SECTION VI – HEALTH HAZARD DATA
Under Normal Use Conditions: May cause eye and skin irritation like any soap or detergent.

Effects of Overexposure:
Eyes – Causes severe irritation, discomfort or pain, excess blinking and tear production, marked
with excess redness and swelling of the conjunctiva and chemical burns of the cornea. Corneal
injury may be severe, extensive if not treated.
Skin – Brief contact may cause slight irritation. Prolonged contact can cause chemical burns with
local discomfort or pain, severe excess redness and swelling, tissue destruction, fissures,
ulceration and possibly bleeding into the inflamed area.
Ingestion – Moderately toxic. May cause irritation of the mouth, throat and esophagus. May
cause abdominal discomfort, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Aspiration into the lungs may occur
during ingestion or vomiting, resulting in lung injury.
Inhalation – High concentrations of vapor or mist cause irritation of the respiratory tract,
experienced as nasal discomfort and discharge with chest pain and coughing.

First Aid:
Eye Contact - Immediately flush with copious amounts of water for at least 15
minutes. Consult physician.
Skin Contact- Immediately flush with copious amounts of soap and water for at
least 5 minutes. If irritation persists, contact physician.
Launder contaminated clothing before reuse.
Ingestion- Administer 2 glasses of water or milk and consult physician or poison control
center immediately. Induce vomiting as directed by physician. Do not induce
vomiting or give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Inhalation- Remove to fresh air. If necessary, give oxygen, artificial respiration, contact
physician.
