These are the business areas/problems you solve for your customer. If you sell a consumer product, it may be related to a calendar time of year, season or holiday. As example, if you sell business software, a theme area may be "Improving purchasing" or "Increasing Lead Conversion" or if you sell specialty food, it may be "Summer Vacations". Themes are not specific offers, but rather the catagories that certain offers may fit into. Even if you do not necessarily marketing using particular themes, it may help to have a theme in case you can't think of any particular topic to market on. You can always fall back on your quarterly theme. My themes are based around my industry. Things are typically very busy during Q1, then slow down in Q2, very slow during Q3 when everyone takes their vacations and people put off projects, and then pick back up again for Q4.

Why is this relevant to your target customer? Make the case that moving your business applications to the cloud is a cheaper alternative to maintaining on premise deloyments when you take into account the cost associated with hiring IT personel, purchasing servers, and upgrading your applications. Host a series of lunch and learns as well as webcasts in cinjunction with our User Group Meetings (UGM). Second Quarter Theme: Document Management Why is this relevant to your target customer? Coincides with audit season, there is a document management solution for all of our products, some support contract marketing as we approach the slow season. Third Quarter Theme: Business Intelligence Why is this relevant to your target customer? Available in all of the products we carry and intelligence tools are often very under-utilized. Educate people on what exactly BI tools are and that what they already manually translate into excel can be automated to save many hours of work. Fourth Quarter Theme: Year End Prep Why is this relevant to your target customer?
