THINGS TO REMEMBER
In reducing fractions to simplest form we can do any of the following Strategy 1 Divide the numerator and the denominator by their Greatest Common Factor Example: Strategy 2 Divide the numerator and denominator of the fraction by their common factor. Continue until the fraction is in its simplest form. Example: Strategy 3 List down all the prime factors of the numerator and denominator. Cancel out all common prime factors. Example:
