2 Manufacturing units
Laguna Clothing has two manufacturing unit. One is at Jigani(Bangalore) and the other one is at Kanakapura. Production in Jigani unit started in 2006. This unit has 550workers and its capacity is 4500 shirts/day .While the other factory at Kanakapura was set up in 2009.It has 1124 workers and its capacity is 6000 shirts/day.

3.4 Lead Times


Handlooms: Average lead time 1 week; Fast track: 3 days Sample Length: Average Lead time 3 weeks; Fast track: 2 weeks CAD within two days Shirt and Salesman samples: According to requirement Lead time for fabric: Yarn dyed: 8 weeks 11

Piece dyed: 6-7 weeks( 4 weeks if greige fabric is available)

3.5 Work flow in departments


The workflow of Laguna Clothing Pvt. Ltd is a planned and coordinated effort from all the departments. Focusing on the Quality, audit is performed at every stage of manufacture right from pre-production to post production. Following are the departments of Laguna : 1. Merchandising Department 2. Sampling 3. Warehouse Department 4. CAD Department 5. Cutting Department 6. Sewing Departments 7. Finishing Department 8. Quality Assurance 9. Industrial Engineering 10. CSO Department 11. Training Department 12. Maintenance Department 13. Human Resource & Administration Department All these departments are directly or indirectly related to the process of production. The following flowchart gives the clear picture as to how the work flows in the departments, which are directly involved for the process of production right from receipt and conformation of order to purchase than production to final finishing processes:
