called
"righteous" during the entire process. No process,
political, economic, or judicial, is like the divine
process of grace, in which there is no merit. As God
tells us in Isaiah 55:8, "my thoughts are not your
thoughts, neither are your ways my ways ... "
In a troubled marriage, one or both parties always
leave the divine process of reconciliation. They lose
the ability, which the process of grace gives them, to
be transformed into the new creation toward the
other party. Instead, they take on a process of relative
righteousness, or natural good, which analyzes what
one should be. When the other person falls short of
this analysis, they enter into frustration and cannot
handle pressure.
Contrast this with Psalm 34:18, which tells us
"The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken
heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit." No
matter what causes the heart to be crushed, the Lord
draws near and starts His divine process again. This
is a process with no condemnation. It doesn't ack-
nowledge scapegoats, unless it's a matter of dealing
31
CHANNELS OF THINKING
with people for the sake of accountability. This
process acknowledges Jesus Christ's Finished Work.
Jesus paid for every personal sin and gives us His
mind, cleansing our conscience and giving us a brand
new self-image and self-respect. The new life God
gives us is not simply existence, it is abundant living.
We are indeed more than conquerors and we are
caused to triumph. To those around us we become a
sweet smelling savor. For some, it is a savor unto life,
but to those who reject what is coming from our
heart, it is a savor unto death.
In Ephesians 3:16 there is a beautiful Greek word,
DIDOMAI, and it means "God gives the ability to
walk in the newness of life." God gives the ability,
and I don't have to merit a thing to acquire the power
to be transformed. EXUSIO is found in verse 17, and
this Greek word means, "a brand new capacity." This
capacity comes from the riches of His glory, and
the inner man, which is Christ's dwell-
ing. The word for dwelling is a Greek aorist active
infinitive, meaning "now you have a purpose with life
because Christ is dwelling in you with a purpose."
This word is in the active voice, which means that
Christ produces the action. The aorist tense expresses
that at a point of time you are ready to respond to a
system that doesn't require merit. You are under grace
and not law.
In Mark 4:24, Jesus says, "Take heed what ye
hear" -continually produce the action of being aware
of how you are hearing. He continues, "With what
measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you; and
32
A DIVINE FINISHED WORK PROCESS
unto you that hear shall more be given." When you
receive the Word in Channel B, and it is transferred to
Channel C, God will add more, because you are par-
ticipating in the process of grace. You have accepted
His system in faith perception. Verse 25 tells us, "For
he that hath, to him shall be given; and he that hath
not, from him shall be taken even that which he
hath." This means that in the measure that you do-not
respond to the grace process, He will take away what
you thought you had. Then, when you hear devastat-
ing news, you realize that you don't have what you
need for that situation. You never really possessed the
answer because the knowledge never entered your
human spirit to become a part of your self-essence.
Consequently, you don't have God's essence dwelling
in you with a purpose.
"Measure" is the key word in Mark 4:24. In the
measure that I receive the process of grace and in the
measure that I give it to the guilty, I will receive more
grace. I must remain in grace through God's love
shed abroad in my heart. But if I don't mete out the
grace I have received, the process stops, because I
have entered into relative righteousness, or natural
good. God will never take away my salv.ation or what
He has done for me, but He will not honor in my
choice to go against grace. At the Bema Seat I will be
judged according to the divine process of grace and
the meritless system of faith. If I measure out grace, it is
measured back to me. If I put my lamp under a bushel,
choking the Word with the cares of this life, material-
ism and the pleasures and distractions of the cosmos
33
CHANNELS OF THINKING
system, God will take away what I thought I had. You
may think that you are in the process because you can
quote Scripture. This is not the case. You are in the
grace process only when you can give God's life to the
guilty as freely as you have received it for yourself.
I must forgive and forget as God forgives and for-
gets. If I can remember what someone has done to me
last week, I am not in the divine process. It isn't a mat-
ter of time healing me, my times are in God's hands
(Psalm 31:15). I redeem the time (Ephesians 5:16) and
I am constantly filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18).
When I speak to myself in psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs, I make a melody in my heart-the
entire process of operation for life. In everything, I
give thanks to the Father .(Ephesians 5:20).
Relative Righteousness
Satan's cosmos system promotes a process of rela-
tive righteousness, in which I look for someone to say
"she did this to me. I need to be healed. Will you pray
for me? Is there somebody else I can talk to?"
Scratches enter the surface of the feelings and scarifi-
cation takes over. Deep roots begin to grow in the
emotions, forming the wrong lexicon and vocabulary,
the wrong experience and the wrong information.
What is the result? Adam's ability is promoted into
the soul while the human spirit lies dormant. Self-
essence lives in the relative righteousness of the Fall,
and the individual experiences the effects of human
depravity.
34
A DIVINE FINISHED WORK PROCESS
But Jesus Christ enters with a divine process and
says, "Now, would you just be still for a moment?
Will you be quiet? I love you. You are under grace. I
cannot remember your sins, I will never impute sin to
you. I see you as a brand new creation, accepted for-
ever, and I can't remember what people remember.
You're in the Lamb's Book of Life. You're complete in
me. You're seated above, and old things are passed
away, including last night and yesterday. All I want
to leave in your life is the fragrance of memory"
(Song of Solomon 3:6).
It seems too good to be true. When I mix faith
with what God says, I enter into His viewpoint and it
possesses me. I comprehend it and it becomes mine.
That is where my responsibility lies to enjoy my grace
victory. Mercy has not only taken away the cause, but
the effects as well, and peace becomes the state of
mind for my condition.
When a person fails, people discuss it with each
other because telling God isn't enough. Just about
everybody is guilty of this. Where is this found in the
Bible? Discussing someone' s failure violates Calvary's
covering. "He that covereth a transgression seeketh
love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very
friends" (Proverbs 17:9). Man's righteousness is re-
jected, but the upper righteousness of God is revealed
to us as we go from faith to faith and glory to glory,
reflecting God's nature (2 Corinthians 3:18). Instead
of needing human support, we partake of a divine
process which makes us more than conquerors through
the supernatural operation of grace.
35
CHANNELS OF THINKING
Mark 4:24 tells us to "take heed," to continually
produce the action of taking heed what we hear.
When someone comes to you to tell you what some-
one else has done, you don't listen. To listen would
stop the divine process, and you cannot afford to do
that for your best friend. Pray with the person, love
him, comfort him- but don't listen to a single sen-
tence. The only exception to this is when a leader
must prevent leaven from coming into a church or
organization to cause division.
"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach
any other gospel unto you than that which we have
prea<;:hed unto you, let him be accursed" (Galatians
1:8). Paul is telling the Galatians that if any man
preach any gospel other than grace, 'God will not
accept it. If He were to judge one man for his sins, He
would have to judge the one that judges for mental
attitude sins. Proverbs 15:13-15 says to make sure
your attitude is gr.ace. In Matthew 20:15, the man who
worked one hour received the same wage as those
who worked 11 or 12 hours. Satan hates this principle
of grace. He despises it because believers get what
they don't deserve by simply re.ceiving grace.
