Position: General Manager/ Addl.

General Manager (Civil/ Architecture) (Gr-IX/VIII) The Job:

The candidate shall manage Civil/ Architecture works for creating and maintaining infrastructure facilities and for ensuring that all required services are provided to support the production process. i) To act as nodal person between the Corporate Management and various Divisions in conceptualization and implementation of Infrastructure requirement as per the Business plan. ii) Exposure to Green Building Concepts and Construction of Modern Engineering/ Production set up heading towards energy Efficiency & Automation. iii) Budgeting & Monitoring the expenditure as per the sanctioned Budget.

The Responsibility:
Interact with users to understand their functional requirements for works and services and to provide suggestions for meeting the complete infrastructure need; Interact with users for finalization of plan and design for civil & allied works including Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC); Monitor planning and tendering of civil work and services required for timely initiation of production process ; Manage price negotiations and finalization of contract related to civil works and allied works; Monitor and review progress of works and services for timely completion and quality assurance to facilitate the production process; Manage and monitor maintenance and housekeeping services for buildings to ensure uninterrupted production activities; Manage and monitor water supply, sewerage and horticulture works for factory and township to support production activity and for welfare of employees at optimum costs; Monitor and control the activities related to water and Air pollution for protection of environment from residue of factory in accordance with Environmental Protection Act and ISO 14001; Liaison with Internal Departments as well as Pollution Control Board, ISO Agencies, Contractors and Consultants, Jal/ Van Nigam and other Govt. bodies.

The Person:
The candidate should possess a Full Time Bachelors Degree Engineering/ Technology (Civil)/ Architecture with 21 years of post professional qualification experience (for the post in Grade IX)/18 years of post professional qualification experience (for the post in Grade VIII) in planning and tendering of construction works, maintenance of services like water supply and sewerage, horticulture works, pollution control activities related in any large industrial Sectors, Project Management Consultancy Organizations and Project execution Firms. Candidates possessing AMIE in Civil Engineering (with relevant Post Professional Qualification Experience) are also eligible to apply.
