Xiria-M

12 - 24 kV switchgear with integrated metering

Metering of energy is essential
In the past the electrical energy was generated in a small number of relative large power plants. This energy was transported through the high voltage network and then directly distributed to the end customers. Deregulation stopped this easy way of energy production, transport and distribution. Relevant questions are: Who is producing energy, how much energy is produced and where in the network is this energy used? This means accurate metering in various places in the network is essential nowadays.

Xiria with metering

Eaton Holec's answer to the increasing demand for accurate metering in the distribution network is the development of Xiria-M with metering. This special version of the Xiria system can be integrated easily and in a flexible way for every type of substation.

Features of the Xiria-M with metering

Pre-assembled tariff metering up to 5 MVA in class 0,2S according to the Dutch regulator (DTe) specification. Available as a complete assembled module with two 630 A ring cable panels and one 200 A or 500 A circuit breaker for the connection of a distribution transformer. The circuit breaker is provided with a fully integrated overload and short circuit protection. Short delivery time due to batch assembly and standard design. Nominal voltage 24 kV (maximal value). Connections Primary cables: T-connectors for cones type C according to EN50181. Secondary wiring: Terminals make Phoenix or Wago. Circuit breaker protection An overcurrent/earth fault protection relay make SEG type WIC1 with independant and dependant characteristics (inverse, very inverse, fuse characteristics). Dimensions and weight W x H x D = 1110 x 1555 x 600 mm. Weight: 450 kg.
