PREREQUISITES OF THE COURSE: As a prerequisite for this course on Basic Electrical and Electronics
Engineering, knowledge of general principles of electricity, magnetism and semiconductor physics is assumed.

COURSE OBJECTIVE: This is a basic course for all Engineering students of 1st Year. The objective is to make
them familiar with basic principles of Electrical Power Engineering and to introduce the basic concepts required to understand the electronic devices, circuits and measuring instruments, the major equipments used in the system and the corresponding measuring instruments.
