PROJECT CHARTER FOR NIGHT CANTEEN AT IIM SHILLONG

Objective:
To start a facility of night canteen in IIM Shillong premises so that we can provide a range of healthy food options in our canteens (food outlets) at prices those students can afford, and that also deliver a reasonable profit to the outlet

Milestone and Deliverable:

Milestone Location finalization Contractor Finalization Menu Finalization at the outlet Deliverables Approval from the college administration No Objection Certificate from students Consent from the security staff Open a Bid Floating an Expression of Interest for the same Post evaluation ask for request for Proposal Financial evaluation Gauging students interest and come up with the menu which will maximize our revenue and customer satisfaction Setting of a night canteen Putting up required infrastructure like plumbing, electricity supply, gas connection etc. for the same Ordering and procuring furniture for the same

Technical Specification and Requirement:

Location Specification: A room which has the potential for setting up required technical infrastructure i.e. plumbing, electricity supply and Gas connection Room should be big enough to accommodate 5 staff members and 30 students at a time

Contractor Specification: Contractor should have minimum work experience in similar domain in Meghalaya for at least 2 years

Limits and Exclusion:

Approval for the night canteen is outside the scope of this project and will be done by the representatives of the student body Plumbing and electrical work for the night canteen will be taken care by the contractor Our job is only the felicitation of the night canteen, day to day job will be carried out by the contractor The overseeing of the day to day operations and quality assurance will be done by Hostel Committee

Customer Review
Monthly review meeting will be held with the stakeholder to apprise them of the project developments and incorporating there suggestion in making decisions Contractor selection will be done by us in collaboration with the stakeholders which in this case is students All the documents related to expenditure will be made available in public domain Menu in the canteen will be decided keeping in mind the feedback taken from the students
