2002 to 2009

Lead Yamahas launch into the Video business with Front Projection and Plasma display monitors. Role expanded in 2003 to supervising Regional Sales Managers and Independent Sales Representative firms to maximize sell-through and to maintain the industry lead in AV Receiver market share in the US. In 2005, took over Mass and New Channels with $110 million budget by expanding and entering in to new relationships with dealers like Best Buy, Frys, Costco, Radio Shack, PC Richards and HH Gregg. Lead strategic change within Yamaha as the marketplace evolved. Moved company to one-line solution, deemphasizing derivative line and assuring that the highest profile products where proudly displayed where the masses shop, like Best Buy and top Internet providers. Expanded channel sales by 40% in custom installation market by establishing CEDIA distribution network. Reduced on hand inventory by >50% and increased turnover 2x through effective Supply Chain Management. Product lead times were cut from 180 days to 74 days over a three year period. Grew sales by 58% in year two and 70% in year three of a single component, multichannel surround sound system. Overcame dealer resistance by identifying and implementing best practices and expanded product category to $17 million.
