Learning Outcomes
By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to: 1. Listen to the story and answer at least three of the teachers questions. 2. Perform the story in the form of role-playing. Pupils know about the simple words such as wind, sun, and etc. 1.0 Nouns 1.4 Common Nouns Sun, wind, tree, man, coat, etc. Pictures, video, masks, coat, role play scripts and task sheets. Presentation (5 minutes)
Teacher tells the story of the wind and the sun with the aid of the video.
The pupils listen to the story and look at the video. The pupils answer the teachers question.
Teacher asks: 1. What can the wind do? 2. What can the sun do? 3. What happened to the man as the sun came out and smiled at him? 4. Who is better? The pupils move Teacher divides the into their own class into groups of groups. four. Teacher explains the task to the pupils. Teacher distributes the scripts of role play to the pupils. The teacher picks the pupils to perform the role play in front of the class. The pupils listen to the teachers instruction. The pupils read the scripts silently. The pupils roleplay the story based on the scripts given in front of the class.
Materials: Role play scripts (Appendix 2), masks, and coat. CCTS: Associating
Teacher explains the next task of the lesson. Teacher distributes the task sheets to the pupils. Level 1 Pupils underline the words to complete the story. Level 2 Pupils choose the correct words and complete the blanks. Level 3 Pupils write the correct answer on their own. Teacher asks the pupils to exchange their task sheets and reads out the correct answer. Teacher lets the pupils to guess the moral of the story by guessing the word: Teacher explains why we cannot boast in our ability.
Pupils listen to the instruction. Pupils read the task sheets and answer them. Pupils exchange task sheet and do peer checking.
