KARMIC-2012 was one of the biggest events of the medical students in India. It's an attempt
by the Indian Medical Students' Association to act as a connecting link between the routine curriculum of medical education and the recent advances of medical science. Derived from the Sanskrit word "karma", which means "deed" or "act" and more broadly means the universal principle of cause and effect, action and reaction, that governs all life, KARMIC also believes in the deed/act of exchange and sharing of knowledge to have the effect of enlightenment of the budding medical minds. We, here at the Indian Medical Students Association are working towards a common goal , the pursuit of knowledge and the application of knowledge in practical fields. It is in this pursuit of knowledge that we organized KARMIC 2012. A conference par excellence, a truly unique experience which aimed to bridge the gap between the recent advancements in medical science and the routine curriculum of medical education.
