This conference is coordinated annually by the Alzheimers Association Greater Wisconsin Chapter. Viki Kind, MA
Los Angeles, CA Viki Kind is a clinical bioethicist, medical educator and hospice volunteer. Her award-winning book, The Caregivers Path to Compassionate Decision Making: Making Choices For Those Who Can't, guides families and professionals through the difficult process of making decisions for those who have lost capacity. She has lectured across the United States teaching healthcare professionals to have integrity, compassion and to improve end-of-life care through better communication. Viki provides bioethics consultation and support for many hospitals in the Los Angeles area. She holds a masters degree in bioethics from the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Charlene Smith, RN, is a retired nurse having spent


20 years with Milwaukee County Services as a psychiatric nurse. Charlene is an enrolled tribal member/citizen of the Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin.