Is it any wonder that if I sin, it is no longer I? That
is a part of the unbelievable process of grace. Yes,
God is able to keep me from falling. "Yes," God says, "I
will give you power that will keep you" (1 Peter 1 : 5 ) ~
Now I can grow in grace and knowledge and be con-
formed to the image of Jesus Christ. As I use recovery,
I will fail less and less. I will not use grace as a license
to fail, because that is not the purpose of grace. I will
36
A DIVINE FINISHED WORK PROCESS
use grace when I do fail. That is what it is for.
yYe think grace, feel grace, talk grace, receive
grace and love grace. We live in the principles_ of
mercy and enjoy the conditions of peace. That is the
divine finished work process. We must not allow any-
one to take us out of this process. It must become our
very essence.
37
CHAPTER THREE
THE DOCTRINE OF THE MEMORY
A predominating principle to remember is that
whatsoever God does, He does forever (Ecclesiastes
3:14). We were given human life, and that life lasts
forever. The body dies, but our life continues.
One of the privileges of the redeemed child of
God is to allow the pro)cess of grace to work within.
What a tragedy when sin is allowed to affect the
human soul. People have so many difficulties because
there is no way to change unless we allow God to
change us. There is no way to be renewed outside of
God's renewal of our hearts. Unless a person learns
the laws of the spirit of life, he will be a helpless vic-
tim of sin and death. Along with a world system that
is sinful, he will experience death and all of the dis-
eases and horrors of human existence and survival.
An individual who does not discover the true mean-
ing of God's purpose for him on earth will be help-
lessly lost in the pursuit of happiness as he lives a life
of self-rejection.
38
THE DOCTRINE OF THE MEMORY
Channel A, the channel of perception a n ~ aware-
ness, has constant replay. Wherever there is informa-
tion, there is the potential of memory. Memory is that
ability and that state of being which is able to retain
information and recall it through recollection. It is the
unconscious traces of conscious impressions that a
person is able to apprehend, intellectualize and experi-
ence. Memory is a mystical, divine and supernatural
creation.
When information is processed in Channel C, the
soul structure, a more valid memory is produced be-
cause it is retained and ready for recall. Here the indi-
vidual has a conceptual image of people, events and
situations which becomes that person's impressions.
For example, if you spoke unkindly to me, when-
ever I saw you through Channel C I would have an
impression of you. That impression may be wrong-
maybe you were just having a bad day. If I were par-
ticipating in a certain event and you put pressure
upon me, I would associate' a conception of that event
with you and form a conceptual image of what I
thought you were like. It would simply be my view-
point, but it would be retained in Channel C, the
memory center. This would reflect what I thought of
you whenever I saw you or thought of you. It would
usher in negative emotions, and I would be devoid of
a capacity to love you. Whenever your name was
brought up, I would become self-conscious and nega-
tive in my process of thinking.
Remember that this is what happens when infor-
mation enters Channel C without first being corrected
39
CHANNELS OF THINKING
in Channel B. This results in many complex problems
in our lives. Those who are psychopathic and neurotic
cannot deal with their memories. A person who has a
bad marriage cannot deal with his memory of the
marriage. Some who have lost loved ones have very
bad memories and some have good memories.
God desires to teach us about ourselves as we
learn about Him. The memory that is formed in
Adam can never be cut off until Revelation 21:4 is
allowed to have governing authority in our souls. We
must learn of God's provisions. There is not a person
who can deliver anyone else because the memory is
basically in two places. The memory is in Channel C,
in the lower part of the right side of the brain, which
must submit to Channel A through what could be
described as an invisible wire. This powerful memory
affects self-essence, self-realization and the character-
istics of the individual- the things that can and do
overwhelm people because of their memories.
What happens in these unconscious traces of
memory? Let me illustrate it. You think someone has
hurt you, but you try to forget it. You don't think
about it or discuss it, but within you is the uncon-.
scious trace of what that person did. That person
becomes a part of the unconscious traces of your self-
essence. This is very much alive within you. Unless
your heart is cleansed of unconscious traces of reac-
tion, they will sooner or later become reflected in con-
scious impressions.
The Lord Jesus Christ realized that thousands of
people have thought upon subjects that were not
40
THE DOCTRINE OF THE MEMORY
processed through the Cross and thr;ough the human
spirit. Unless the Cross crucifies and processes
thoughts that enter Channel A, they will not enter the
human spirit. Then the old sin nature will have direct
access to Channel A through Channel C. Individuals
will strive and struggle and strain and react as uncon-
scious traces constantly reflect back with deluded
information from conscious impressions.
Satan delights in causing serpents' eggs to lay
dormant until his plan brings them into conscious
impressions through the memory (Isaiah 59:5). These
eggs are developed in the darkroom of Channel A,
where they are defined toward people and finally
hatch.
God's Elective Memory
In Isaiah 49:15, God tells us that He can never for-
get us, because He has written us in the palms of His
hands. We are His. He never leaves us. Not one time
in His eternal essence has God ever stopped thinking
about us. He remembers everything about us except
our sins, which He blotted out for His name's sake
(Isaiah 43:25). He removed them as far away as the
east is from the west (Psalm 103), and the Word of
God tells us that He cannot and will not remember
them any more. God, with an eternal memory,
through a divine decree has sovereignly made a
determination through His omnipotence never to
remember our sins. All our sins were placed upon
His Son, Jesus Christ, who died as the just for the
41
CHANNELS OF THINKING
unjust, to bring us to God.
Although He never remembers the believer's
sins, God never forgets the believer's needs. He
knows our personal thoughts afar off (Psalm 139). He
calls us by our first names. We are on His heart. In
Hebrews 13:5, in the original language, God tells us
"I will never, no never, no never leave thee, nor for-
sake thee." People can forsake us and never return,
but God says "Not only will I never leave you, but I
also will never forsake what your need is, regardless
of what caused it."
God desires that we receive what we need in
order to experience an abundant life. He wants us to
have the amazing potential and possibilities which
come from living in the power and authority of His
Word. We cannot remember Him unless we receive
His Word, because we cannot remember what we
have not heard, nor think about what we have not
received. Whenever we simply acknowledge the
Cross by grace through faith, God's Words are
processed in our human spirit. There they produce a
divine memory. Channel B becomes alive and the
soul is quickened as the attributes of God are reflect-
ed by His Holy Spirit. The Word of God becomes the
Word of life, the Word of grace and the Word of faith,
the very things we need if we are to conquer, resist,
relax and have all we need.
As the Word of God quickens my soul, the Blood of
Jesus Christ blots out everything in Adam's memory. If
I walk in the newness of life instead of the oldness of
the letter (Romans 6:7); and the newness of the Spirit
42
THE DOCTRINE OF THE MEMORY
(Romans 6:4); in love (Ephesians 5:2); and the power
of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:16); believing that
those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh and its
affections (Galatians 5:24); and as long as I receive the
filling of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18) and use
recovery when I need it, Adam's memory can have
no dominion or power of condemnation. I'm submit-
ting to God and responding to Him by grace through
faith in the divine process of mercy. Ecclesiastes 7:13
tells us to consider this supernatural, transforming
work of God.
Jesus taught in John 14:26 that "the Comforter,
which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send
in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring
all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have
said unto you." But not one single measure of that
kind of life and power will ever enter the human
spirit to control self-consciousness unless I acknowl-
edge my co-crucifixion, my co-burial, and my co-res-
urrection with Jesus Christ.
Communion in Memory
There is nothing that is sweeter in all the world
than communion, for communion is thinking about
this truth and its ultimate end in the divine process of
finished work reality. To think that Jesus saw us in
Himself before the world began! He was a Lamb
before we were born, slain for us. Jesus Christ saw us
in Him before we ever sinned because He knew that
our f r ~ e volitions would choose Him. Even the back-
slider, the person living in retrogression, can know
43
CHANNELS OF THINKING
that it has all been forgotten by God. Sin will rob him
of fellowship, growth, and rewards during that period
of time, but sin cannot be remembered by God.
Jonah said that he fainted and remembered what God
said. Communion is remembering His death, His
blood, His broken body, and our co-crucifixion with
Him. Communion is an amazing privilege to think
with Him.
Forgetting What God Forgets
A true Christian remembers what God remem-
bers, but forgets what God has "But if we
walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellow-
ship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ
his Son cleanseth us from all sin" (1 John 1:7). Jesus
Christ's blood cleanses us from all the activities of the
old sin nature. This is the way to experience a cleansed
and purged memory and to have a new memory
formed. The Apostle Paul said, "I pray, I weep, I'm
heavily burdened until Christ be formed in you"
(Galatians 4:19). Paul said, "I want Him formed in
your conscience, your new lexicon and your new
vocabulary. I want Him to be formed in the human
spirit to make it alive. I desire that He be formed in
the mentality, emotions, consciousness and self-con-
sciousness of your soul so your free volition can be
positively activated. I want every single memory
formed with Jesus Christ and His eternal life."
In 1 Corinthians 15:2, Paul exhorted believers to
remember what he preached so that they would not
live in vain. Lamentations 3:16-24 says to keep re-
44
THE DOCTRINE OF THE MEfv10RY
membering the Word of God. Psalm 119:16 tells us to
remember mercy, compassion and the Word of God.
Allow the Holy Spirit to continually bring God's Word
into your memory. As the Word is received, you enter
into death to Adam. A dead Adam cannot remember.
His feelings cannot be wounded, his subjective mind
cannot be hurt. There will be no unconscious traces
producing conscious impressions, diluted and dis-
guised for communication. When Adam is dead,
reality, truth and life are abundant.
Memories and Hell
There are two tragic facts pertaining to the un-
saved person. First, his memory is forever cut off
from God (Psalms 1:6 and 109:15). He did not think
on mercy, but hurt the poor and those who were
crushed and broken. He did not give them love. That
soul which God made in heaven now must go to hell,
where God does not remember. He is cut off from
God's memory.
Secondly, the soul in hell cannot cut off his mem-
ory of God. Luke 16:23 and 24 tells of the rich man:
"And in hell he lifted up his eyes, being in torments,
and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his
bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have
mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the
tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I
am tormented in this flame." The rich man could not
forget what he had done, what others had done to
him and what brought him to hell. And the smoke of
his torment goes up day and night forever. He was
45
CHANNELS OF THINKING
created to remember forever, but because he rejected
mercy, grace and love, forever he will remember the
wrong things. This is one of the devastating things
about hell. Had he been saved, God would have
cleansed and purged his memory. He would have
had a brand new process of thinking throughout life
to remember. But now his memory goes on and on
and on and God no longer remembers him.
When a Christian who hears the Word of God
says he is not doing well, it means that there is no
process going on. His human spirit is dead. This per-
son is functioning in the soul, Channel C, and there is
no subtracting of the old and adding the new. This
Christian needs to get up and shake himself from the
dust. He must begin to thank God that he's saved,
that he's alive and a child of God. He must begin to
thank God for the promises, to worship Him and
become occupied with Jesus Christ. What is happen-
ing to such a person? Because the Cross is not sub-
tracting the negatives, sorrows, wounds and bruises,
he lives in constant self-consciousness. Scarifications
and infected feelings are not being healed, and that
individual constantly faces bad reflections and recall.
Wrong memories cause many problems. There is
a facet of memory called "commemoration" which
always remembers the details of life. This includes sin,
bad experiences, maligning and judging. Oh, the sor-
row of it all! In contrast, "The memory of the just is
blessed ... " (Proverbs 10:7). A Christian can have a
fantastic memory. He can forget what God forgets,
the things that are behind, if he will allow the Word
46
THE DOCTRINE OF THE MEMORY
of God, which is staged in Channel A, to be processed
in Channel B through the human spirit and the Cross.
As he mixes faith with the Word of God, it enters the
five parts of the soul, and the Cross cuts off the
power of the old sin nature. Philippians 3:13b and 14
become reality, and he can say "forgetting those
things which are behind and reaching forth unto
those things which are before, I press toward the
mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ
Jesus." He has an absolute destiny and he reaches for
it. He is transformed by the renewing of his mind. In
Psalm 103, he receives logistical grace, but in 2 Peter
3:18, he receives Calvary's grace. This type of believer
allows Jesus Christ's spirit to constantly bring the
Word of God into his memory.
When 1 Peter 1:13 says to "gird up the loins of
your mind, be sober," it is speaking of being filled
with the quietness of the Word of God to "hope to the
end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the
revelation of Jesus Christ." God's grace brings God's
Word into your memory. God's grace also brings the
love of God into your soul. Then you have been
cleansed and purged with the hyssop of Jesus Christ.
A new heart has been created. You can enjoy a brand
new, almost perfect memory.
What happens when this eternal memory takes
over a human soul? The body is 75 percent healthier.
There is a tremendous development of relationships.
The believer has stability (Isaiah 33:6) and maturity.
Looking at situations through the eyes of grace and
faith becomes a way of life. Negative projections are
47
CHANNELS OF THINKING
gone, so is the frown on the face as he praises God
inwardly. Faith, hope, love and a sense of purpose
control the soul. A person's memory is fantastic when
it is controlled by the Cross through the Word of God!
A Christian. in this state does not dwell on what
people have done to him or what he has done tooth-
ers. He corrects whatever needs correcting, but he
doesn't dwell on these things. The Cross has rooted
them out. Occupied with his new resurrection fellow-
ship with God, circumstances of life don't enter his
mind. This believer goes forward with kindness and
love, occupied with benefits, not problems. Learning
of new provisions instead of problems, he remembers
these provisions and looks forward to what God is
going to do in a mystical way to bless him.
People are strange. The moment someone deviates
from the truth, they don't want anyone to love them.
They don't want to talk or be around people, because
they don't want to be reminded of what true love is.
Because they have made wrong decisions in Channel
A, Channel B is malfunctioning and dormant. Signals
pass from Channel A to Channel C without going
through Channel B. The connection has been broken.
Wrong attitudes, fear and insecurity all come
upon us when we refuse to use God's grace to think
properly in Christ. When we think on God's truth
and feast on His Lamb, we will never be troubled
with problems in our emotions. Peter was attempting
to teach the church to remember to love each other, to
seek the lost, forgive, be patient, kind and edifying.
"Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always
48
THE DOCTRINE OF THE MEMORY
in remembrance of these things, though ye know
them, and be established in the present truth. Yea, I
think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir
you up by putting you in remembrance" (2 Peter 1:12,
13). Thinking properly is vital. As Philippians 4:8
advises, "whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things
are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever
things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatso-
ever things are of good report; if there be any virtue,
and if there be any praise, think on these things."
It is God's will that we have victorious memories.
David is an example of this. When Jonathan and Saul
died, David could not remember how Saul had tried
to kill him. In 2 Samuel1:23, David said that Jonathan
and Saul were beautiful in their lives! What was so
about Saul's life? After attempting again
and again to take David's life, he died in defeat. But
David was so filled with God's love, he could only
remember Saul in the way God saw him. When David
died, God said that David had never turned aside!
