(EACL), earlier known as Escorts Auto Components Ltd. was originally established by Escorts Ltd. in the year 1971. The parent company was established in 1944 and since then is skillfully engaged in the manufacturing business of two wheelers, tractors, pistons, rings, shock absorbers, oil pumps, etc. It also had forayed into health care and had constructed many world class heart hospitals. The earlier ventures of Escorts have been successful in their own right, being acquired by international companies like Yamaha, JCB, Class, etc. EACL is a Public Ltd. Company and on 25th June 2004, the management was taken over by a team of technocrats and professionals working in the company, by buying 78% equity from Escorts Ltd. In 2007, Dellorto, s.p.a. Italy took 12.5% equity in EACL. Delloroto s.p.a. Italy produces 1.5 million throttle body assemblies per annum and 1.2 million carburettors per annum.
