Focus of Lesson: End of unit, Round Robin Format Tournament. Students will utilize and develop proficiency all skills covered in the unit. Student Performance Objectives (SPO): (NASPE #; MA CF #; Task/Activity #)
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:

(P) Perform pickleball volleys with a continental grip for underhand and overhand hits throughout the lesson. Also avoid running into players when near safe zones. Paddles and balls must be treated with respect and must not be used to harm others Be aware of other students before swinging, use communication to avoid collisions Students not on the court playing will help facilitate games

SEQUENCE OF LESSON Attendance: Ss will enter the gym and report to their attendance spot. Attendance will be taken and then Ss will go into the locker room to change for class. Transition: Ss will go into the locker rooms to change, and then go outside to the tennis courts and report to the teacher an await instruction. Warmup Activity: Start and stop whistle signal will be explained. Signals: One whistle, Stop and look at teacher and wait for instruction.
Giants, Wizards, and Elves (terminology will be altered to rock, paper, scissors to make it easier to remember) Student will be split into two equal number groups. Groups will huddle at two opposite tennis court sidelines

(across two courts). Teams will decide whether to throw rock, paper, or scissors within 10 seconds. After 10 seconds, teams will meet at the middle. Teacher will count 1, 2, 3 Throw. Students throw what they decided either rock, paper, scissors. Team that throws a winning hand will tag members of the other team. Tagged players will change teams. Team that throws the non-winning hand may run back to the safe zone at the end of the tennis court sideline (cones will be in place to make it clearer). Students in the safe zone are no longer tag-able. Game will conclude after seven rounds. Transition: Students will report to teacher for further instruction at a tennis court sideline. Instruction: Teacher will give students 10 seconds to form teams of two. Teams that are formed will grab a paddle and move to the opposite tennis court sideline partners will line up one behind the other. Teacher will then count off 1-12 for each team to assign a team number. Teacher will then assign each team a court for a round robin format. Every three rounds, play will stop for 2 minutes for teacher to provide feedback. Activity:
