Depression and anxiety are more common during working age than in later life, accounting for a high proportion of disability, major economic costs, and financial losses to governments worldwide; in rich countries such as those in the United Kingdom, treatment is likely to have no net cost to the Exchequer due to savings on welfare benefits and lost taxes. http://cep.lse.ac.uk/pubs/download/dp1239.pdf Community Mental Health Survey 2013 Care Quality Commission This national survey of more than 130,000 people who use community mental health services in England shows the care people receive in the community needs to improve.
