With more than 120 years of experience in the development and design of hydropower projects, AECOM provides fully integrated project planning, feasibility, design, project management and operations/maintenance services to hydropower clients globally. Thermal, Geothermal and Nuclear


AECOM provides fully integrated, professional consulting and engineering services to clients for thermal and geothermal power developments. Our expertise incorporates the civil, structural, automation and electrical, architectural, process and mechanical components of steam cycle, gas and liquid turbine and reciprocating engine power plants. AECOMs experience in thermal energy covers generation planning, Independent Power Producer (IPP) project preparation and client risk mitigation, permitting, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, analysis of environmental and social life cycle impacts, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, maintenance and operation support. AECOMs experience in nuclear energy covers siting, permitting in support and construction and operation licensing (COLA) for nuclear facilities and nuclear process plants. Transmission and Distribution

Our clients are both network owners, such as transmission and distribution utilities, and network users, such as generators, electricity consumers and rail network operators. Our professionals have worked with more than 300 power utilities in over 50 countries on more than 53,000 kilometers of transmission lines. Our transmission and distribution team includes talented engineers, planners and environmental specialists who together provide the full set of competencies required within the electricity supply industry. We have specialist capabilities in environment and property services, institutional reform and development, strategic planning, power systems analysis, power quality, project feasibility development, detailed design, and construction supervision for networks of national scale as well as for all system voltages up to 800 kilovolts (kV).