God remembered David's need, but He could not
remember David's sin. The testimony on his tomb-
stone is "He never turned aside, but was perfect all
the days of his life and fulfilled all the will of God."
What a memory!
Was David chastised? Yes. Was Saul chastised?
Yes. They broke fellowship with God, and their sin
hurt them. But redemption took over, reconciliation
was established, the work of God was accomplished
and they received the process of Grace. God could
not charge them with anything from Adam's life. We
49
CHANNELS OF THINKING
need to take hold of this truth. Some people don't
love each other. It is because of their memories. Their
memories have not been cleansed in relationships
and they have not been cleansed in relationship to
their losses. Allow God to enter your memory and
deal with it so what you now count loss you can
count gain for Christ.
Consider Jacob, Abraham, Sarah and Samson,
who are all listed in Hebrews 11 as heroes of the faith.
They simply responded in faith. God's memory of
them does not include their failures. This applies to
us as well. When we use faith to respond to God, He
views us as heroes of faith.
What will our memories be like in Heaven? God
will supernaturally blot out bad memories as the for-
, mer things pass away (Revelation 21:4). Our free voli-
tions will not be able to think of these things even if
we want to. Imagine living billions and billions of
years without one bad memory!
Time and Memory
Does time heal the memory? No. God heals our
memory when we trust Him at all times (Psalm 62). A
negative memory is a red light to indicate that we are
not trusting God. Something is not being processed
through the Cross and through the human spirit, pos-
sibly as a result of pride. As soon as this happens, a
believer must humble himself before God and begin
to trust Him in a relaxed way. The Psalmist said, "My
heart is fixed, 0 God, my heart is fixed: I will sing
and give praise" (Psalm 57:7). When the heart is
50
THE DOCTRINE OF THE MEMORY
established, the me1nory is controlled by God's life. If
a subject is brought up in a message that would have
stirred up negative thoughts in the past, we are now
made aware of our deliverance. Our focus changes
from what we've been delivered from to the fact that
we have been delivered.
If the heart is not guarded, a person may receive
projections from the air. These projections are sent to
make you aware of something. If you respond to the
projection, you will perceive, then experience and
finally communicate what you have become aware of
with a vocabulary based upon your experience.
Projections, which come to Channel A, bring out the
unconscious traces of conscious impressions. By the
time they reach Channel C, these projections are a
part of you.
It is absolutely essential that everything be fil-
tered through Channel B, the Cross, the Word and the
Spirit, through the application of faith. If I do not take
up my Cross, my thoughts will precede the Cross and
I may never get there. In Lamentations 3:22, we are
told that His mercies "are new every morning." We
are living in the memory of the new creation. This
new memory comes under the new covenant to pro-
tect us. We are given a new conscience, a new vocab-
ulary and new reflections. As we live in the power of
resurrection without self taking over, every thought is
brought into subjection. Instead of becoming familiar
with what God has done, we are delivered unto Him
in the intensification of a new relationship
KALOS, the word for "honest" in Luke 8:15,

only a potential." Something has been made beautiful
out of what was normal - the heart.

CHAPTER FOUR
THE "RIGHT NOW" LIFE OF FAITH
"Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy
thoughts shall be established" (Proverbs 16:3). With
what is known today about the brain, this verse holds
meaning in the psychological realm. "The preparations
of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is
from the Lord" (Proverbs 16:1). This is true only when
Channels A, Band Care functioning properly. But the
Lord tests a man's spirit, in Proverbs 16:2, and declares
that everything that does not go through the human
spirit to be soulish. In a soulish man, the human spirit
is not functioning. He is only dichotomous, so
Channel C believes everything that it receives from
Channel A.
Whatever Channel A thinks, Channel C believes
has already happened, or it will cause it to happen.
For example, a woman told me, "The other night I
didn't do the dishes before I went to bed. Now, I
knew that I should have done the dishes. My mother
never left the dishes undone. All night long I couldn't
sleep. I tossed and turned." Channel C kept telling
53
CHANNELS OF THINKING
her "The dishes aren't done." She would respond
with, "I'll do them in the morning." Channel C would
repeat, thirty minutes later, "The dishes aren't done."
"I'll do them in the morning," she would say again.
Finally, she got up and did the dishes at 4 A.M.!
If this woman had been tuned in to Channel B,
this would never have happened, because Channel B
takes in everything that is processed through the
Cross. The Cross eliminates the natural human
process of information from Channel A going directly
to Channel C. This applies to guilt. When Channel A
lives in superficial guilt, Channel C believes the per-
son is truly guilty. It is not bona fide guilt, but
Channel C believes it is. In fact, Channel C knows it
is, and begins to bring in unbelievable conviction.
Channel C believes the person has already committed
whatever act would make them worthy of guilt, even
though it never happened. What would happen if
Channel B were functioning? What Channel A
thought would have to be processed through the
Cross, so the Spirit and life would take over the
thoughts, and Channel C would never have to experi-
ence that turmoil.
A counselor cannot help someone who is going
through the A to C process, unless he understands
Channel B. Most counselors don't even know there is
a Channel B. Proverbs 20:27, Job 32:8, Job 33:4 and
Acts 19:21 reveal the existence of this Channel.
People also experience moods and loneliness and
cannot fake their way out of their dilemma because
Channel C will not allow them to. If Channel A is
54
THE nRIGHT NOW" LIFE OF FAITH
lonely, Channel C will say, "Yes, you're lonely." The
person will say to himself, "Don't be lonely." Channel
C will repeat, "But you are so lonely. Get a drink.
Now! Get a drink." Channel C won't let up until the
person takes that drink.
Proverbs 16:3 tell us, "Commit thy works unto
the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established." That
means Channel B will establish the good thoughts
that are committed to God from Channel A. If every-
thing in Channel A is processed through Channel B,
then Jesus Christ will establish these thoughts in
Channel C. Channel C will no longer have a problem
with Channel A. When our thoughts are committed
to God, Channel B subtracts what should not enter
Channel C and allows only those things which would
benefit us to be added. "The preparations of the heart
in man," says Proverbs 16:1, "and the answer of the
tongue is from the Lord." When a man prepares his
heart in the right way, then Channel C will give him
an answer from God, which it received in Channel B.
Every Christian should begin to understand how
to commit his way unto the Lord. As 1 Timothy 6:20
says, " ... keep that which is committed to thy trust."
"Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him;
and he shall bring it to pass" (Psalm 37:5).
Here is an example of an 8-year-old girl who
applied this truth. She was from the bus ministry, and
she, along with other children, was riding with the
bus captain in his old junker car. The car had two
doors which would not open. This little girl said,
"Stop the car. I'm going to pray that God will give
55
CHANNELS OF THINKING
you a new van." This prayer appeared silly to the bus
captain, who hardly listened, although he appreciated
it. But five weeks later, his uncle died and he inherited
a brand new van! So the first place he went with the
van was to the home of that girl. She got into the van,
looked it all over, and was silent. Finally she said, "I
didn't ask God for this good a van. I just wanted
something where the doors would open."
Cosmic Walls
When Channel B is not functioning, a believer is
open to cosmic shadows which are produced by
Satan's world system. Cosmic shadows always pro-
duce cosmic invasion, the invasion of data into
Channel C which has not been filtered through
Channel B. Nothing has been eliminated on the way.
Cosmic invasion always establishes cosmic blindness,
and the moment cosmic blindness occurs, the person
begins to suffer from cosmic walls.
Have you ever tried to talk to someone who has
walls up in his soul? You go away thinking, "They
have their wall up," and they really do. You could tell
them every truth you could possibly know, but truth
would not penetrate those walls. People with cosmic
walls have already accepted a presupposition, and
they are preoccupied with some type of cosmic inva-
sion. Now Channel C believes everything that
Channel A has heard. Every single thing that Chan-
nel A has originated and thought through Channel C
accepts as truth. Then the process of cosmic responses
takes over.
56
THE uRIGHT NOW" LIFE OF FAITH
Contrast this with living in Calvary's zones in
which the love and grace of God, through the Word
of God are so vital. Faith must have an object, and
Jesus Christ is the object of faith for salvation. The
words of Jesus Christ are the object of faith for pro-
gressive sanctification, deliverance and liberation.
Everything the Holy Spirit brings into our lives can
become the object of faith as He points to principles
we need to believe.
That is why my food is sanctified when I pray
over it. Thoughts that the food will help my body are
established by God in Channel B. I commit the origi-
nal ideas of Channel A to God and He takes them
through Channel B and processes them, establishing
them in Channel C, my soul. Channel C has received
a derivation of Life from Channel B and the answer
of my tongue is from the Lord. When we pray over
our food (1 Timothy 4), the food is sanctified because
of the divine process in which faith takes God's Word
over the food for its object. But "whatsoever is not of
faith is sin" (Romans 14:23b). If faith doesn't have the
Word of God as its object, Channel C does not receive
life from Channel B. Channel A says, "Ah, here we go
again. We'll pray anyway, as a ceremony." When we
pray, if Channel B is not functioning, we will never
receive an answer because whatsoever is not of faith
is of the old sin nature.
In Matthew 5:28, Jesus illustrated how Channel C
implements what it receives from Channel A:
" ... whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her
hath committed adultery with her already in his
57
CHANNELS OF THINKING
heart." Matthew 5:21-28, another example, explains
that whoever is angry has already murdered his
brother in his heart. But if we commit our works to
the Lord in Channel A, He establishes them in
Channel B. Channel C, instead of receiving thoughts
of lust or anger directly from Channel A, receives
from Channel B thoughts which have been estab-
lished by the Lord.
This A-B-C process takes on amazing possibilities
in prayer. When I pray that I will be released from
pressures, I believe that I will be. That complements
the words of Jesus Christ through my faith, and what
I say shall come to pass (Mark 11:22). "Have faith in
God." (Mark 11:22b). If you do, "whosoever shall say
unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou
cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart, but
shall believe that those things which he saith shall
come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he sai th"
(verse 23). When the Word is the object of your faith,
whatsoever you desire shall happen. That's why, if
you delight yourself in the object of faith, you shall
receive the desires of your heart of faith (Psalm 37:4).
Recently, we prayed for a woman with cancer of
the colon. She came in the next morning, looking like
she had been resurrected. Then she told us of three
changes which occurred for the first time after prayer.
She said, "How can this be? I believe it, but how could
it happen that quickly?" God's compassion and God's
grace and God's Word became the object of her faith.
Channel A believed it, and Channel C said, "It's done!"
Channel B said, "Thanks for receiving the truth."
58
THE "RIGHT NOW" LIFE OF FAITH
The Law of Faith
Whenever we believe something through Jesus
Christ and the Word of God and it is processed
through Channel B, Channel C says, "It shall be done
unto you," or "if you commit your way unto the Lord
and trust also in Him, He shall bring it to pass." Either
God will bring it to pass, or it is already done. And
the truth is, it is already done, He will bring it to pass.
This works by the law of faith (Romans 3:27). We
have possibility frequencies, which are described in
Mark 11:22 and 23. When we say to the mountain of
our circumstances "be thou cast into the sea," and we
do not doubt, we shall have what we desire. Have
faith in God. We are promised that anything we ask
in Jesus' name will be done for us. These verses
become the object of our faith. Then we confess our
sins, rest in the Lord (Psalm 37:7 and Hebrews 4:9)
and the yoke becomes easy and the burden light
(Matthew 11:30). Now we ask for something as we're
occupied with Christ. What we have asked will either
be done the moment we ask, or it shall be done, so we
ask without wavering.
Ask God for something as you enter into the law
of faith. Don't waver, but enter into the possibility
frequencies which are possible through the promises.
After the possibility frequencies of a divine signal we
have the provision frequency. This is the provision of
grace, or whatever the plan of God is to make some-
thing happen. The provision frequency gives you the
ability to wait upon God. Perspicacity is the discern-
59
CHANNELS OF THINKING
ment to wait upon God with relaxation and wit.
Satan takes a surreptitious approach in attacking
us. He is covert, working undercover with Channel A
so that we will bypass Channel Band Channel C will
receive cosmic confusion, invasion, shadows, indif-
ference, walls and blindness. Satan wants the believ-
er's mind to malfunction. He wants him to go to
worldly counselors and to talk without any faith in
God. He desires that the attitude behind prayer be,
"Well, I prayed before and it didn't happen." It is
Satan's desire that Channels A and C function with-
out Channel B.
Consider 1 Thessalonians 5:23b, "and I pray God
your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved
blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."
God is saying, "Listen, I want your spirit to be pre-
served first, your soul second, and your body third. If
your spirit isn't preserved, your soul and body will
be shipwrecked. You will be physically ill half of your
life and will not be able to serve God as your spirit
desires. So I want spirit, soul and body to be in har-
mony, in compatibility with a divine commitment to
God. I desire that you have a living faith in the object
of faith, the Word of Jesus Christ through the Spirit.
That produces alpha waves." Alpha waves are the
chemical created by the brain when the body, soul
and spirit are in organic union with God. Job 22:21
tells us that when we get acquainted with God and
have peace in ourselves, we will see good. That is
when the human organism becomes an experiential
reality in its blessings from God. Spirit, soul and
60
THE "RIGHT NOW" LIFE OF FAITH
body are preserved, in that order, with the Word of
God quickening the soul and spirit so the body can
be presented as a living sacrifice through a renewed
mind. It is a marvelous way to have a healthy body,
through a soul which is healthy because the spirit is
functioning with the Word and Jesus Christ as the
object of faith.
"Ask anything in My name." Jesus doesn't even
deal with His sovereignty here, even though sover-
eignty is presupposed. "Have faith in God." "He will
receive whatsoever he saith." Do you believe these
verses? You can't believe them unless Channel B is
alive. Channel B must bring in the life and the power
through the frequency of power, the frequency of
promise and the possibility of grace.
Think about the drug addict who can't help him-
self. He trusts drugs, which are his way, (Channel A)
unto God. He also trusts in God as he commits the
drugs to Him (Channel B). God brings the deliver-
ance to pass (Channel C). That is Psalm 37:5, and it's
a marvelous, practical object lesson from God's truth
and His love for us. We commit the way of drugs
unto the Lord, and that includes pharmaceutical pre-
scriptions, unless we really need them. (That is
between you and God and your physician.) Once we
have committed the drugs to God, we trust in Him
(that is the human spirit). He shall bring it to pass
(the human soul), and the body says, "Thanks."
Spirit, soul and body are all working. We must
understand the quintessence of human essence-
spirit, soul and body, God-consciousness, self-con-
61
CHANNELS OF THINKING
sciousness, world consciousness- how it functions,
how God provided for it, how it performs in grace
and how it performs in sin. Then we must allow the
Word of God to become the object of our faith.
