NOTICE

To 2013 Successful KGSP Graduate Scholars, Congratulations! We gladly inform you that you have been selected as a 2013 KGSP POSTGRADUATE scholar now that you have successfully passed the third round of selection process. Here are some important notices, which will help you to make good and timely preparations for arriving in Korea and starting out well.

Invitation Letter We sincerely hope that your study and life in Korea as a Korean Government Scholarship Program grantee will be a valuable and successful experience in your life. NIIED will soon provide you with an official invitation letter through your recommending institution or university for your visa issuance. As soon as you get the Invitation Letter via your recommending institution or university, you have to apply for your visa in your country of origin or outside of Korea.

Entry Air Ticket NIIED will provide an electronic air ticket for grantees via your recommending institutions. However, a few grantees may be requested to purchase their own air ticket due to exceptional circumstances. In case that you purchase your ticket in person, please refer to the Guidebook before purchasing it, and keep the invoice or receipt and the air ticket to get reimbursement after your entry into Korea.

Guidebook We also provide you with the Scholarship Guidebook for your preparation of entry into Korea. This guidebook will be very important for your stay and study in Korea as a Korean Government Scholarship Grantee. Please be sure to read it carefully to avoid any difficulties caused by missing some important information during your scholarship period.

July 2nd July 31th : NIIED or recommending institution will send you a one-way air ticket for your entry into Korea. If you have already been staying in Korea for some purposes with an appropriate visa, your entry air ticket will not be provided according to the KGSP policy.

August 26th August 28th : Your entry ticket schedule will be set on the basis of this period. A staff member from your language institution or degree institution will pick you up at the airport only during this period. NIIED orientation will be held in the end of August, 2013. September 2nd

: The Korean language training will start.

All important notices will be announced on the GKS website (www.studyinkorea.go.kr) or FACE-BOOK GROUP (https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/470121879747869/). Therefore, please refer to these site periodically.

All successful 2013 KGSP graduate scholars are still need to be confirmed on illegal record & eligibility by the Immigration Office in Korea officially and Medical health-check-up during the Orientation. and guidelines.
