Teachers Activities
how to answer a question in a long way-. The activity was good for allstudents because they practiced the language, improved their vocabulary, and ate some delicious food. Some of the recipes they describe step by step were pizza, salads, cinnamon rolls, cookies, etc. Linda Perez usesto do this kind of activities with all her students in other levels, because she believes its a good way to integrate the group, and also, they lose the fear of speaking in English.

Recipes Step by Step

Linda Perez Teacher of level IV in Pro-lingua Institute made an activity with their students. The objective of this activity was to present food and describe step by step the recipe they made, using quantifiers like a little, a lot, a few, etc. Linda invited other students to be the listeners of her students. When the exhibitors had finished the presentation, the invited students made some questions about the recipe. Lindas students practiced

Linda always tells her students TO READ a lot, because once you read, you get more vocabulary, and also you can understand the structure of a sentence. That means that if you read a lot, you will know how to write. Then, if you know how to write, your listening will increase because you will have more vocabulary to use. You will speak better. 5

The students worked in pair, one of they describe the personal appearance of the person who appeared in the picture as: Hair color Weight Height Skin Color And another characteristics like if the person had a mustache, pimples, dimples, curly hair.

LEVEL XII 6-8 Students watched a video related to the topics studied in the class. Students checked the differences of pronunciation between American and British English.

MUSIC
Art is everywhere. Painting, drawing, singing dancing, writing, cooking etc.At the beginning was only the art of Muses but nowadays Music actually has the power to influence the way we dress, think, speak and live our lives. Music changes with time and even the definition of music varies according to culture and social context. There is also a strong connection between music and mathematics.To many people, in many cultures, music is an important part of their lives. Music is the key to creativity. Music improves our minds and that makes us creative.The greatest minds and thinkers like Albert Einstein, Mozart, and Frank Lloyd Wright all had something in common; they were constantly exploring their imagination and creativity. Music is good for education. It is a great tool for memorization. If more teachers get used to sing songs to teach something in their classes, kids would retain that information much quicker. Music can lead us on an extended journey where the time stops and you can feel any kind of emotions like sadness, happiness or excitement. All these things deal with the human senses and there is a certain type of connection that comes when you enjoy making music with a group of people that understands you.

STORIES AND LEGENDS OF EL SALVADOR

Salvadorian culture has a rich mythology that tells different situations and characters beyond time, some of them long before the Spanish colonization. The Witch Wagon Years ago there was a man without faith called "Pedro el Malo. On May 15th, the "San Isidro" festival, many people came to the town for the carts blessing. Pedro also took his cart, but he had bad intentions, stopping his wagon very close to the door of the church, far from the other carts. When the priest asked him to align his cart with the others, then Pedro said "I don't want your blessing, my cart is already blessed by the Devil" and he tried to enter his cart to the church, but the oxen resisted; rather they escaped from the yoke and cart rolled street down with Pedro. The priest said then: "You will wander forever with your cart". The oxen was saved from the curse, because they refused to enter the church. El Cadejo It is represented by a dog of great size and penetrating gaze. There are two cadejos, white and black. The White one symbolizes the good and black one symbolizes the evil. Some people say that the black one represents an evil spirit which appears to people who wander late at night, chase and hypnotize its victims with its huge red eyes, similar to burning coals. According to the legend, if black cadejo hypnotize you, it can steal your soul La Llorona This is one of the most popular legends of El Salvador, about the terrifying cries of a woman for her lost kids. Some people describe her as a floating woman dressed in white. Sometimes this woman starts crying in front of the door or window of a house, this is a bad omen because the family living in that house will have a lot of problems. El Mico Brujo A very popular story in El Salvador. It is the legend of The Witch Monkey; in certain towns of the country this character is related to a pig instead of a monkey. Our ancestors used to tell stories about some weird women with a magic plastic bowl in which they stored their souls, transforming into monkeys or pigs to make naughty acts, like climbing trees and throw fruits and stones to the people.

One of the most visited places in El Salvador are beaches as San Diego, El Majahual and others where families can play some games, have delicious seafood and specially, enjoy the sun and sea. Surfing is one of the most liked sports to do in the sea, facing waves and going through the fresh water. That catches the attention of young people and is a marvelous way to get fun. That could be combined with the perfect meal, fish, shrimps and cocktails that are in the menu going with a cold soda, juice or frozen. Enjoy holidays with family and friend is the best way to live the adventure of some deserve free work time!

Caring for the environment is a commitment we must all take to leave a better future for our next generations. Many people when they think about caring for the environment imagine very complicated and difficult task to perform, but it isnt, the truth is that it is very simple and ourselves we can start doing some of these things, even in our house: Turn off electrical appliances you arent using. Opt for paper bags and cloth bags instead of plastic. Make the most of the sunlight so you can avoid the electric lights. Dont waste water to bathe, brush your teeth, and wash your car and watering plants. Avoid traveling by car, walking or cycling besides caring for the environment and the ozone layer, will help you be healthier. Plant a tree; since trees provide oxygen, also they eliminate CO2 emissions, minimizing the effects of global warming. Recycle and reuse as much as possible, this you contribute to generate less waste. Dont throw waste into the street or anywhere else.

It has been almost seven-and-a-half months since Texans linebackerWilliam Alexandertore the ligaments in his left knee on October 8th at the mustang it wont be long now before he returns to the field. My return is right around the corner, so thats a good feeling Alexander said on Monday after the Jaguares first practice of OTAs. I can definitely tell you Ill be ready for the first game of the season, and Im pretty sure Ill be ready for the first practice come training camp. Alexander arrives at Cafetaln Stadium for rehab daily at 6:30 a.m., feverishly working to come back stronger than he was before The Jaguars defensive captain and 2011 MVP rehabbed on a side field for part of Mondays practice and watched the rest of it with his teammates, wearing his number 26 without a helmet as he talked with teammates and coaches and observed the action. Alexander will not return to practice until training camp in July, but the 2009 LCFA Defensive Rookie of the Year said he has been running, squatting, jumping and doing position drills in his rehab. I think Im doing pretty much everything I can do, Alexander said. I feel great. I think its just that last little bit of strength that I need to get, and then Ill be good. There havent been any setbacks. Its going great.