Adversity and circumstances should never make
us leave the call of God or the will of God.
Sentimentality and natural affections must never take
over Channels A and C. If a person says something in
Channel A and the Cross doesn't subtract it in
Channel B, he will unknowingly honor that over a
period of time until Channel C finally gives in. It's
time God's people said some things in faith and
made things happen as they believed.
True Unity
What is true unity? I keep that which God has
committed unto me, I keep my soul (1 Peter 4:19), and
I commit my way unto the Lord (Channel A), trust in
Him (Channel B), and He brings it to pass (Channel C).
It doesn't matter whether you have physical problems,
emotional problems, marital problems or financial
problems. None of these is the biggest dilemma in the
universe. An omnipotent, omniscient God who is
filled with compassion can handle any one of these
issues as quickly as you can blink. Why don't we
begin to understand the law of faith, the frequency
possibility, the power possibility and the action of fre-
quency? Let's keep out the cosmic confusion by mak-
ing the Word of God the object of our lives as we are
established in grace. We have been drawn nigh by the
62
THE '"RIGHT NOW" LIFE OF FAITH
blood of Christ to have unity with God. This unity
begins in the quintessence of human essence, where
the unity of God-consciousness is working with the
unity of self-consciousness. The result is that we
become salt and light to the world.
Rallying around a cause, such as war, is not unity.
That is common interest for self-preservation. Rallying
around a need in a community is not unity, neither is
helping people who have gone through a natural dis-
aster. Unity comes from God's action of making us
one through Calvary. Every person who has received
what Jesus has done is drawn nigh by the blood of
Christ and Jesus gives that person individual unity.
Furthermore, when we operate in the quintessence of
human essence, we also experience the benefits of
God's unity in man.
Under the banner of grace, whatever I say, I shall
have. I'm not going to ask for anything ridiculous or
outrageous because I'm walking in the spirit. Whatever
Channel A believes, Channel B gives to Channel C as
fact. My thoughts are established, so when I have been
healed and the symptoms return, I don't give in to
them. I begin to experience the life of unity as a man as
my thoughts are established in the unity of God's life,
reciprocating with the unity of God.
It was the prayer of Jesus in John 17:21, "That
they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I
in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the
world may believe that thou hast sent me." No longer
are we foreigners and strangers (Ephesians 2:19),
there is no more wall of separation, we have been
63
CHANNELS OF THINKING
made one. Then faith is released and we become one
with the unity of God's life. We receive power over
sin, loneliness, fear, insecurity and guilt. Now we
have power to be delivered from temptation. Our
emotions can enjoy a magnificent healing. Faith can
now visualize encounters with God through the
objectivity of doctrine. Now we have the ability and
power to discern the will of God and go forward with
joy and peace. Why can we now do all these things?
Because we have been drawn nigh by the blood of
Christ, so we are living in the "right now" of what
the Cross has done and we receive the blessings of
life's benefits through resurrection grace.
It no longer matters what used to be. What is it
like now? It doesn't matter how much you failed to
believe God yesterday. What has God said to you
today? Now it is going to happen. In John 11:21-24,
Martha told Jesus, "I knew if you had been here, you
would have healed my brother before he died." And
she said, "Not only that, but I believe you are the
Messiah, and you will raise him up in the last day in
the Resurrection." Jesus, in effect, said, "There you
go, Martha. There you go. I could have done it if I had
been here, and one day in the future I'll do it. But did
you ever stop to think that I might do it right now?"
It's easy to say, "What a miracle that was in the
Red Sea! What a miracle to see the manna from heaven
or to see the sun stand still!" I may believe in all those
miracles, but I don't have faith enough to get rid of
my cold. I believe that I've been saved and born
again and raised from the dead, spiritually speaking,
64
THE '"RIGHT NOW" LIFE OF FAITH
but I can't believe God for my backache. I don't
believe God would want to heal a silly thing like a
backache, even if it does give me terrible pain. '
No! That's not how God works. Now you are
saved! Now you are living in victory! Now you have
a heavenly position! Now Christ is in you, you win
Christ, you have drawn nigh to His blood, you have
faith in God, a confession of faith, power and victory.
The Word of God is ready to work its power in you,
now! Jesus told the woman in John 11:25, "I am the
resurrection and the life right now," and He told
Lazarus to come forth from the grave. Martha said,
"He did it. I knew God could do it if He wanted to."
Did you ever stop to think He has wanted to all this
time?
Receive God's mercy now. A marriage can change,
secret drinking problems can go, tranquilizers can be
thrown away. Allow God to take over as we act upon
His Word and make truth the object of our faith.
The Counterfeit Peace
Satan counterfeits God's peace with an approach
which produces a false peace. Jeremiah 6:14 speaks
of "Peace, peace; when there is no peace." And as
1 Thessalonians 5:3 tells us, "For when they say say,
Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh
upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and
they shall not escape." We must be aware of Satan's
sedatives. He allures and entices the Christian into
neglecting God's will, then leaves him beguiled and
cheated. While the Christian is doing Satan's will,
65
CHANNELS OF THINKING
Satan protects him, then leaves him in some form of
guilt. Channel A says, "You've cheated." Channel C
says, "You will be guilty. God doesn't want you."
Then, if he confesses, the guilt remains because
Channel B isn't involved. That is what happened to
Adam and Eve when they hid from God (Genesis 2).
Have you ever met people who can quote the
Scriptures, but cannot forgive? They are A to C
Christians, and they live in cosmic confusion and cos-
mic infections. There are others who have been
through everything under the sun, but they allow the
trials to change them. Their attitude and their confes-
sion changes and they are set free. These liberated
Christians have allowed God to love them freely.
Consequently, they enter into a life of divine wisdom,
or divine sagacity.
Satan operates underground, covering his tracks,
and the average person doesn't recognize what he is
doing. It requires spiritual faith to discern Satan's
covert activities. Through perspicacity, or human
relaxation through the Spirit, we see through Satan's
plan. His activities are intended to produce subjectiv-
ity in our lives and block out the one-third of the
brain where creativity is located. It is there that
vision, prayer and faith are created through the prin-
ciples of God's Word. Satan blocks this portion of the
brain with a cosmic block so the Christian is no longer
creative in his subconscious. He begins to display
Adam's reflections of the subconscious because the
surreptitious process of Satan has made him passive
and apathetic. Passivity nullifies any possible initia-
66
THE //RIGHT NOW" LIFE OF FAITH
tion of faith, leaving the Christian with a theological
faith of acknowledgment and no initiation of action.
Every one of us has experienced a theological
faith. We have acknowledged truth, but there is no
activity. This faith eventually makes us proud, con-
fused, and defensive. We defend it because it is
theologically correct. Theological acknowledgment is
doctrinal acknowledgment with no spiritual effects-
faith without obedience. We have theological love,
but no action toward each other, theological forgive-
ness with no divine results. That is the difference
between the subconscious being allowed to use its
creativity and the subconscious being robbed of cre-
ativity by the surreptitious confinement of Satan's
covert actions. Satan creates sedatives from the chem-
icals in our bodies which are produced by stress and
by his initiations. We come under a cosmic shadow.
