Evaluation Guideline
1. All exams will be closed-book and written without any aids(e.g. textbook, calculators, scrap papers, cell
phones, pagers, and portable computers, formula sheets, etc).
2. Any tests written in pencil or erasable pen may be ineligible for remarking. If a test is submitted for remarking,
the entire test may be remarked, allowing the possibility that a student may receive a lower mark on any or
all questions.
3. You must bring your UT Photo ID to the midterms and the final exam.

Missed Test
1. Students who cannot be present for a test or the final exam because of serious illness must contact their
instructors (submit the medical note in person) prior to the time of the evaluation or within
4 business days. They must also submit a UT-approved medical form filled out by their doctor stating,
among other things, that they were too ill to attend school on the day of the test and giving the expected
duration of their illness. Besides illness, only very serious reasons, properly documented, can be considered as
valid excuses for missing an evaluation. For more information on this consult the Calendar.
2. There is no make-up test, but with valid documentation such as medical notes the missed test will be replaced
by the final exam later.
3. If proper documentation is not received within reasonable time, the mark for the missed test/exam will be
ZERO.
4. The missed test will be represented by -1 in the grade book on Blackboard.

Tutorial Procedure
1. Each student must attend the tutorial section indicated in his/her individual timetable. Do not attend a
different tutorial section; if you do, your name will not appear on the class list. Please check your schedule
carefully to be certain that you are going to the correct tutorial section.
2. Your test will be returned at your tutorial.

Regulations
1. We dont tolerate any academic misconduct. Please read the student academic integrity
at www.artsci.utoronto.ca/osai/students
2. No math questions will be answered by e-mail. Please see your instructor for help in person.