This leads to cosmic infection, cosmic stress, cosmic
blindness and a cosmic wall. The process consum-
mates in cosmic deceptions which coexist with our
theological acknowledgments of faith and love. "But
be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiv-
ing your own selves," we are admonished in James
1:22. The work of God must follow the Word of God.
When we hear the Word, we participate in the divine
work through grace.
Contrast theological faith with the faith of Cal-
vary's zone, where the Christian is rezoned from cos-
mic invasion to Calvary's invasion through the life of
the Spirit and the Word of grace. Here the Christian
lives in areas of divine frequencies. This is the
67
CHANNELS OF THINKING
Channel B zone of the sout which provides possibility,
provision, power, activity and protection. Whatever
shouldn't be there is subtracted by the Cross. What-
ever should be in the soul is added by resurrection.
A person who has been under the covert action of
Satan's underworld must be crushed by the Cross in
order to enter into a divine transition. The gracious-
ness of God will probably take its time and accomplish
this through a process. Things around the person
must collapse so God can get his undivided attention.
After God gets the individual apart from people and
away from those who protect him with a false sup-
port system, the release can begin.
68
CONCLUSION
What a privilege to be alive today and to have
our affections set on things above. We have the
opportunity to go forward and make an impact upon
the lives of those who have been victimized. As our
minds reflect divine love and divine affections and
our eyes affect our hearts through Channel B, we
become personally responsible, alert and quickened.
Week after week, we reach those who are living in
poverty, guilt, condemnation and insecurity, and pre-
sent them with a living resurrected Christ. A love that
doesn't fail, a joy that is unspeakable, and a faith
which cannot be shaken are the gifts we offer. Instead
of living in natural affections we have a wisdom,
strength and guidance that establishes us in maturity
as we are conformed into the very image of Jesus
Christ.
I do not take for granted the fields that are white
and ready to harvest. I do not take for granted the
needs of people or the possibility of healing for the
mind, emotions and body. God has a plan for His
people to bless them beyond what they think or
know. When the human spirit tunes in to the Holy
Spirit through the Word of God and we are quick-
69
CHANNELS OF THINKING
ened by faith obedience, we apply truth specifically
and God begins to present us with a miracle every
day. Our life is a miracle, as is fellowship and helping
others. We begin to wait for each new miracle of
grace to take place because the eye affects the heart.
It is my prayer that truth will penetrate the sub-
conscious, control the conscious and bless the soul
through the spirit. I pray that we will be blessed with
expectation from God as we commit our thought life
to the things that are above. May the disposition of
our mind act upon grace and our new position in
Christ. May we realize the love and joy and potential
that a Christian has because eye has not seen nor ear
heard what God has prepared for them that love
Him. He will reveal these things to us by His Spirit
through the human spirit as Channel B opens to Him
and Channel C begins to flourish.

GLOSSARY
BACKSLIDING: to slide backward from living by every Word
of God in one's life; to slide backward from the Word of God as
the standard of the believers' convictions, as the standard of the
believers' spiritual morals; to slide backward in faith, or in desire
to live a practical Christian life; (Proverbs 14:14, Isaiah 1:4, Jere-
miah 14:7, Hosea 11:7, Matthew 24:12, Luke 9:62, John 6:66, Gala-
tians 4:9, II Timothy 4:10, Hebrews 10:38)
PRACTICAL APPLICATION: Hearing certain truths many times and
not obeying them, thus causing the believer to harden his heart
and to slide away from fellowship with God, and from experien-
tially being sanctified by the truth and power of the Word of
God; To walk with God means that the Christian is going for-
ward, relating to progress in the plan of God (Genesis 5:24); to
remain static is also backsliding (Revelation 3:14-22).
"BEMA" SEAT: judgment seat; Christ's judgment seat in heaven
before which all born-again believers will have to appear. The
believers will be judged on the basis of their application of His
Word, with His love, mercy, and grace to themselves and to oth-
ers, and also the extent that they did any secular or sacred work
to glorify God. They will have to answer alone to God for their
own lives. They will be declared to be either "overcomers" or
"ashamed." There are specific rewards for specific areas. The
"overcomers" will be rewarded in those areas that they were vic-
torious in. However, those that will be declared "ashamed" will
loose the rewards that they could have had. (Matthew 25:21a,
Romans 14:10)2, I Corinthians 3:10-15,4:5, I Corinthians 9:24-27,
II Corinthians 5:10, Philippians 3:14, II Timothy 2:5, Hebrews
13:17, Revelation 2 & 3).

Word of God, and the circumstances of life to receive the incorrupt-
ible seeds of the Word of God which become engrafted and inborn.
This is how believers develop a new and growing ability to receive
from God and without strife, worry, or relating to the past. (Jere-
miah 4:3, Hosea 10:12, Matthew 13:24-30, Mark 4:3-9, 13-20)
CATEGORICAL DOCTRINE: truths and teachings in the Bible
on similar individual subjects can be put together in the same doc- ,
trinal category (example: the doctrine of sin, salvation, etc.); (Isaiah
28:10,13, John 7:16, Romans 6:17, II Timothy 3:10,16, Titus 1:9, 2:1)
CHANNEL A: the theory that Channel A is an equivalent to the
left lobe/ side of the brain; it may represent the heart and percep-
tual part of the human essence-the part we think in, we know,
we have logic, perception of information, we rationalize, we real-
ize, and we plan in (with Biblical or non-Biblical information.)
CHANNEL B: the theory that Channel B is an equivalent to the
upper right lobe/ side of the brain; it may represent the human
spirit (God's lamp); At salvation, the human spirit is quickened
by God. When the believer seeks and minds the things of God,
and is filled with the Word and the Holy Spirit, Channel B only
takes in the right godly information processed through the appli-
cation of the cross: in Channel B, the human spirit eliminates the
natural human process of Channel C through taking up the Cross,
so Channel A and B can apply the Word of God in our daily life
through the indwelling Holy Spirit (Galatians 2:20).

GLOSSARY
CHANNEL C: the theory that Channel Cis an equivalent to the
lower part of the right lobe/ side of the brain; it may represent
the soul; this part of the brain receives and believes everything .
that Channel A initiates and transmits; Channel C will automati-
cally believe and act upon the thoughts transmitted from Chan-
nel A and will not rest until the thoughts from Channel A have
been realized; Therefore the believer's thoughts have to be
checked and controlled by a higher authority which is the Word
in Channel B, the taking up of the Cross, and the filling of the
Holy Spirit.
co-crucifixion of self: accepting the co-cru-
Cifixion of the Old Sin Nature with Christ; Christ died for us and
as us on the cross. As soon as somebody believes on Christ as his
Savior, positionally the believer's Old Sin Nature has been cruci-
fied with Christ on Calvary. This positional co-crucifixion will
progressively become experiential reality in the believer's life.
To experience this practically, the believer has to reckon on this
co-crucifixion daily in faith, be filled with the Holy Spirit, and be
occupied with the Word of God (Matthew 16:24, Mark 8:34,
10:21, Luke 9:23, Romans 5,6,7, Galatians 2:20,24, 5:11, 6:14,
Colossians 2:20).
CONSCIENCE: the place in the soul where norms and stan-
dards for right and wrong are established (John 8:9, Acts 23:1, I
Timothy 1:5,19,4:2, Hebrews 9:14).
CONSCIOUSNESS: the totality of one's thoughts, feelings, and im-
the mental state in which one is objectively realizing,
havmg knowledge of one's mental operations or actions and
being aware of what is happening around one (Psalm 25:9)
SUBCONSCIOUS: that part of our mental activity and processes in
which the individual has little or no conscious perception; (it is
73
CHANNELS OF THINKING
more in contact with the consciousness but it receives unnoticed
impressions from the unconscious)
UNCONSCious: the sum of all thoughts, impulses, desires, feel-
ings, of which the individual is not conscious but which influ-
ence his behavior; it is not perceived in the conscious mind; the
department of the heart where we completely bury and lock
away experiences, events, and sins that were too painful for us.
We'll forget it but it will still influence our behavior. Believers
can overcome any of these negative effects in the conscious, the
subconscious, and the unconscious, if the Blood of h r ~ s t
cleanses the unconscious, the Holy Spirit fills the believers, grace
deals with their subconscious, and if the believers continually re-
ceive the Word of God in their (conscious) mind.
COSMIC SHADOWS: is when the believer is not operating in
and receiving from the realm of light but from the realm of Satan's
cosmic system. The believer more and more fails to operate in divine
viewpoint but rather operates through rationalism. See infection.
DETAIL OF LIFE: the daily tasks, responsibilities, and decisions
that face each individual from day to day.
FINISHED WORK: by dying and shedding His literal blood for
all the sin and sins of mankind, Christ has finished the work
needed for restoration of man to God; the only requirement for
restoration is a personal faith of the individual in the person and
work of Christ (John 19:13, Hebrews 9:26,28, I Peter 2:24a).
FREE VOLITION: the act of willing; the actual exercise of the
power of the soul to consider an idea, and consequently to make
a choice, a decision, or a determination (Genesis 2:16-17, Deuter-
onomy 30:19,20, Joshua 24:15-18, I Kings 18:21; see soul)

GLOSSARY
GUILT: in a Christian application: an inward feeling of convic-
tion (of deserving punishment) when a believer has done or
thought something wrong, committed an offence, or transgressed
against God, His Word, or His character or nature, consciously or
unconsciously.
BONA FIDE: When one's conscience or the Holy Spirit convicts
somebody of a sin (or sins) that actually has been committed
against God or His Word. Because Christ died and paid for the
sins and sin of mankind, the believers are already forgiven of
their sins. This forgiveness is positional but it is not experiential
yet. After believers have confessed their sins to God and re-
pented of our sins, God will experientially apply this forgiveness
to the believers and cleanse their soul so they don't have to be
guilty anymore. (Deuteronomy 19:13, Leviticus 5:17, Romans 3:19,
James 2:10)
FALSE: As soon as believers have confessed their sins to God and
dealt with them before God, God freely forgives them (I John 1:9),
and forgets their sins (Micah 7:18,19, Hebrews 8:12). The devil, the
world, carnal Christians, and sometimes even believers them-
selves will bring up their sins after the sins have been dealt with,
or they will bring up supposed wrongs with a faultfinding atti-
tude. This makes the believers feel guilty, but the accusations are
false accusations, and therefore the guilt is false. (Romans 8:1a, I
Timothy 3:6)
INFECTION: the infecting of our soul with an evil or negative
feeling, an wrong idea, or a false belief causing our soul to become
defiled, corrupted, affected, or diseased by those projections.
LOGISTICAL GRACE: grace given to every person on the earth
(Mt.5:45).
75
CHANNELS OF THINKING
OBJECTIVITY: in a Christian context: receiving, believing, apply-
ing, and depending on the truth of God's Word without distortion
by personal feelings, personal opinion, or prejudice; expressing or
experiencing God's truth without distortion by personal feelings,
personal opinion, or prejudice (Matthew 4:4).
PERSPICACITY: keenness of judgment or understanding; in a
practical application: the capacity of the believer to contact, to
communicate with, to hear from, and to respond to God with
discernment in a situation with preciseness because of the Word
of God and by the ability of grace.
POSITIONAL SANCTIFICATION: that which was sinfut car-
nal, or worldly before is now completely and perfectly made holy
by God; At the moment of salvation, every believer is perfectly
and once and for all set apart from the world and sin unto God be-
cause of grace and because of the work of Christ; positionally, and
in God's eyes, the believer stands perfectly in holiness, although
they may not experience it yet (Acts 20:32, I Corinthians 1:2)
PROJECTION: the unconscious act or process of ascribing or at-
tributing to others one's own ideas, feelings, attitudes, or im-
pulses (especially when such ideas are considered undesirable).
EXAMPLE: Satan uses a supernatural atmospheric energizing
process to unconsciously impart his ideas, attitudes, feelings,
and impulses, which are against the Word and the character of
God, to believers who have their spiritual guards and armor
down (Ephesians 6:10-18).
QUINTESSENCE: the purest and highest essence of a substance.
From God's viewpoint it is the most perfect embodiment of an
individual; i.e., one whose spirit, soul and body is walking in the
spirit and responding to truth.

GLOSSARY
RELATIVE RIGHTEOUSNESS: when a person believes his
righteousness is contingent upon factors other than faith in the
redeeming work of Jesus Christ.
RETROGRESSION: see backsliding
SCAR OR SCAR TISSUE: A wound in the soul that has been
suppressed and covered up into our subjective; the wound
seemingly has been healed by time, however the wound was
never really been dealt with and has never been healed by God,
the Word, and the Spirit. Therefore it will still influence the ob-
jective behavior.
SELF-ESSENCE: comes from the Latin word /fto be". It refers to
the nature and characteristics of a thing that is stable and never
changes. God never changes but man does. That is why man
needs to take on divine truth that renews his mind and lets him
be transformed into the nature of God (Ro.12:2; IICor.3:18)
SELF-IMAGE: the mental image one has of oneself. See self-
essence.
SUBJECTIVITY: arising from personal feelings and opinions
(within the brain or mind) rather than the Word of God; to think
and reason within oneself usually based on feelings and lacking
the reality and substance of the Word of God; to make decisions
by yourself without any consideration of the Word of God or of
the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
SUBLIMATION: when the soul isn't being filled with the Word
of God and the Holy Spirit, it will look for something else to fill
the emptiness; expressing carnal, sinful, and Biblically unaccept-
able desires and drives (which are often unconscious) in accept-
77
CHANNELS OF THINKING
able forms (to replace the Biblical unacceptable drives and im-
pulses with something acceptable).
SURREPTITIOUS: one who is crafty, devious, deceitful, subtle,
wily.
THEANTRIC ACTION: from the Greek words "Theos" (God)
and "anthropos" (man); the process through which the life of
Jesus Christ is merged with human nature; the natural disposi-
tion of man is neutralized through humility to God, through the
filling of the Spirit, and through faith obedience to the Word of
God, which produces Christ's nature and divine characteristics
through the power of grace and the Holy Spirit who is living in
the believer (II Peter 1:4); the power of His nature in us; God's
nature controls the believer's nature through the government of
the indwelling Word and through the power of the indwelling
Spirit (John 14:10,11, Romans 5:9,10, 6:4-7, 8:1-11, 16:25,
II Corinthians 3:18, Galatians 2:20, 5:22,23,24, Ephesians 1:18-20,
2:8,9, 3:16-19, 5:11, 6:14, Philippians 2:1, Colossians 3:16,17,28, II
Thessalonians 5:24, II Peter 1:4).
UNCONSCIOUS: see consciousness
UPPER RIGHTEOUSNESS: righteousness that is derived from
above. (Ro. 3:21,22; 5:17,21)
